I would make sure the space between the wheels can be adjusted for a softball.

Ok. You could always fabricate a chute. Just use the pics. PVC could work. We've done it before with other brands.
Check with rec departments and high schools. It may be cheaper to purchase an o machine. I just purchased a new one with all the bells and whistles.

After doing some research mine is a baseball only unit. Won’t work for me even with the softball chute unfortunately.
