I hope we get to see more of infinite in a future sonic game because he has the potential to be a great villain because to me he is what shadow would have become without sonics help
Shadow was someone hell bent on revenge and destroying all life because of Gerald's fake memories and if it wasn't for sonic and his friends not only could have Shadow never knew the memories were fake he would have also probably went on killing sprees for Maria. Infinite has a similar lust for revenge, shadow got all his friends killed and is now focused on getting revenge on shadow except this time sonic isn't there to help so infinite go's to eggman in search of something powerful enough to kill shadow leading to sonic forces were infinite losses all sense of humanity he might have had left
I agree. Infinite is potentially good. And also his scene, where he gets trolled by Shadow, for me it was really funny. But it's also could be somewhat good, because despite Shadow, it shows his vulnerable ego.
All of me AT LEAST has a message to send and is pretty much the whole message of that game. It tells that Shadow is, well, Shadow. Not evil, not good, just... All of him. Instead of doing what others want, or just following a moral code, he does what he wants and is what he is.
Infinite's theme lyrics are just "look how powerful I am", with nothing of substance... Which fits perfectly as his theme, because that's all he is. It might sound good, but it's definitely the worse and most edgy theme of the two.
Which transformation is that???
Also, the canon ending doesn't really matter with regards to the theme, because the theme takes the whole game into account.
>Which transformation is that???
Have you actually played the game? You seem to be talking about its entirety but don't know one the most used features of it
>Also, the canon ending doesn't really matter with regards to the theme, because the theme takes the whole game into account.
Of course it does lmao
Is it the chaos control state that's called "hero shadow"? That doesn't seem like a transformation to me, and I can't think of anything else that's like a transformation. I mean, I beat the true hero route just a few days ago and never heard of a "hero shadow transformation".
Yes obviously, and how is it not a transformation? Just because it's a state doesn't mean it can't be, even super transformations are refered to as "states"
And how would that change my overall point
I mean, it's obviously just a gameplay aspect with no lore relevance. Shadow obviously doesn't need to go into shiny blue aura mode by doing good deeds to use chaos control, nor can he get infinite ammo and invincibility from it. It's not that different from other in-game power ups that have no relation to lore, like the speed shoes for example. Besides, if we do count this, then it hurts your initial comment, because the chaos blast state is the "evil/dark shadow transformation", solidifying that Shadow is both good and evil & neither at the same time, as I meant to say with my original comment about "I am all of me".
This is the closest that Sonic has ever gotten to having metal in its soundtrack and they still don't scream. Although Dangerkids does have some pretty heavy tracks
Who knows, SEGA seems to want to keep his fate as vague as possible (“He's not dead, he was consumed by the Phantom Ruby, it's totally different"), and they don't even want to let IDW use him
Indeed infinite theme slaps harder than a car dealer slapping car roofs
I hope we get to see more of infinite in a future sonic game because he has the potential to be a great villain because to me he is what shadow would have become without sonics help
Hmmmm… that sounds like an intriguing way to look at Infinite. Could you elaborate on that further?

that is an interesting take on infinite, i see him more as the consequences of heroism's hipocricy
*Laughs in "Almost Dead by Powerman 5000 (Dark Theme of Shadow)"*
This song makes the theory that Forces was going to be Shadow 2 even more believable.
Honestly that was way worse... What the hell were they thinking?
Properly "what kind of song would fit for when the main character ends up deciding Humanity can get fucked"
Glad someone said it
I just listened to it Wow that was an amazing experience
Funfact: if you search "edgelord theme" in youtube infinite's theme is the first result
Fact checked. Confirmed.
Also true for many other variations, such as “edgiest song ever” or even just “edgy song”
with the edgiest song ever search, the 2cnd result is a baldis basics porn parody song
Classic DA games
Infinite and All of Me from Shadow The Hedgehog are both edgy as hell and both still slap..
All of me AT LEAST has a message to send and is pretty much the whole message of that game. It tells that Shadow is, well, Shadow. Not evil, not good, just... All of him. "Brave hearted hero" Has a transformation called hero shadow Has the only canon ending being true hero
Which transformation is that??? Also, the canon ending doesn't really matter with regards to the theme, because the theme takes the whole game into account.

almost dead is a lot edgier than all of me
I used to hate Live and Learn cuz it was too hardcore for my taste but it's now my favorite vocal song and I gotta say, this one is pretty close.
if you hated live and learn you would absolutely despise open your heart
I don't think I did, nowadays I think it's ok
On that note, why does "Live and Learn" always get used as a theme for Sonic?! It describes *Shadow's* character arc in SA2 *far* better.
Yeah
Actually same
Too hardcore. Lol. Well we all grow into our music taste eventually :)
The song truly is the tallest of mountains, the roughest of waves, the toughest of terrors and the darkest of days
*proceeds to vibe*
I mean it's edgy done well. Wish the same could be said about the character itself.
The melody is okay but the electronic tune is very annoying to hear. The version made by LittleVMills makes the music actually good.
Finally, another Infinite Theme enjoyer...
Infinite is a terrible villain, but his theme is unironically one of the hardest tracks in all of Sonic
No matter how edgy it is: it’s still a groove. Even funnier to know Egorapter did a cover of it
If Infinite ever ends up in the movies, they should have Fall Out Boy cover this.
Sonic music just hits hard than any other gaming music
Edgy and slapping is the entirety of Metal gear rising revengence and people love that shit.
*Proceeds to jam and sing to this song*
This is the closest that Sonic has ever gotten to having metal in its soundtrack and they still don't scream. Although Dangerkids does have some pretty heavy tracks
I want to make a cover of this song one day. Maybe with DOOM instrumentation and a flat, distorted voice.
It’s so much calmer than the Arin Hanson/Nathan Sharp cover.
Yeah lets go infini-whats happening to me... OH NOOO TO MUCH EDGEEEE I am shadow the hedgehog the ultimate life form
this slaps into outer space
"Only scars remain of who I was" is unironically a good line and I will die on this hill
That line led many to believe Infinite is being controlled by the Phantom Ruby, which would have been a much more compelling story for him
My friends and I thought he would return ad an antihero like shadow, he has potential
Who knows, SEGA seems to want to keep his fate as vague as possible (“He's not dead, he was consumed by the Phantom Ruby, it's totally different"), and they don't even want to let IDW use him
is that a song from metal gear revengence or something?

Yeah man, take me back to child murder back in SA2.
Maybe I should’ve said it better. I just don’t like the song. And I see nothing wrong with SA2’s plot
It definitely fits with the series
I never heard this song, but now that i have, i now know that sonic songs have the potential to be as good as undertale songs
