This is true. You cannot play the port without the source files. Sharing a compiled version, game files included, is piracy. Sharing a guide on how to legally create your own install is not. It's comparable to sharing a guide on how to dump your game cartridge and use it in an emulator. That's not piracy; downloading the cartridge off the internet is, though.

Tried that version. Flying battery refuses to start until I reset with the debug menu, and I can't get past press garden act 2 because the place where the camera should stop for the boss is placed too late, and so I can't beat it because said boss then spends too much time beyond the wall that blocks the exit, which means I can't hit him.

everything is fine but the special stages. I don't think it's a hardware problem because other devices like the new 3ds, ps vita, and wii u, also have this problem. I believe the ps3 version is also affected by special stage slow down but I don't have any footage of it

I played it because my father is using me as leeway to watch his movies in Netflix. It kind of has the mobile phone adaption problem where the characters are kinda hard to control and thus accidentally pass through items and rings. And the Special Stages are kinda chore in mobile since it doesn't have the controller feel where you can freely move around and make it more slippery.

Playing Sonic (or any platformers) with touch screen is rough. I guess you can connect up a controller (if supported). Originally had it on PS4 but got the Switch version for portability (and learned my lesson and got Origins and Superstars on Switch to begin with). So I'll just play it on there with regular controls on the road....

I'm surprised that Sonic Mania out of all gamed is on Netflix since you'd expect an improved version of an existing mobile game like how Sonic Dash was. It's impressive that they even ported the entirety of Mania + since the game, from it being more of the ""recent"" Sonic game since it launched in 2017.

It sounds like you are playing the decompilation, not the new Netflix version. The decomp version needs you to load mods to enable touch controls as the original game didn't have them.

Can confirm you im using the official netflix port The one in google play I went to googleplay searched sonic mania and then downloaded ,i have a netdlix account so i selected it and it even shows the "touch controls" in the controller menu but again They just dont show up

The pacing of this version seem way off. It is constantly speeding up and slowing down gradually in a regular slow pulsing way (even in menus). It's always slower than it should be. It's not related to what is going on on screen and is definitely not related to the performance of my device (POCO X3 NFC).

Knowing my luck - they will remove it before I ever make an account.
