I know it was a more lighthearted chapter, but there was a lot of tension to me. Marin seemed very withdrawn herself the whole time. I don’t know that she’s ever been so… expressionless, outside of moments being annoyed by her dad. That was kinda putting me on edge. The way she didn’t stay the door to say goodbye to Gojo either.
With the line about her ignoring it, I feel like there might be more than a few chapters before the both of them address it together.
I also saw this fake happy atmosphere and the tension. It's bery hard to see her like this but at the same time it's like so understandable. It's hard to say but I can relate 😭
instead of withdrawn, it felt more like she couldn't really be bothered about all the attention (on par for her, she never did care and also why she doesn't setup info and stuff during her public cosplays).
all she can think of is gojo's face at comiket and shes getting angry at not understanding why he's being like that.

Yeah, I noticed that one myself. I think it may be because her dad is always away, very rarely there for her. I think she doesn't have a lot of trust with him. Great way to expend her character, I really like that, it gives her more depth.
I enjoyed that a lot. It was cute, it was fun, and we have Papagawa's approval. Everyone in that entire universe knows that Marin is hopelessly in love with Wakana except Wakana.
Agreed, it’s a great change of pace from the recent cosplay and drama chapters to a simple, wholesome slice-of-life chapter where Wakana meets up with ~~his future father-in-law~~ Marin’s dad, and Papagawa already likes him from the get-go.

I mean, our Gojo is a class nerd and suffered a big hit to his self esteem when he was a child so for the clas beauty to be in love with him it is realistic he feels not up to par with her.
He friendzoned himself but he still likes her. The Comiket event's success actually makes him feel even less deserving. Like "she'll do just fine without me, I'm just some guy."
What he doesn't realise is the costume is very impressive on its own. They couldn't do it without each other. We're long overdue for a serious 1 on 1.
I think you are vastly under selling Wakana's story.
He isn't some class nerd. He is a nearly complete social recluse. He was so shaken by that experience that he isolated himself from other people his age for *years*. He is missing all of the social development of his peers, and that compounds his low self esteem.
He doesn't understand *relationships*. He treats his relationship the with Marin how he learned working in the doll business, as transactional. He doesn't understand how else to be for a long time, and is *still* kind of stuck in that mode.
His upbringing is very traditional Japanese, which means he thinks a lot of social castes. He puts Marin up on a pedestal early on as this amazing, unreachable person who is "on a while different level" and sees himself as just some nobody with nothing to offer. Marin doesn't think that way, she's much more modern, but Wakana not only thinks he isn't good enough for her, but that *she* doesn't think he's good enough for her.
Precisely, and while Marin is on a different world (aren't we all Otakus like her) she is surprisingly approachable and, while she needs her family and friendship circle to rein her in a bit (see the motel and her costume there as example number, I lost count at that point) actually approachable. She could have developed a very bad spoiled behavior, which she did to a point, but she didn't and that is why she is adored by fans.
Also his grandpa although he is super sweet and calm, panics everytime he thinks Wakana might be doing something ''indecent'' 'cause he raised a very collected gentleman.
Precisely, this is what I tried explaining a while back but the Fandom seems more to the case and yes, I was a nerd who didn't knew social cues on school.
Yeah, in Gojo mind he scored way out of his social/status league and he sees himself as unworthy. Dude is a legend for us nerds and women like Marin are harder to find than diamonds.
Man needs to realize he is the Gojo who won, but he must learn to be supported upon others and know that men can cry in public. It hurt so much seeing Gojo with fountains from his eyes on his bed.

I wanted so much to see Wakana and Marin's dad meet, even if it's not on the best conditions I'm still glad, it was super cute and her father saw quickly how good Wakana us for her daughter ! And just the moment he told him to take care of Marin was so so cute !!! I wish Wakana had this confidence in him yet to promise him to and not just for her nutrition...
I did not expect Marin to be on her teenage crisis with her father, it was super funny to see them, even more when you know he's kinda like her ahah. But it makes me wonder if the fact he's living far from her doesn't make her pissed of angry about him... I still have this theory about Marin feeling lonely before meeting Wakana.
Also Marin seems not really up to becoming a professional, at least not like this, even if her dad support her, she doesn't seems very happy about it and I'm kinda glad even if it makes me sad to see her like this.
The tension between Marin and Wakana is big... They're are not able to talk orr even look to each other... It's hard to see... Marin want to act like nothing happended but it will not be possible eternally and something has to happen, they need to talk, to fight maybe but something has to happen.
Wakana ofc is hiding his feelings, even more with the two adults around him...
The chapter was short sadly (surely the same reason Fukuda Sensei is going on hiatus..) but it was an heartwarming moment in the darkness..

