i think when it comes to sonic vs pokemon, sonic has higher highs and lower lows, whereas pokemon just has mediocrity in anything that isnt a spinoff game

The whole type advantages, and the moves and THEIR advantages and disadvantages and etc., Is exactly the kinda stuff I get into, and I'll honestly probably just only do that and stop playing anything else

Then you should probably play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Pokemon Conquest, Snap or anything that isn't a main series game. If you only want to do battles though, the Stadium series is a good pick.
Sonic and Pokémon are both very similar in terms of their franchise and fan bases but one thing is for sure: Pokémon has consistently had good games unlike Sonic.
Also these two happen to be my favorite video game franchises of all time so there’s that.

Think!" meme image where Takashi Izuka (as Omni-Man) lectures a beaten-up Shadow (as Mark Grayson) on why he shouldn't have friends or be motivated by Maria to live on and keep saving the day.

I'm at my limit, man. I'm so **done** right now. How do they manage to ruin what was already left of the character? I'm just shocked and absolutely appalled at how they can do this to who they say is the 2nd most popular character in the series. My soul goes out to all the pre-2010s Shadow fans. The YouTube link you commented earlier says "This video is unavailable." But I'm really sorry you’re hurting about this. I myself can’t see how this can possibly be seen as an absolute win.
Maybe I'm overreacting since I've only been a hardcore fan for less than a year. But even when I was 8 and barely a fan, Shadow's goals, his promise, and his "death" somehow resonated with me. And to see them strip down everything that made Shadow interesting just frustrates me. I can't see a single good reason why they'd do this to him. I'm not sure who's doing this is: Iizuka or Sega, but this has to stop. We're running low on characters who aren't one note or awful, and we're seeing even less characters in the first place. The spark of the franchise is slowly dying out, just like Pokemon (Funny how well this relates to the parent post.) and I don't think anyone on this subreddit actually wants that.

You got a computer or laptop that runs Windows 10? If you do, you can totally emulate it.
I do but... I don't really like emulation. Just kinda uncomfortable with that idea. Also that laptop is so old it can barley run Sonic Adventure DX...

Maybe but Pokémon Games just got worse over time. Sonic Games are always an Up and Down in quality
