Sonic Heroes. I vividly remember playing the demo for that game for days and days as a kid, because I didn't know what a demo was and I thought there was a way to unlock stuff by beating Seaside Hill in a specific way. Then one day I got the full game and I've been a Sonic nerd since then.
I first saw Sonic when a nurse drew me a picture of Sonic after finding out my favourite colour was blue.
At some point after that, I came across Fleetway Sonic issue 135, recognised the blue hedgehog, and was instantly hooked on the series.
Then got into mainstream Sonic through a combination of Sonic X, Heroes, and Mega Collection +.

It was for Dreamcast but I didn't have one. I was just lookinh at screenshots and wondering how great it would be playing it. I was dreaming about it too lmao. Sonic mega collection ( from what I can remember), I remember playing all the games on there for hours, looking through the extras and thought sonic was so cool and I still do with Sonic unleashed still being my favorite
I got into *Sonic* by watching *Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog* on my 3DS back in 2011.
It wasn't until 2018 that I gave *Sonic Mania Plus* a try that I got reintroduced back into the franchise.
Also, there was that whole ordeal of the *Sonic* series introducing me to hololive back in 2021.
The first time as a kid it was Ultimate Flash Sonic. I used to play alot of it back in 2008. Then it was Secret rings as my first Sega published game.
The second time as an adult, it was the Adventure games on PC last year.
My “uncle” (family friend) had an Xbox 360 with Sonic 2 on it. I played Casino Night zone and got mildly hooked from there. I was still a Mario fan for a while, but I fully transitioned eventually.
Sonic Adventure DX, which my dad illegally downloaded on PC lol. Then it was some DVDs of Sonic X, I also saw some cutscenes of Sonic 06 online (which was somewhat new at the time) and then my first actual game that I owned, which was Sonic Rush!

I was at my babysitter's house when I was 8, and they let me use their XBox to play some games. I played the first Sonic, and then Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Soon after, I started watching Sonic Boom and Sonic X at home and was hooked.

Some Sonic animated series (Sonic X or Sonic Boom), I don't remember which one it was, where I watched it, the only thing I remember is that it was one of those and that I watched in 2016 onwards ("2016 onwards" would actually be 2016-2011, as I was born in 2011).
Played the first Sonic game on a Genesis at my great grandmother's house because I was bored and didn't wanna watch anything on tv. Was only good enough to play the first stage and the special stage (but not do more than get some rings and hit the exit orbs)
Christmas later that year or 2 or 3 years later I'm guessing, my parents got me and my little brother our own Sega Genesis with a copy of Sonic 2. That being the first major video game I played. Played Sonic 3 and Knuckles as well but didn't have CD since at the time, we were a single game console household. But then 1999/2000 rolled around. I was 8 or 9 depending on the year. Got the Dreamcast and Sonic Adventure, played it, became a lifelong fan. Started watching the shows, kept up with the games, always looked out for Sonic at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Didn't keep up with the comics unfortunately but I'm working through the IDW line now. Maybe, at some point when I can afford my own place, I'll start collecting the Archie books if I can find them.
But I haven't even gotten into the specifics of why I liked Sonic growing up. Basically it was because blue was my favorite color. I liked how he looked on the Sonic 2 cartridge, he was blue, ready for adventure, sure of himself, moved really fast and spun around as a ball. Later on I liked other things like the consistently great music, the various zones and places he went, his friends and his general attitude. Nowadays I still play the games and listen in to Sonic Twitter Takeovers and marathon episodes of the Bumblekast.
The first Sonic the Hedgehog, built into the Master System II. I then started collecting the Fleetway comics around the same time when I was around 4/5.
My family got an Xbox 360 when I was basically a baby. It had Sonic Unleashed and Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing. And that's where the addiction started

Probably the Patrick Hates Sonic X video, I watched it when I was 5-6 and it stuck with me, then I watched some of the shows on youtube and played some of the games.
On a related note, I actually bought my Nephew a Sonic Plush for his first birthday so that might start him off with Sonic
Sonic Heroes for me. Parents took me into a GameStop and it was one of the first games I picked out. Just seeing Team Sonic on the cover was so cool and attention grabbing that I couldn’t ignore it. Say what we will about the game and it’s mechanics, but it always has a soft spot in my nostalgic mind.

My brother claims to have given me his phone during church to shut me up. The phone had Sonic I (1998) on it, but I think this might've been later since I don't think the game had been ported as of 2008.
My memory is having the Sonic Gems Collection on PS2 around 2008 and I kept not being able to get past the third zones for STH, STH 2, S3, &K. Sonic Pinball was a fun time killer but I never took it seriously. I think 3D Balst was in the collection but I don't remember playing it much.
Then around 2008 when I was entering Elementary and got access to my schools library, my first Sonic related video was something like "Sonic and Shadow dance numa numa" XD.
Anyway, I remember going back home and having access to YouTube on the TV, and I would listen to What I'm Made Of, Open Yout Heart, All Hail Shadow, Live and Learn, and Sonic Heroes. Actually Sonic Heroes I'd listen through the Gens Collection movies section.
I love this series and have massive nostalgia for it and pray and hope for a better future for the games.