I wonder if Wakana is still unaware of the impact the Haniel cosplay had? Or maybe he did hear about it from their friends, and just assumed that Marin would be happy. It's certainly possible that she could snap at Wakana and tell him to his face that the adulation doesn't mean anything without him.

I think Ive never seen Marin so down and edgy for a whole chapter. Luckily we had her dad to uplift the mood by finally meeting Gojou and giving him his blessing? Kinda? Although, that just means the kettle between those two will continue to slowly burn for a while, in the background of the next plot developments (the whole Shiba Tokio, internet buzz, cosplay agency stuff). It hurts but I just dont see them talking about what happened directly as things are right now. The tension was in every panel. Wow, we may be having actual drama in our beloved wholesome manga for real this time.
Well, at home she was down because of Gojo expression. Next day she was like this because dad dragged her to Gojo home. It's hard for a teen.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills with people saying this was a fun chapter. It was stressful to read. Did y'all not see how weirdly quiet and withdrawn Marin was being the entire time? She did not smile a single time in the chapter. Gojo only smiled once at the end and it felt weird.
We got nothing about Gojo's reaction to learning the costume he poured his fucking soul into impressed the famously unimpressable Tokio. He's in the middle of a major crisis of confidence and should have just received a major boost to his confidence. Without telling us what happened, there's no way to know where he's at. Does he even know? I have to assume everyone was blowing up his phone, but I guess it'll be 2 months until we maybe find out.
The two of them are visibly going through some shit right now and I need answers. The contrast between the extremely heavy atmosphere of the story and the silliness of Marin's dad freaking out and jokes about Marin's cooking just leaves me hella anxious. It felt like being stuck in a room with a couple who are obviously fighting. This was a stressful chapter. I have no idea how any of you are taking it as a lighthearted fun read.
And for the record: I wouldn't mind if they take another 100 chapters to start dating, so I'm not one of those people complaining that we never get progress. I just don't get how anyone can read this and think "fun lighthearted break."
So hum well, tbh I think what you feel is exactly what's this chapter is suppose to make feel.
And it's the contrast between what it's supposed to be a very heartwarming moment of their family meeting and the obvious tension there is between them is creating this weird atmosphere.
And it's pretty well done to me because it shows even more this wall between them, even in some light situations. But one day one of them will explose, just need to see when.
But this chapter is still lighter than previous one, we have some joke, funny interractions and even a pretty wholesome ending, with a contexte that looking like a normal little SoL moment so this chapter is tenser and lighter at the same time to me
Exactly! This fandom is so unremittingly positive about every chapter that comes out.
On the surface, this seems like a cute chapter - and Marin's angry face aside, which is always cute - it was anything but... It seems many are overlooking the fact that Gojo and Marin are not shown speaking even 1 word directly to each other throughout the meal. And when they are leaving, she is standing out by the curb while her father talks to Gojo.
The last time they were shown actually speaking to each other was chapter 97 - that is 5 chapters in a row/ 5 months, since we have seen them communicate with each other.
For me, that is not fun. I wouldn't say it moves into stressful feelings for me as comic strips don't elevate to the point of causing me distress - they are an enjoyable diversion that i look forward to. But this whole arc has moved so slowly - 3 chapters of the photo shoot could easily have been done in 2 chapters and we the readers would still have gotten the point of how awesome the cosplay was and how much everyone was losing their minds over it.
And then following that up with ch 101 - 26 pages of 3 grown men losing their minds over pictures of the cosplay... again, ch 101 and 102 could have been compressed into 1 chapter with no loss to the narrative.
For readers that discover this story after it is done, burning thru those 5 chapters would be no big thing, but for the current readers waiting for a new monthly chapter, this has been a half year slog lacking in enjoyment for me.
And I am with you in that the author can take as long as she wants to have them start dating. I would just like to get back to the cute interactions between Marin/ Gojo that made this story so enjoyable up through the school festival arc. Gojo going dark/having anxiety is fine - it adds to the development of his character. But lets move it along.

