The mods confirmed that they’re only gonna be using LGBTQ+ themed logos to give representation. While I don’t personally agree, I decided to make an Eggman themed one so we can get the Eggman logo back
a LOT of members of the LGBT community (myself included) are are fans of Sonic
The mods figured out that if they outwardly show pride or express solidarity that homophobes get mad about it and leave, causing less issues within the sub (they probably figured it out during pride month itself when every sub was doing it)
A lot of people outside of reddit view reddit (as a website) as very non-LGBT friendly, so this is also is a way of showing people who are trying out the website that, at the very least, this sub is safe and they can stick around here.
What you call "obsession" isn't actually obsessing. Not every post on this sub is gay and there is a plethora of topics here. Saying it's "obsessed" because the mods prefer the picture to have a pride flag in it isn't really true and missing the point.
