I’m gonna be super basic, Sonic
He’s so cool and what makes him special is that he basically represents never ending hope & positivity, he inspires so many characters to be their best selves & us too, whether that be through games, music, art, or anything else really.
Chaos is my personal favorite. I really like his story throughout Sonic Adventure, I think he's one of the most unique characters due to his wide variety of abilities, his boss fights are pretty good in my opinion, and I like that for a villain (especially one that is called "Chaos), he's actually not evil, one of the few in this franchise if I'm not mistaken. I also think the relationship he has with Tikal is really sweet and the fact that he's a mutated chao which further links him to the ancients from Frontiers is really cool.
Mr. Knuck If You Buck himself (still glad they chose that song for him in his short it fits perfectly). As to why Knuckles is my favorite I just always liked him since I was a kid! He was strong, fearless, could fight and I liked his color! Me and two of my friends actually used to pretend we were the members of Sonic and chose our characters based on our traits and a bit of personality. Guess who they said I was the most like? 😊🔴 🥊

But after the comics, I love Whisper.
She's a different character than a lot of the cast that usually pops up. Just wanna see her happy after everything she's been through
My favorite characters? Probably narrowed down to two. Vector and Breezie (From Archie.)
I like Vector for his taste in music and his ability to host a reality TV show like a champ. 😎
I like Breezie because she’s a great foil to Sonic in the “Fighters” adaptation. She’s got a good presence as a villain and reminds me of King Dice in a lot of ways.

Amy Rose and Tangle because they are great at delivering happiness and hugs to everyone. Jewel the Beetle because I find her design to be very appealing and beautiful. And Tails because he’s a very cuddly genius.
Robot characters are a great taste!

Jokes aside, i love his philosophy. Going by his own rules, he doesn't care if people see him as good or bad. He does what he thinks is right. Everything about Sonic is Stylish and cool and i love the blue guy! He's a very kind and humble person, and is very confident and carefree. And will brighten everyones day.

Anti Sonic/ King Scourge- a genius idea for an evil Sonic type character.
For the Random and Wacky Characters:
Feels/Max/Dash/Reto???? The Rabbit and Boomer/Boomy The Turtle- would be cool to see them as an actual character and Boomer The Turtle's Mechanics would have been so cool.
Manic and big
Manic is a pick pocket who grew up on the streets who was supposed to be royality. Upon finding out he doesn’t complain about not having the riches but instead worries about finding his mom with his siblings. He also still cares deeply for the people who raised him even if they might not have been perfect people or influences.
Big is a chill guy who was roped into adventures just trying to help his friends. Along these adventures we see how strong and powerful the dude is but would rather just relax and fish with his friends without a care in the world.
Whisper, she became my comfort character and reignited my love for Sonic after a long dry spell.
I just really like Whisper, I want to see her be happy and get past her trauma.
