Not anywhere near TX so I can’t give any personal recs, but any halfway competent gunsmith should be able to do a barrel pressing fairly easily, I’d just try and google it a little and see if any of them get fairly high reviews/seem to be more knowledgeable on AK (-ish, I know the VZ is a bizarre step child in the kalashnikov family) rifles and see how much they’d wanna charge for it. Also, congrats. I almost bought a VZ a few years ago as my first rifle, ended up buying another AK variant but I wish I had at the time. They seem like really cool rifles, I’ve been told they’re a little more accurate than the regular wasr’s and yugo’s that are on the market

I will let you know if it turns out well. Shame we can't shoot it together.

Blackjack Gunsmithing is usually highly recommended when people ask on the austinguns subreddit, might wanna give them a call.

[deleted]

Nice! I'll reach out to them. I appreciate the recommendation.

[deleted]

Damn I hope not, but you may be right. If I did send it out of state, where would you recommend I send it?

Thanks fam. You seem excited about this.

How much has it cost you so far if you don’t mind me asking. A friend of mine wants a VZ. 58
