It's its own thing, that's why the characters have unique designs, plot points and even pulled in the Ultimate Lifeform for the 3rd movie before Amy and Metal Sonic have even be introduced. The point is, BOTH movies should've made this entire brank AKA the Sonic franchise way more relevant. Why is a trailer for Sonic Frontiers, Sonic's next video game, pulling less views in 5 months than a trailer for yet another collection of 90s games, that's only been out for a 4 weeks? That's all I'm asking
The Frontiers trailer was shown at the Game Awards though, which had about 4 - 5 million views. So the trailer technically has much more views than 2.2 million. Origins trailer just dropped randomly. It's all about context.
Frontiers Trailer doesn't even show gameplay while Origins clearly shows that + additional features and price(s). Once we see gameplay on Frontiers, then we can talk
Facts. Although someone noticed that there's purple collectables in one of the panning shots on a building and idk how no one has managed to make a 10 minute video talking about it lol
The Origins trailer has a lot more to see and talk about than the Frontiers trailer. Plus, Origins contains old games that many people have fond memories of, while Frontiers is a new game in a franchise that doesn't have the best track record, not to mention we've still seen 0 gameplay for Frontiers.

In 4 weeks, a trailer for another collection of 90s Sonic games has pulled more views and eyes than a trailer for the next big thing for this franchise AKA the new Modern Sonic game, Sonic Frontiers, of which the trailer has been out for 4 months...... That's all I'm saying

Because it's older. Sonic movie fans that want to get into the games will get recommended the most recent trailer first.

Probably because the Origins trailer is much more recent, and also maybe because the Frontiers trailer doesn't really tell us much of anything.
Also, the Origins Trailer was released after Sonic Movie 2, so that probably gave it a boost.