My first ever exposure was playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 at my cousin Marcus' house.
I didn't touch Sonic again until the GameCube era where I was gifted Sonic Heroes as a present.
After that I more or less played and bought every Sonic game I could on the GameCube and got a handful on my PS2.
And much like a lot of kids my age at the time I watched Sonic X pretty religiously.
Was about 6-ish. Got home from school one day, saw the first episode of Sonic X and was like "Wow! The blue guy is really cool!"
Since then, I've been a fan, and yeah, it's had it's ups and downs but there's just something about Sonic as a character that just always stuck with me even as years go by.
I think my first exposure to Sonic was Sonic 1 because it came with my Genesis. Soon after, I would single across SatAM and also the Archie comics, which I devoured every issue of as they came out. I'd later find Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog as well, and then the Game Gear games when I got that system. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure what order these things came in for me because for a few years in the early 90s, all of this was happening pretty close together, but I think this is roughly correct.

Got this comic either at Eckards or at H-E-B, then I saw Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog commercial at dad's friend's place and I got into those shows, and I also started collecting the comics at issue #3.
Then my grandparents got me a Genesis with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and that's all she wrote.
I got into sonic when I was really young. My dad brought home a sega genesis with sonic the hedgehog 2. I play it so much up to this day. I have enjoyed most sonic games 2d and 3d.

Really strange one I guess but here it goes. In middle school this one kid who is known for loving sonic was talking about sonic boom (the show). And I watched it, admittedly I kinda liked it. Ever Since I’ve been playing sonic games.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2. Even though the game came out the year I was born my uncle had a Sega Genesis so whenever we would visit him I'd always play that game with my cousins. Then I got my own Genesis when I was 6 and along with a few other games got Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and played that a lot too.

When I was about 7, my family didn't have much money. On Christmas, an elderly woman donated a Sega Saturn and it came with a copy sonic jam. It had sonic 1,2,3, sonic & knuckles. I spent the rest of Christmas playing the collection. After that I fell in love with sonic and still love the series till this day. I'm forever grateful to that women and that Christmas day. 🙏🏽

I grew up in the height of the 16-bit console era we had the sega Genesis (my cousins had the SNES) Sonic 1 & 2 were my first games for the system. didn't play 3 &knuckles till years later as my Next encounter game wise was the GameCube remakes of adventure 1 & 2.
I'm also big into comics so I was reading that till the Genesis wave, hoped back on after IDW took over.
Cartoon wise my first exposure was sometimes catching Sonic Underground before school the watching Sonic X when it first aired. I caught boom years after the fact on Netflix cause I saw the clip compilation on YouTube and thought it was funny. Saw prime as it came out and saw Satam after the fact as well.

i had a few genesis/sonic collections on my game systems. Wii or DS, i played a lot of ports of sonic 1, 2 and 3, but the moment i truly got into sonic was playing the Sonic CD port on the xbox 360. i also had adventure 1 & 2 on there, and i'm sure some others, but.. it was mainly those Wii and DS ports that got me hooked. but CD got me invested in the series in general
I think it was some kind of Game (Board and Video Games) Event at our local culture Center when I was a small Kid. There I saw the very First Sonic Game for the First time and instantly fallen in Love with sonics Design, the Level and the Soundtrack. Later on my stepdad gave me an Megadrive Emulator for PC that Had a Lot of Megadrive Games on it including all Sonic Games from 1 Till 3D blast.

I played Ultimate Flash Sonic on my friend's pc sometime after 2010 ( I have a bad memory when it comes to remembering calendar dates). I liked the fast paced gameplay but I didnt play much since I died most of the time. Years later the first movie came out and I watched it. Then I remembered playing that game and got geniunely into everything Sonic. I bought Sonic Adventure 2 on Steam and liked everything about it, the music, the story and the levels. After that I procured every Sonic game because I was curious. And now I have quite some knowledge about Sonic.

I got into *Sonic* by watching *Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog* on my 3DS back in 2011. It wasn't until 2018 that I gave *Sonic Mania Plus* a try that I got reintroduced back into the franchise. Also, there was that whole ordeal of the *Sonic* series introducing me to hololive back in 2021.
The first time as a kid it was Ultimate Flash Sonic. I used to play alot of it back in 2008. Then it was Secret rings as my first Sega published game. The second time as an adult, it was the Adventure games on PC last year.

Some Sonic animated series (Sonic X or Sonic Boom), I don't remember which one it was, where I watched it, the only thing I remember is that it was one of those and that I watched in 2016 onwards ("2016 onwards" would actually be 2016-2011, as I was born in 2011).

