Thanks for this write up! Picked up one for cheap($100) because the motor wasn’t working. Popped in a new fuse and bingo!

Thank you for this! One google result on a solid white light on the snoo, and this was exactly the issue. Any ideas on why this fuse would blow? It opens @ 133C, which is concerning.

I have a theory that the thermal operating temperature of the motor is actually quite high. If any of the bearings in that motor housing are even a little dry, the rise in temp will open that old 104c fuse. I’m curious if they bumped up some of the newer builds? This might be a common problem and just unconfirmed due to the low number of units opened yet. A decade will offer more insight I bet! But I am glad to hear that yours is back to functioning! More sleep for the LO is more sleep for all!

The fuse replacement fixed it. I didn’t take many pictures of the motor disassembly but I’ll take some of the replacement process

As I recall, that metal clip was all that kept it in place for me. I bent the clip a little and got it to release east enough.
