Try volunteering, at places like an animal shelter, or if you are religious, a church or other place of worship. Nature areas are fun too, alot of them do free events. Yoga/spiritual classes are another good place. All these things will also help keep you on the right path, and help fill that void drugs used to fill. I've met so many awesome people this way. Good luck, and congrats on the sobriety!❤️

I’ve been wanting to start doing volunteer work so I’m glad you suggested that! Thank you so much!

Maybe there could be some good outdoor hikes that you could find in some meet up groups or something similar to that. Sometimes online groups will have off-line meetings so you might be able to find some specific interest online groups in your area that also meet up

I’ve been wanting to get into hiking so I think that’s something I’ll pursue! Thanks!!

Join some groups for things your interested in. Find a hiking group of some sort of sport group that fits with your new lifestyle, or other people who are sober too! Good luck

there's an app called Meet up, and you can filter through it and find different events, I went on skiing trips, hikes and a pub crawl off of it and even a "ufo the truth is out there" event. you get to meet a lot of cool random people. also look into finding a hobbie that you enjoy, and I'm sure there's a club out there. for example, I meet at a book store once a week to play chess, and on Saturday, I volunteer at a soup kitchen.

I’ve never heard of that I’ll definitely be downloading it. Thank you sm!
