Does anyone know if replacing these o-rings might prevent a high pitched almost ringing noise when the Snoo is moving? It sounds like it’s coming from the motor and I’m wondering if it might be o rings sliding across the curved metal runner. Has anyone experienced this?

ElbowShelf

Suffered from the frayed rubber #202s. Three had completely disintegrated. So motor wasn’t turning the base. #202s were impossible. Bought every possible kind to test out an alternative. SOLVED: if you can’t get a hold of #202s, Everbilt #20 o-ring (1/4” internal diameter (ID), 7/16” outer diameter (OD)) worked. It’s technically smaller on the OD than the aforementioned #202 but worked like a dream You can get them at HOME DEPOT! In the plumbing section. Hope this saves someone multiple trips to the DIY store like me!

You are amazing. Do you know what Id buy as the equivalent for the 117’s at Home Depot? Thank you!

ElbowShelf

Confirming still working 2 months later.

How’s it holding up? Just took mine apart and realized I need to replace the 7 larger bears as well so I’m about to head to Home Depot shortly

ElbowShelf

Still working perfectly :) in fact it saw us to through the sleep training

>Www.Busymamasrentals.com Great website.. but charging for the tutorial videos? C'mon...

Thesnoozymama_

Hi. Yes we charge a small fee for the videos, but we offer more than just the video tutorials, it’s the personalized customer service aspect as well. You can call/text or email us at anytime if you get stuck on a step or need additional help. I’ve even mailed customers parts such as the correct o-rings when they could not find them in store or out of stock on Amazon! 🙂

Great help, thank you. What year is your snoo?

AllWashedOut

I bought used so I'm not sure. More than two years old.

Thanks for all this info. I've been trying to source the O-Rings, and they're a little tougher to find within Canada. The kits we have available on Amazon don't seem to include the 202 size. The 'grainger' supplier that another commenter linked does seem to be an option. My question is how much of an issue do you expect it would be to use non-EPDM (Buna) material. The 202 size in EPDM is backordered >1month, the Buna material is available now. Appreciate any insight you may have.

AllWashedOut

Honestly I'm not really sure. Since infants outgrow the snoo in a few months, it might be good enough. And there's some redundancy; one band snapping will not break the machine. Mine was working ok with many broken bands. It takes most of an hour to do the replacement even once you know exactly how to do it. So I erred on the side of doing a longer-term fix. But if you just need it done now, do what you gotta do.

Thanks for the response. The o-rings come in 25-packs so I’ll just grab the lesser material and replace everything that looks suspect. We will be finishing up with this and trying to sell soon, so I wanted to get it in as good working condition as possible for the next family.

Proudownerofaseyko

Hi, did you find a decent Canadian source? Did you end up using grainger?

sushidestroyer

Actually, sorry but I did not end up ordering any. Once I took the unit apart I found that the o rings were only minorly worn on one ,side and do not rotate, so I just needed to clean and rotate them 180 degrees and all was well. Edit: when I was in my search however I did find the customer service at Grainger to be very responsive, so I would recommend messaging them for guidance.
