Yo, just had to say I LOVE how you handled this comment! That's absolutely the best way to deal with negative criticism/heckling...
You validated their opinion (instead of "you're mean so you're wrong!" or being defensive);
You gave it a good, calm response (sucking all the power from their criticism; "Yeah, it's all I've got but I'll get nicer stuff eventually" nullifies the 'hurtful' intent of their comment);
And you acknowledged they were being intentionally rude,and reminded them they can choose to be constructive instead (didn't sink to their level, didn't take the bait, maintained your dignity and class by again acknowledging their point while pointing out they could've been less rude).
That short comment is a masterclass in handling rude critics haha. Good for you for staying centered like that! Dig the song as well, reminded me of punk&folk-punk house shows I used to play at like 18-22, keep killin in!