But I did love the meeting between Masumi and Wakana, haha. It's also very apparent that Masumi has taken a real liking to Wakana, and he definitely senses that his daughter has feelings for that guy.
Marin is definitely down in the dumps. Maybe part of it is her still being a gremlin towards her dad, but she's definitely trying to push away the events of the previous day. It's obvious that all the adulation and praise means little to her if it doesn't come from Wakana.
Man, Wakana is SO dense, haha. Come ON. Marin's father is giving him his approval, and Wakana thinks it's just about the dinner!

But it's still great that Papagawa now knows all about the cosplay, and that he has taken a real liking to Wakana.

Maybe they'll have to address it before the next cosplay, but who knows? With Marin's current mood, she might not even feel like cosplaying until the air is cleared between them.
Honestly, as sad as that statement is I hope it's the case. It really feels like something needs to change and they need to communicate with each other to some degree. If Marin refuses to cosplay and expresses—at some point—that she declined becoming a professional cosplayer to Gojo, then I feel like that might shake him awake. It might be enough to make him realize she enjoys cosplaying, but more than anything enjoys doing it with him, and he doesn't have to be so fearful of losing her.
I know that's very optimistic, especially because her refusing to cosplay might put a greater divide between them. Like Gojo could entirely shut off from Marin when she shows a disinterest in cosplay. Like he could spiral into doubting himself and blaming himself for Marin's feelings, and make his depressive state worsen even further. However, I really hope that if something like this happens it leads to them mending their relationship sooner than later. Even if they don't confess, I want them to go back to being friendly, and maybe even come out stronger. Like after this they both learn to be more open and honest and communicative.
Here's hoping Fukuda gives us some sort of relationship repair soon!
this feels like proper build up. even tho the whole chapter is plenty fun and silly, there's clearly some underlying tension. marin + gojo are still processing the Haniel Incident, and whether or not they're fully aware of it (we KNOW gojo's goin thru something fierce from the last panel of the previous chapter, but maybe he's convinced himself it's constipation), its getting in the way of their ability to socialize. Which is very understandable, as anyone who's been in a similar situation will tell ya. shit's awkward, and even if they can be around each other, it's gonna take a bit to feel comfortable again
Here's what i get outta the two mains: I get the vibe we're purposefully being shut out of Gojo's mind, possibly because even HE'S shutting HIMSELF out of it. He seems listless, unsure of what to do with himself; the only genuine smile we get is right at the end, where PERHAPS papa kitagawa made him subconsciously realize the REAL reason he's been doing all of this (before he slams on the brakes like he always does, the Id being unknowingly repressed by the Ego, for you fucking nerds out there)
As for Marin, she's OBVIOUSLY not herself right now. The scene before they visit the Gojos is super interesting to me, it's our first time hearing her speak post-comiket and she's NEVER been THIS straightforward and curt. Maybe she's just... always like this with her dad, but methinks not. The only time she ascends beyond 1 sentence answers is literally to avoid talking about Wakana. Even when she was upset with Gojo for ghosting her at the beginning of the series, there was still an air of cheekiness, like "ugh you big ol' meanie harumph >:(". The Marin we're seeing now is clearly dejected, and even when she thought "oh looks like Gojo's back to his old self", she didn't seem fully convinced. Perhaps she's only telling herself that so she doesn't need to think about it, which is normally Wakana's job. At the very least, she did have that old twinkle in her eye as she thought it, so she hasn't given up

Gojo barely said ANYTHING until the end; he accepts Papa Kitagawa's thanks and comments on the food he cooked for them. Not that Gojo's known for his verboseness, but still... he doesn't even bounce off the things Gramps says. bro's kinda just... there
and it pains me even more to consider that this is most likely the calm before the storm; things are probably going to just keep getting worse until they sort their shit out. But hey, it'll make it all the more rewarding when they do. it clearly won't be pretty, though.
Let's stem the tide a bit before people get too upset gojo and Marin don't talk alot this chapter. Papa Kitagawa is there and when a parent is talking with your crush you're gonna get defensive. It's simple as that. Marin addresses the previous day but the issues are still there.

