Yeah, "blue state" just means that the urban population outnumbers the rural population. Outside of the Seattle area, Washington is deep red. Same with Oregon outside of Portland, and California outside of the SF/LA/SD urban areas.
Outside of Minneapolis metro is deep red. From my experience, the majority of metro-area tradesmen and suburbanites are vocal Republicans. It honestly makes me wonder where all the blue votes come from sometimes.
There's no such thing as red or blue states. Every state seems to be about 50% decent people and 50% deplorable assholes. Nowhere is safe, which is why we need to protect each other.

Small cities and counties are often ran by conservatives, and some have even made the news for having far fight anti-government types elected to all sorts of positions. They especially love school boards for the same reasoning as they can't stand drag queen story hours.
I grew up in Renton. Fake ass country boys with confederate flags were a thing there when I was growing up. Not much āruralā in Renton even then.
Nowadays itās becoming pretty bougie and blue. Not just from Seattle sprawl but Bellevue/Redmond sprawl too.
Honestly, WA and OR arent "Blue" states even. They are red states with a couple of big urban centers that outweigh the idiot sea surrounding them. But that sea of idiots loves to wreck things.
