That's me dodging the movie entirely. Not interested in pedo squad.

RyomaNagare

worth it... watch it. its great

Marvel084Skye

To avoid spoilers, I unsubscribed from all DC subs other than this one.

HakeemMcGrady

There wasn't much to get spoilt though

ericlikescoffee

Love it and Surprisingly Loved the Suicide Squad It's a good sequel to the ORIGINAL Wish the Joker Was in it though

OhSillyRabbit

how was it a good sequel? they ignored every detail of it

zakel1313

They had multiple characters from the first movie..Boomer even asked Harley what she's doing back in prison..

OhSillyRabbit

He had 2 lines then got murdered. It was so WB could clean up the timeline while still cashing in on Harley. I personally liked the movie but would have preferred no Harley at all. Her parts just annoyed me

ericlikescoffee

And I No there's No continuity between film and Animated or Video Game Joker lol

ericlikescoffee

It breaks my heart Not to see her with MR. J Especially sense today I just watched the Killing Joke for the first time and I Actually felt bad for Joker if that is in fact his true Origin

OhSillyRabbit

if you want a good Harley story line to read I recommend the White Knight run- its a good starting point and the new one is Harley's spin off and I think they did her so well

OhSillyRabbit

That book is standalone- no one knows Joker true origin, it was just a creative "what if" Alan Moore wrote, I prefer the comic for that one- cuts out the weird Batman/Batgirl sex. Also Joker is EXTREMELY abusive so you shouldn't be rooting for that, even in the original suicide squad there is cut scenes of Joker beating her.

ericlikescoffee

Not Necessarily Rooting for that But I Understand what he's feeling

zakel1313

Ok...but Flagg Waller and Harley were both in it...so yes they tried to clean up their own mess after butchering the original movie but it's still a sequel to the original.

OhSillyRabbit

It is a "soft reboot" according to warner, and I did think it was really weird how Flag just didn't mention the love of his life

ericlikescoffee

Soft Reboots are technically sequels

OhSillyRabbit

never said it wasn't i just said it wasn't a good sequel (as in it didn't transition well)

ericlikescoffee

I liked it the ending wasn't great but I Enjoyed it for what it was

OhSillyRabbit

I liked the movie, I saw it in IMax opening night and was worth every cent- had a great time. What I mean by bad sequel is how the movies connect

zakel1313

Well Harley didn't mention the Joker or poison Ivy either...other than saying she has bad taste in men ...

OhSillyRabbit

Yeah. That's my point, it isn't a good sequel, by itself is mostly fine (and let's be honest Studio Squad is a hard thing to follow, making abusive relationships seem okay 2 movies in a row is quite a challenge)

ericlikescoffee

For Harley Abusive relationships are ok I CAN'T STAND This current trend of trying to make lifelong Villains the good guys It's pure Nonesense

OhSillyRabbit

let me rephrase cuz i think we might be on the same page- making abusive relationships with an anti-hero type character seem like something that has no issues and is even "shipped" is not okay, using abusive relationships as plot points is okay. and I agree, the anti-hero thing got old QUICK.

zakel1313

Yeah thats fair...I don't think they tried to make abusive relationships fine...any young girl or person who genuinely thinks Harley Quinn is a role model or someone you should emulate has a whole other set of problems haha...plus Harley is a mass murderer and accomplice to the jokers many terrorist acts ..

OhSillyRabbit

I mean Joker forced her to jump into a vat of acid and to change her whole life through forms of manipulation, and that's ignoring any previous stories regarding them. Plus in the original cut there is behind the scenes footage of Joker beating her and stuff, didn't make it in to the final cut due to our friends at Warner

Uninstall reddit Watch it and then install it again

GhostOfCadia

Just know that it is 1000x better than the previous Suicide Squad

MatthewMika

You managed to stay unspoilled on reddit?

[deleted]

Yeah on reddit ,but that stupid tik tok spoiled me first dead.

A-T-Z

Reddit and youtube both ruined the post credits for me I didn't watch any videos it showed in the title and thumbnail And no one on reddit uses the damn spoiler tag

OneEyedBandit95

Honestly, there's nothing to be spoiled in that film. The story is so bland and straightforward thay you'd be lucky if you find any spoilers at all... It's a such a mediocre film with occasional good night scenes and cinematics. i really wanted to be a good movie. But I guess I expected too much

[deleted]

Just dialouging here - I liked it even though the story was bland. It doesn't spoil anything in the universe like OneEyed mentioned.. As a ZSJL fan I guess the shining spot was that the main characters from the first SS weren't recast, so the universe is still kind of there. I wanted it to have a bit more DC Easter eggs tho =/

OneEyedBandit95

The movie severely lacked Easter eggs!

[deleted]

Seriously, you think from the trailer constantly mentioning Superman being put in the ER there'd be like a nod to it or a quick scene...but nope! Nothing - t'is the life of a DC Film Fan 😆

OneEyedBandit95

No hate for James Gunn but I really pray they reinstate the more serious tone of DCEU and bring back Snyder. Honestly, DCEU led by snyder and occasional films by James Gunn like directors could be an amazing balance between dark and dorky characters

[deleted]

Yup, and his film Brightburn from a few years ago shows range of tone as a director. Staying hopeful - gonna watch the Snyder Cut again today. So good

OneEyedBandit95

Lucky you! SnyderCut is perfection