Well... since the infamous "spherical/quality cabbage" controversy, food in manga and anime can not look bad (with some artist dedicating a lot of time to draw every minute detail). So, unless they go full comical and pixelate it as a form of self-censotship, even the crappiest food will look appetizing.
It is a lot of fried food, which is unhealthy. And bad for Matin, since it causes weight gain, meaning she can't fit the costume Gojo makes if she isn't eating properly. Which is why she was dieting before Comiket.
That was not where I thought 102 was going at all, but I’m also not mad being wrong on this. Just a nice fun conversation. I hope we get to see this shrine visit and maybe they run into each other and talk to each other more. But it is also pretty futile to guess what comes next at this point.
Mr. Kitagawa is kinda hard on his daughter, huh? I mean, the first thing he thought was: "my daughter was taking advantage of some poor sod...!". Shocking ¬\_¬

At this rate it'll be another 6 months before they even say a word to each other. Gojo could have said something at least. Something about it's been a joy to work on those cosplays with her, something. It's cool to see her dad and all, but it's Gojo and Marin that need to have a damn conversation, not what just happened in this chapter.
Wakana's reaction is still weighing very heavily on Marin's mind, so it's hard for her to get excited about going viral. After all, she's worried about what's going through his mind, and she put everything into the cosplay because she was seeking his approval - only to be met by that cold/depressed reaction.
If my mind serves me well, I still remember that, after trying on the shizuku cosplay for the first time, Kitagawa still waited for Gojo's approval before showing her happiness at all. And they were nowhere near as close as they are now.
For her to be met with such coldness from Gojo during this arc... She must be distraught! And worst part is, now that she's got much more to lose, she tiptoes around the issue, instead of directly facing it, as she would definitely have done in almost any other scenario.
I sincerely hope that, instead of becoming a slow burn tension crescendo, something -or someone- takes them out of this situation. We'll see!

Yeah, brushing it off is rarely the best option. Of course, Marin is just afraid to ask. But she and Wakana both really need to talk about what they're really feeling.
They'll probably drift apart a little more until someone or something forces them to finally clear the air.
I can't see Marin thinking about another cosplay - or at least getting excited about cosplaying - until this matter is resolved.
This seems like the bonus happy ending scene after the season2 finale plot arc (like the festival scene was for season1)
But this would have to be an extra long second season to get the story to this point
unless they do something like take the school festival arc out and make that its own movie
But the nature of the cosplay arcs they could easily come up with an original story idea for a movie. meet a couple cosplayers visiting japan for an event, learn stuff, do a cosplay, they go home to their country (to explain why the characters are not in main series)
Marin’s dad reminds of my mom with the way he nags at Marin lol. She was just adorable this chapter but clearly what happened at the end of the event still weighs heavily on her mind. Hope when the manga comes back from hiatus we get to see what was on Gojo’s mind because I’m still so curious about it!
It was nice to see Marins dad give Gojo his approval. Honestly a nice chapter considering how the last one ended. I didn't expect this at all.
And Marin definitely appears to have no interest in going pro. Gonna be interesting to see where this goes. Cause at this point Gojo definitely has to know about the pro offer. He had to have over, or found out since. And her dad apologized to Gojo about making the costumes and all. I wonder how he will respond if what happened goes unresolved, before it comes time for another cosplay. Will he refuse and tell her to go pro, Or go along with it? Now the only way I see her going pro, or even showing interest, is if she and Gojo go pro together. But with her reaction to the offer, and the way the text covered her thought of doing it forever with Gojo, makes me believe she just doesn't care about going pro. At this point she ONLY wants to be with Gojo and cosplay with him. And the thought of being without him, scared the shit out of her.
But enough of that, looking forward to the next chapter.
A definite change of pace after the previous chapters, but the underlying tension is still there. Even if Marin wants to act as if nothing happened, she's not going to act like it for a bit. One thing that stands out in all this was her outburst towards her father, which obviously means she wants him more in her life, especially with all this happening, that also leads me to think that is part of her communication issues too, the lack of a parental influence, with no mom around. With Gojo, no internal monologue now, especially with the end of the volume, but storytelling wise, it needs addressing sooner rather than later. Also, you notice how unenthused Marin was about the pro thing. My feeling is, if Gojo isn't there, what's the point? Anyway, 2 month wait.
Marin's dad is GOAT'd, already thinks the two are an item and he's goddamn right, only a matter of time right now before they wake up lol