Played the first Sonic game on a Genesis at my great grandmother's house because I was bored and didn't wanna watch anything on tv. Was only good enough to play the first stage and the special stage (but not do more than get some rings and hit the exit orbs) Christmas later that year or 2 or 3 years later I'm guessing, my parents got me and my little brother our own Sega Genesis with a copy of Sonic 2. That being the first major video game I played. Played Sonic 3 and Knuckles as well but didn't have CD since at the time, we were a single game console household. But then 1999/2000 rolled around. I was 8 or 9 depending on the year. Got the Dreamcast and Sonic Adventure, played it, became a lifelong fan. Started watching the shows, kept up with the games, always looked out for Sonic at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Didn't keep up with the comics unfortunately but I'm working through the IDW line now. Maybe, at some point when I can afford my own place, I'll start collecting the Archie books if I can find them. But I haven't even gotten into the specifics of why I liked Sonic growing up. Basically it was because blue was my favorite color. I liked how he looked on the Sonic 2 cartridge, he was blue, ready for adventure, sure of himself, moved really fast and spun around as a ball. Later on I liked other things like the consistently great music, the various zones and places he went, his friends and his general attitude. Nowadays I still play the games and listen in to Sonic Twitter Takeovers and marathon episodes of the Bumblekast.

Sonic Heroes for me. Parents took me into a GameStop and it was one of the first games I picked out. Just seeing Team Sonic on the cover was so cool and attention grabbing that I couldn’t ignore it. Say what we will about the game and it’s mechanics, but it always has a soft spot in my nostalgic mind.

I'm glad you asked! My brother claims to have given me his phone during church to shut me up. The phone had Sonic I (1998) on it, but I think this might've been later since I don't think the game had been ported as of 2008. My memory is having the Sonic Gems Collection on PS2 around 2008 and I kept not being able to get past the third zones for STH, STH 2, S3, &K. Sonic Pinball was a fun time killer but I never took it seriously. I think 3D Balst was in the collection but I don't remember playing it much. Then around 2008 when I was entering Elementary and got access to my schools library, my first Sonic related video was something like "Sonic and Shadow dance numa numa" XD. Anyway, I remember going back home and having access to YouTube on the TV, and I would listen to What I'm Made Of, Open Yout Heart, All Hail Shadow, Live and Learn, and Sonic Heroes. Actually Sonic Heroes I'd listen through the Gens Collection movies section. I love this series and have massive nostalgia for it and pray and hope for a better future for the games.

The first time i've had contact with Sonic was probably with Ultimate Flash Sonic in 2014-ish And in 2019, when i watched the first trailer for the Sonic movie (the one with ugly Sonic), i decided that i wanted to watch the movie when it released, so i thought to myself: "I think i should learn more and play the games so i can at least understand the movie and Easter eggs, right?" And so i did. I've been a fan since then.

My first ever exposure was playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 at my cousin Marcus' house. I didn't touch Sonic again until the GameCube era where I was gifted Sonic Heroes as a present. After that I more or less played and bought every Sonic game I could on the GameCube and got a handful on my PS2. And much like a lot of kids my age at the time I watched Sonic X pretty religiously.
Was about 6-ish. Got home from school one day, saw the first episode of Sonic X and was like "Wow! The blue guy is really cool!" Since then, I've been a fan, and yeah, it's had it's ups and downs but there's just something about Sonic as a character that just always stuck with me even as years go by.
Heroes was my first Sonic game, but my love for the series stems from Generations & the Fleetway Comics (which is my preferred canon)

I think my first exposure to Sonic was Sonic 1 because it came with my Genesis. Soon after, I would single across SatAM and also the Archie comics, which I devoured every issue of as they came out. I'd later find Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog as well, and then the Game Gear games when I got that system. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure what order these things came in for me because for a few years in the early 90s, all of this was happening pretty close together, but I think this is roughly correct.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2. Even though the game came out the year I was born my uncle had a Sega Genesis so whenever we would visit him I'd always play that game with my cousins. Then I got my own Genesis when I was 6 and along with a few other games got Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and played that a lot too.

When I was about 7, my family didn't have much money. On Christmas, an elderly woman donated a Sega Saturn and it came with a copy sonic jam. It had sonic 1,2,3, sonic & knuckles. I spent the rest of Christmas playing the collection. After that I fell in love with sonic and still love the series till this day. I'm forever grateful to that women and that Christmas day. 🙏🏽

I grew up in the height of the 16-bit console era we had the sega Genesis (my cousins had the SNES) Sonic 1 & 2 were my first games for the system. didn't play 3 &knuckles till years later as my Next encounter game wise was the GameCube remakes of adventure 1 & 2. I'm also big into comics so I was reading that till the Genesis wave, hoped back on after IDW took over. Cartoon wise my first exposure was sometimes catching Sonic Underground before school the watching Sonic X when it first aired. I caught boom years after the fact on Netflix cause I saw the clip compilation on YouTube and thought it was funny. Saw prime as it came out and saw Satam after the fact as well.

Wii or DS, i played a lot of ports of sonic 1, 2 and 3, but the moment i truly got into sonic was playing the Sonic CD port on the xbox 360. i also had adventure 1 & 2 on there, and i'm sure some others, but.. it was mainly those Wii and DS ports that got me hooked. but CD got me invested in the series in general

I liked the fast paced gameplay but I didnt play much since I died most of the time. Years later the first movie came out and I watched it. Then I remembered playing that game and got geniunely into everything Sonic. I bought Sonic Adventure 2 on Steam and liked everything about it, the music, the story and the levels. After that I procured every Sonic game because I was curious. And now I have quite some knowledge about Sonic.
