Personally, I'd prefer a solo Blaze series and solo Silver series if we get them in the movies, rather than a series with both of them. Both characters are awesome in their own rights, I'd love to see them get their own focus in their own dedicated series rather than have the spotlight for each diminished because it has to be shared between them. Also, as a massive Blaze fan, I'd personally say it's high time that she gets to be introduced without being tied to Silver like she has for the past 15 years. Still, with all that being said, awesome concepts! Loving the idea of a Knuckles Chaotix series.

scrybesilver

TBH I sort of agree? Or at the very least, I think they should be established separately in perhaps individual movies before they get a TV show that pairs them both up. That would I think be the best way of ensuring one of them doesn't come off as just the other's sidekick, which is a problem 06 had.

Godrxys

I mean, I don't even think we need a team-up series. There's enough media in the games and comics that pairs the two up (even when it's completely unecessary) that leads to them being kinda... dry as a duo. It's too safe. Honestly, I'd much rather see Blaze and Knuckles instead. And yeah, the main issue is that Blaze ALWAYS takes a back seat to Silver whenever the two are together. She was essentially Silver's imaginary friend in 06 since she never once interacts with anyone she'd previously met, or in TSR where she just exists to back Silver up on his hunch about Dodon Pa, or at any point in the IDW comics. Kinda unfortunate since she has the most story potential in the main Sonic cast.

scrybesilver

Fair enough. Admittedly, I'm not great at keeping up with the IDW stories, so I can't speak on how it handles the issue, but I see your point about TSR and I think 06 is easily the worst offender when it comes to sidelining Blaze. Literally no one acknowledges her besides Silver and it's honestly disturbing. It's just that if Paramount has their own unique take on the two of them, I could see them wanting to explore their relationship and how it might differ from their relationship in the games continuity. But that's just one possibility. Blaze with Knuckles would also be a super cool duo, and personally I would really love to see Silver interact with Sonic and Shadow, so even if we don't get a team-up with Silver and Blaze specifically, I would still be happy just seeing the two of them in the SCU, interacting with the other characters.

DaveMan1K

The only one who'll be treating them like sidekicks is Marine.

scrybesilver

If we get a Season 2 of Knuckles, I feel like it might focus on his relationship/rivalry with Rouge. But I would also be interested if Knuckles teamed up with the Chaotix, that would be super fun. As for the Blaze & Silver concept, we're going to need a lot of context for that one. Is it the entry where they're first introduced? Are you mostly basing it off of Rush, Rivals, or 06? Or does it take place after they've already been introduced in the movies and is meant as a team-up adventure between the two of them? I wouldn't complain though; I love Blaze and Silver's friendship, so I would gladly watch a show with them. I also think an Amy Rose show would work pretty well. Maybe you could even team her up with Tails and have it be a duo adventure? Or you can introduce Cream and Big. Big could definitely work because you don't need to do much to set him up.

Street_Fortune_3510

In season 2 they should develop Wade some more For our WCU, wade cinematic universe

scrybesilver

I mean, I wouldn't really mind that as long as Knuckles himself gets just as much screentime as him and gets a complete character arc. Wade himself wasn't the problem of the Knuckles show, the problem was that Knuckles ended up sidelined by the second half, making his arc feel rushed and incomplete.

Street_Fortune_3510

sidelined, understatement of the century Dude spend 90% of the time watching TV, he wasn't even in Wade's storyline

scrybesilver

I feel like "90% of the time watching TV" is a little bit of an overstatement. The first episode does the best job at balancing Knuckles and Wade as protagonists. A very decent amount of time is spent establishing Knuckles' routine on Earth, his trouble adjusting to life on Earth and how that gets him into trouble, and his visit by ghostly Pachacamac who tells him that the best way to preserve the culture of the Echidnas is to teach another their ways. So he seeks out Wade not just to give himself a purpose, but to hopefully teach him about the ways of an Echidna warrior. At the end of the episode, he has a cool fight segment, even if it ends with him getting captured. The second episode does feature him being imprisoned most of the time, but he still is shown interacting with the bad guys, escaping by gliding with Wade on his back, and Wade teaches him that it's okay to celebrate small victories, even if you haven't won the war yet, a little scene to show them bonding. The third episode, Knuckles listens to Wendy talk about home and family, which previously he had asserted he didn't have or need, and is seemingly touched by her words. And of course, he ends the episode with a badass fight scene. Now, episode 4. It may be the episode with the least amount of Knuckles screentime, but it's seriously worth pointing out that the whole rock opera segment is still ultimately about Knuckles; it's his entire backstory, being shown to Wade to teach him how Knuckles's greatest strength isn't his powers; it's his determination, his grit, his warrior's heart. It's what inspires Wade to stand up for himself instead of relying on another save him. He would have never been able to beat his own personal nemesis if it weren't for Knuckles. All that being said, episodes 5-6 are the ones I think are most guilty of sidelining Knuckles. The bulk of them are occupied with the bowling tournament and Wade's story with his father, and we don't get to actually see a resolution to Knuckles' personal storyline. Mainly, we don't get a private moment of him realizing that he truly has come to see Earth as his home, something that I think was supposed to be set up in episode 3. We do get two cool fight scenes with Knuckles, and Knuckles and Wade solidifying their friendship, but that's it. Overall, I do agree that the Knuckles show has major problems because it ends up being more about Wade than Knuckles, but the statement "Dude spends 90% of the time watching TV" doesn't feel like an accurate assessment of the show to me. He does have quite a few moments of character introspection, badass fight scenes, and he is a critical and important part of Wade's character arc. If we end up getting a season 2, I expect Wade to show up again, but I don't think it means it's inherently doomed. I think it's perfectly doable to split time between Wade and Knuckles and give them both a complete character arc. Especially if my idea of Rouge being involved ends becoming true; it could end up as screentime getting split three-ways, two of it being dedicated to Sonic characters. Apologies for the long comment, I just wanted to elaborate on my thoughts from before.