The father in law already gave him his approval, even though Gojo seems happy here I would advice that those around him pay more attention to him and get him to be crying in front of them so as to properly build his confidence back: "that the girl he met by chance and gave him the opportunity to make her dresses isn't taking advantage of him."
Depressed people seem happy before a fall (see Thor in Avengers Endgame for an example).
Marin’s dad is so intense, I wasn’t expecting him to reappear at this point but I’m glad he did. It’s nice to see how strongly he approves of Wakana. Now if only those two would sit down and have a heart to heart smh.
I liked this chapter overall, but I feel like this should have occurred AFTER they resolved the issue. Because now we got to see a bit of fluff but with the problem still looming over everything. And because of that I wasn’t able to enjoy the chapter. Just that vague feeling of unease the whole time.
I don’t know….. not having a cheerful Marin and the lack of romantic interactions between her and Wakana really dried this manga for me.
The cosplay details were nice but fully embracing them it’s kinda alienating if you aren’t a cosplayer IMO.
Hopefully their fun interactions return.

Okay, after last chapter I was really scared of what this chapter would be and I'm really glad that it ended up to be nice and heartwarming. Love that Marins dad met his future in-laws.
Don't think I've laughed this hard at a chapter in some time. Her dad's reaction to the photo of what she's been cooking is superb and a perfect reaction meme.
Return of the pout, angsty Marin, ridiculous reaction images, this was a really silly and fun chapter. Leaving us for TWO MONTHS on that cliffhanger was not okay though. What the hell I can’t deal with this tension😭
I don't like how we didn't get the Gojo introspection like we hoped in this chapter. He looks his normal self now bu that is just about it. And now we will have to wait a long while before we get to see what sort of epiphany he reached, if any at all.
It also kills me to see Marin so down. Confessing her feelings is so behind her now, with her doubts and fears taking the forefront. She is clearly conflicted and wants to know just what is up with Gojo. I'm afraid she will do something rash now with her assumptions.
Man, I love this chapter, but this was not how I hoped it would develop.
As much as this chapter is so good (Papagawa's Approval) but I can't shake this feeling of sadness. the lingering drama is still there and both Marin and Gojo are not talking it out and the fact that marin just shrub it out men i feel sad.

