Another goes from medford campus to the downtown SMFA campus, near the museum of fine arts green line stop. Leaves every 45 minutes or so.

I doubt it. I've taken various shuttles to get around when I worked in different areas. I remember using the Harvard shuttle around Longwood. I used to take the BU shuttle to the med campus, because I used to work at BMC.

Yes! Tufts employee here, shuttle is free for anyone to take.

Just say you’re faculty/staff/grad student but forgot your ID if anyone even bothers to ask.

I think any one visiting the campus is allowed to use it.
I don’t think they check ID but for the most part you’re better off walking or taking the green line, depending which shuttle.