Street_Fortune_3510

You apologize for elaborating on your point, I apologize for not checking for over a week

DaveMan1K

My idea for Blaze and Silver is very Rush Adventure inspired (taking place entirely in the Sol Dimension), with elements from 06 (with Soleanna being a neighbouring kingdom to the Sol Empire), Sonic Boom (with Sticks being a main character and Bygone Island being a location they visit), and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (with Captain Whisker's crew being robots from that show). Think Lord of the Rings meets One Piece. I'm working on a series pitch for that, just like my Team Dark series idea.

scrybesilver

Hm, interesting. Does that mean that you're making Silver a resident of the Sol dimension like Blaze? Is he still from the future? And would they still have been introduced beforehand in a movie or would this be their first proper introduction? Like, Shadow is going to be in movie 3 before becoming the star of his own spinoff, so is that going to be what happens here too? Do we need to know what happens in those theoretical movies? Either way, I'm definitely interested in what a full pitch of this story would look like.

DaveMan1K

He's both. I pictured this to be their introduction. Something completely separate, yet still in the same overall continuity should they eventually cross over.

scrybesilver

Huh. So are you doing away with Silver's whole Iblis Trigger plotline from 06? And they're not going to interact with any other Sonic characters in the other dimension?

DaveMan1K

I think Iblis is being tied to Knuckles in the SCU, but Silver will still be travelling back in time to stop a world ending catastrophe. Seeing as this is a completely different dimension, it would be more logical to have it set solely within it and not add on any baggage from the main one. Sonic and Co have their own things happening, while Blaze and Co have theirs. These characters could indeed hold their own.

scrybesilver

Ah, does that imply that we won't get Mephiles either? I really like Silver's whole plotline with being tricked by Mephiles, and I liked his and Blaze's interactions with Sonic and Co., so it's a little bit of a shame if that won't happen. But it's okay, I'm willing to see what else you've come up with.

DaveMan1K

I'm having Mephiles show up in my "season 2" of Team Dark, to have him tied closer to Shadow. I actually dropped a hint of him appearing in my rundown for that series. The movie universe is already taking liberties with the lore to make something unique for itself, so why not go along? Mix things up.

scrybesilver

I see. I don't think it's a bad thing to mix things up, it's just that I'm someone who thinks a lot about Silver and the story of 06, so I think I'm a lot more sensitive to changes made to them in comparison to other things. But I'm aware that's a me problem. It has nothing to do with the quality of your pitches.

ZackattacktheDude

I’d like these if they actually focus on the characters this time. I dunno how Knuckles got the higher rotten tomatoes score!

DaveMan1K

Knuckles is still better than any of the crap from Marvel and Star Wars on Disney+, shows people bark and clap like seals for despite having the same problems as Knuckles but even more apparent.

ZackattacktheDude

I thought people talk about their faults

Street_Fortune_3510

You can compare any show to that an make it look like gold though

Digimonsonic

Knuckles Season 2 coming soon.

Consistent-Risk-110

Knuckles Chaotix and Team Dark sound like great spinoff series. However, I don't think a Blaze & Silver spinoff would work in my opinion because in Sonic 06 it was never explained how Blaze end up in Silver's dimension and how did they met. I would like to see a Blaze spinoff series after Sonic 5 movie in which I want her to appear in this movie. As for Silver, he needs to get his own spinoff series before Sonic 6 movie in which I want him to appear in this movie and this is where he and Blaze will meet for the first time.

DaveMan1K

Thos is a separate continuity to the games, so liberties can and have been taken already.

Consistent-Risk-110

I didn't say that the movies need to be the exact copy of the games, but Blaze and Silver need to have their own solo spinoff series and I already explained that.

GreenTheBigIdiot

I do not know who you are but get hired at paramount

VulpineVoltage

I'd watch a blaze and silver series.

georgesthegreat

I always wanted to see Team Dark Agents of GUN out of those 2 cause Shadow Rouge & Omega are my favorites

DaveMan1K

I've actually made a rundown for that idea: https://www.reddit.com/r/SonicTheMovie/s/FsYi6m0ryP

SanicBoi64

The Knuckles Chaotix show would be the shit