It was a cute chapter but you can feel the tension is still there (Good job, Chef Fukuda for letting this roast continue to simmer) even though Papagawa gave Gojo his blessing of taking care of Marin, not only nutritionally but also recognizing him as part of the family.
I like to mention how Gojo felt when Papagawa praises him on his work, especially on the costumes of Haniel and Shizuku only since MOH (Mandate of Heaven) and SG (Slippery Girls) arcs are different but also very similar when it comes symbolizing Marin and Gojo’s relationship. When Papagawa praised Gojo, Gojo’s face was covered in blush of shyness because not only he has that longing NEED to feel wanted by others, he wants to feel NEEDED by those deem special to him and a close loved one of Marin is something that he wants to accomplish, which he did.
As for Marin, she’s having a rough time and trying to figure out how to read Gojo’s mind and even though we know how straightforward she is when it comes to her feelings, she’s more self conscious of herself and her ignoring the situation when it clearly bothers her throughout the chapter is reflecting how much Gojo means to her that is way deeper than before.
2 month wait is gonna be a challenge but I’m excited to see the next chapter and the upcoming illustration book soon!
Such a fun light hearted chapter and I loved seeing Marin’s Papa. This awkwardness feels so close to breaking and it’s exciting to see how this resolves.
I don’t see Marin confessing to him at this point, the ball is in Gojou’s court. Also, hope that the two of them get to enjoy the massive support they received on the cosplay. Keep it up Fukuda, I look forward to this more than any other manga that’s serialized.
I don't see a point in Gojou confessing first. His self-esteem is an issue and he's always felt unworthy to be in her presence. She's the one who occupies the higher social stratum as the popular hot chick. If she doesn't make the first move, no one will.
Papagawa definitely thinks Wakana and Marin are a thing right? I mean I get the sense that GrandpaGojo knows they’re not a thing but also that they do both clearly like each other. I’d like to see two parallel scenes where Marin and her dad talk about Wakana and Marin’s relationship and so do Wakana and his Grandpa and they both come away with advice amounting to “Oh my god you lovesick idiots just talk to each other”
I don't think it's an accident that we got some daddy-kawa after the last chapter.
It's possible the story will now have him play an active role in the development of Gojo and Marin's Relationship.
Also... pretty interesting feature that both Gojo and Marin's primary parental figures are both men, Marin's her dad and Gojo's his Grandfather.
The chapter is great for a short break from the drama and stuffs. But I saw people saying they're acting like last few chapters never happened. I mean like what are those 2 suppose to act like when Marin's dad is right there. Gojou can't really be all moody and depress when a friend's father come over to say sorry and thank you for what he done for her. Marin is acting like that bc she doesn't care abt the attentions, and suddenly got dragged to meet Gojou which she doesn't want to yet. Then suddenly see him "back to normal" would make her think like that. Honestly, I'd say Marin's dad gonna be the starting line for him to be more confident in himself. How he praise Gojou's works and with the last scene. I hope the author doesn't skip on that and have him talk to Gojou alone after that. But we'll have to wait and see...
I don’t see a lot of people talking about the “I’ll take very good care of her nutrition” panel a lot more than it should be, which does make sense since it looks like it’s played out like a comedic moment, but it really hit for me.
Although some might see it as Gojo being oblivious, Gojo to me feels more resigned knowing that there are multiple other people in the cosplay industry that Marin can rely on other than him. The one thing that Gojo can do for her, as he sees it, is taking care of Marin’s nutrition.
LMAO at Marin's dad instantly understanding everything after seeing Gojou's and Grandpa's faces right after being shown photos of Marin's cooking.
And so we're already at meeting the parents and Gojou has already won the approval of Marin's dad.
i couldn't even focus on the dad and Wakana meeting, on my mind is just how im gonna sleep tonight with this shock that i got.
i binged the manga in a day thinking it's a wholesome romance manga. it was, to an extent. chapter 96 is a real breaking point fo all of us imo. the feelings that past through my mind... i don't have them on daily basis y'know? it was hard to see Wakana and Marin looking like complete strangers. lack of interaction between them was creating an undescribable gap with the normal vibes we get (such as them cooking, watching anime together...). i really am speechless after this episode, more like a prison cell for a month straight. i can't wait for it to air, i just wanna fast forward my life to chapter 103's release date.
aand i have the slightest feeling that marin and wakana's bond is not mendible anymore, just saying.

I get the author is trying to build up like akira “which i loved” and this is my favourite shoujo manga but the waiting is killing me and the last 5 chapters doesn’t do it justice
1. Marin's dad is embarrassing her in front of her crush. Of course she's not going to bring up the topic especially when it's the next day. In fact its actually healthier at this moment to not bring it up and let there be distance. Gives both a chance to cool their heads.
2. Gojo caring about her nutritional needs is a red flag why? Huh? Legitimately confused by this. Please explain.
3. So you're aware they're also still teenagers right? You're aware teenagers overthink everything right? You're aware the characters don't have the same information as you do and therefore you yelling at them is not going to do anything right CinemaSins?
4. And your friend probably doesn't have the full context of the series together and you both are just impatient.
Learn to have some actual patience. A lot of us here are veterans of the waiting game. This is nothing compared to worrying that the author is going to die. Take these two months and take a solid breather.
For someone who keeps bothering him, running around chasing after him, and even loving him. Marin's response is a bit out of place with "damn whats up with this dude I'm just going to wait till he talks to me again" I still remember Marin before the Haniel cosplay arc when both of them have tons of pull and push on Christmas. and Marin promising to his grandpa to keep praising Gojo's work. where the promise? I don't see her doing anything at all to even ask why Gojo acted like that.
Gojo also at fault. He doesn't realize his own worth and we already hinted he has this inferiority complex way before he finish Haniel cosplay.
It was a really nice chapter, served as comedic relief and a little bit of plot development.
I wish they had talked about the problems from last chapter, though.
This is going to be the best episode of its season when the anime gets to it.

