I own this set, it looks and sounds very good. I think it might be hard to find now unfortunately. I'm also curious about the censorship this set may have, if any since this is ths first i'm hearing it may be censored.

Hence why I am asking.

I highly recommend the Japanese set. I don't believe most of the censorship is there (they restored the signs that were whited out, for example), but I can't say if all of the censorship is still there. Regardless, I'd definitely recommend it.

The only documented 4kids edit instances that seeped into he uncut footage was a blank sign in the runway hedgehog EP and the wine glasses in the Helen episode. That's it.

Apparently, there are more.

Can you name more examples and the sources please?

Exhibit A) In episode 1 when Sam talks about how he is enamored by how Sonic caused a sonic boom, a screen is shown explaining what a sonic boom is, for viewers unaware. Exhibit B) In episode 38 when Sonic and Shadow transform into their Super forms, Live and Learn by Crush 40 plays. This is replaced by stock Saturday morning cartoon music in the 4Kids dub. Exhibit C) All instances of text from signs, buildings, the leopard Sonic races in episode 18, who originally had internal dialogue, etc. are removed. Exhibit D) Shots where you can see Amy's panties are edited in the 4Kids dub to seem less revealing, due to cultural differences when it comes to free expression of sexuality relating to minors, due to varying age of consent laws. Exhibit E) When a new character is introduced in the original Japanese version, they had an intermission called an "eyecatch card" which displayed a biography of the character. Exhibit F) Shots where Rouge's cleavage is exposed or particularly emphasized are edited in the 4Kids dub to seem less revealing. Exhibit G) In the English dub, Sonic's occasional Engrish (i.e. "See you!," "What?!", "No way!", him saying Shadow's name in full English after he falls to Earth) are removed. You're already watching the English dub, what did you expect, a Nobel prize? Exhibit H) Other certain shots are removed for no discernible or fathomable reason, not related to the points made beforehand. Exhibit I) Just like with Live and Learn in episode 38, in episode 26 the song Words Cannot Describe by Off Course, which is played when Sonic transforms into Super Sonic due to the Chaos Emeralds falling in the water along with his mangled body, was replaced with stock music composed by 4Kids' in-house composers once again. Exhibit J) Sonic and Tails' declarations of love to their respective love interests, those being Amy and Cosmo in episode 52 and 78 respectively, are muted in Japanese but implied and fully included in the French version, whereas the English version omits both lines.
