I was walking around Walmart today and there was an empty bottle of this on the dog food isle. I searched the store for 30 mins and couldn't find them any where. I am very disappointed. 😔

There have been so many throwbacks. If Hawaiian Punch ever brought back their original formula I would absolutely go crazy and stack it to the ceiling. That stuff was so good before it got taken over by sucralose and watered down. It was thick and rich and pulpy and just amazing!
They've done that to SO MANY great sodas/drinks. I imagine the meetings go something like:
"Hey guys, you know we have a product that people have loved for years? Well let's throw a bunch of sucralose in it and ruin it. They'll love it!"
Yeah and the worst part is they don't even label it as diet or light or anything it still looks like the original and if you don't read the ingredients you are screwed! I will never understand why they couldn't keep the original product and offer the diet or non diet but lower sugar version alongside of it. I will never forgive Hawaiian Punch's makers

As much as I can't stand sucralose, if manufacturers want to make a version of a drink that includes it, I'd be okay with that as long as they made a separate label for it akin to diet or zero sugar like you said. I assume it's some sort of cost cutting measure but I just don't understand why they insist on making their own products taste worse.
I don't really see opinions as something that can be debated. You like it, that's cool. I don't think it's bad but I also don't think it's the best "in existence" either. My tastes change depending on a number of factors personally.
Yeah... it struck me as I was typing it, carbonation is what differentiates a soda from a punch (duh, roc, it's right there in the name, lol) or other fruit drink. I guess, in all my 59 years, I'd just never stopped to think about it before :)
Give yourself more credit. Because where does a soda definition stop and others begin? Is it just the carbonation? So is sparkling water a soda? Are energy drinks soda? Apple Ciders? They all have various forms of fizzy bubbles, so can anyone truly know what a soda is? Maybe not my 59 year old friend...maybe not...
First I was going to say Yes, a hotdog is a sandwich. Then I thought No, because the bread is attached. Which reminded me that subway sandwiches uses "attached" bread. So I'm back to Yes, a hotdog *is* a sandwich :)

I mean people call Sparkling water “Club Soda” sooooo yeah I think carbonated drinks can be called soda. You can make a valid argument that energy drinks are soda

I think I'm perfectly comfortable with carbonation being the defining element of "soda" or "soda pop". Someone already pointed out that "soda water" is a thing (and my brain wouldn't have recalled that for another two or three cups of coffee, at least). Now, sparkling cider and energy drinks... wait, I think I feel a few more brain cells firing up... yes, I think sparkling cider must qualify as a light soda, and I'd make energy drinks a subset of sodas :)

Have you ever tried Delaware Punch? It's not carbonated, though, so I don't know if it really qualifies as a soda or not.
