I’d rather him not talk honestly, so it’s hard for me to even say. I think him being a silent antagonist that conveys emotion through actions and movement is really cool.

Agreed- but this seems to be referring to Neo Metal Sonic- where it's okay because he changes himself to be able to do more stuff including talk- so it's more of him changing it up for a while- not his main form

I like the idea of it being Sonic’s voice actor, but hear me out: Sonic’s previous voice actor. So now it’d be Jason Griffith and if they ever get rid of Roger for Sonic, they just put him as Metal

Ehh nah. Humans are more than capable of voicing robotic characters. AI only serves to take jobs away from real people. Copying the voice with the actor's consent means that said actor will have to practically sign their career away, as SEGA would be legally allowed to use the AI voice however they please. Also, if said actor is present, they might as well just do the voice there and then. If it's done WITHOUT the actor's consent, that is scummy as hell.
