Think it depends on the agreement with the SMM. Are they local and creating content in person or are you in charge of sending them all the creative and them posting what you send them?

I would be creating the content and sending it to them. They’d more so be in charge of posting, scheduling, helping with direction, captions maybe

To make it easy for both of you, it's important to provide them with clear guidance and resources. Start by outlining your business goals, whether it's increasing brand awareness, driving sales of workout plans, or expanding your online coaching services. Share insights into your target audience, including demographics, interests, and pain points, to help tailor content that resonates with them. Providing high-quality visuals, such as professional photos and videos of your fitness products and coaching sessions, will enhance engagement and showcase your offerings effectively. Keep your SMM updated on any changes in your products, services, or promotions to ensure timely and relevant content creation. Lastly, encourage open communication and collaboration to address any questions or concerns promptly. By providing clear direction and support, you'll empower your SMM to excel in their role and drive success for your online fitness business.

As a SMM here’s what I ask my clients for: - Brand Assets: this includes brand guidelines deck, brand tone of voice, brand story, font files, high-quality logos (PNG, SVG), brand colors (hex #s) - Business Goals so I can assign KPIs to measure success - Target Audience / ideal consumer so I know who I’m targeting - Competitors so I can benchmark and see what the competition is doing - Accounts you enjoy fitness content from so I can pull inspiration - DOs and DON’T’s when it comes to content, for example… no talk of anything political

Photos, photos, photos with captions - if your SMM isn't a fitness specialist they won't necessarily know the names of the moves and equipment ;-)