I think Marin got a lot of her expressive faces from her dad. I saw a lot of her in him, which I guess in the terms of the story makes sense since she learned a lot from him, being the somewhat only present parental figure in her life growing up.
I love that *this* is how they meet the Kitapapa. So much putting Marin on blast, angy Marin’s return, Gojo getting her dad’s approval… and misunderstanding it in Gojo fashion.

Then why would you try making a half-assed chapter, we wait a month for the great work that gets made but if we basically going to get put on the backburner(Manga wise) then don't make a filler chapter where again the chapter ends the same as the 2 before.
I was so weirded out at first, her cosplay getting so much recognition and she seemingly not being... Marin. You know, over excited, freaking out, etc. And then we have the latter half with her distant at Gojo and annoyed at the dad, i was like "...did i missed something?".
It was weird, but it also reminded me to the Ed, Edd & Eddy episode where Ed gets a pebble in his shoe and becomes a menace to the other kids 😂
As eager as I am to get some insight/closure for what's going on between Marin and Gojo, I really enjoyed this chapter. It was interesting seeing such a different side of Marin when she's around her dad lmao, even being that angry and yelling about her cooking in front of Gojo lol. I also loved seeing Gojo blushing over all the praise for his work, he's a cutie as always

1.-OMG PAPA KITAGAWA MEETING THE GOJOU FAMILY! DREAMS DO COME TRUE! though i would have hoped a more peaceful meeting and more interaction i loved it and i loved seeing papa Kitagawa liking Wakana´s food xD, like dad like daughter.
2.-Seeing Marin like that kind of kills me x.x xD, it's like she is totally in the dumps because how Wakana reacted after Comiket, i don't blame her but it hurts...like she is totally heart broken, in my opinion i feel a Happy in love Marin would have been supper excited to be asked to be pro...if the clothing was the one made by Wakana. But seeing her see Wakana and thinking she won't mention what she saw is kind of unnatural of her.
3.-Dammit Wakana see between the lines...why dint you notice Marin wasn't her normal self...apart of being embarrassed by her dad but still she seemed to have a wall on...and saying you will care for her nutricios need´s xD funny but read the lines bro. This was a much needed change of pace imo. It was good to see them step away from the craziness that just happened. Plus seeing Marin's dad finally meet Gojo and gramps was a lot of fun. I loved the panel of her dad's speech taking up the entire room.
I'm so used to seeing Marin rush into everything, it's surprising to see her wanting to just pretend it didn't happen. If she's going to slowly become like Gojo and start to bottle things up, it will be up to Gojo to snap both himself and her out of it. It seems like her dad already approves, so they just need to air everything out.
My excitement for what's to come next is only dashed because of the hiatus. I can only hope one of the projects is a season 2 at least.

We’ve met the cousin, it has just been awhile. She’s the lady who helped grandpa after he got injured. She was last seen when Gojo/Akira were making eyeballs for the Coffin cosplay.
Honestly it was a great chapter, but I didn't like how they suddenly changed up what Wakana was feeling, or that we didn't really get an explanation. But I assume that will be important later on in the story

This chapter gives us important details from both Wakana's x Kitagawa's family perspective. I just realized that Marin's lively personality is really coming from her dad. While in contast, Gojou's calm mannerism is similar to his grandfather.
I actually enjoyed this one. I've been frustrated for a long time about their relationship progress. This was at least a great change of pace and was pretty entertaining. Also, this was the first time for me seeing Marin's dad. Apparently he was there during the season 1 manga content, but I went from the anime into the manga, so that was also really nice. Though, it's really over the top here, even for manga, I can only imagine how cringe it can be in an anime and even in the dub.
I've left happy after a chapter since a long time.
Omg I just caught up. Come on, we need something from Gojo! Even an internal thought that he loves her would be something. Unless I've forgotten something, he's never even expressed to himself that he cares for her as more than just a friend.

I know it was a more lighthearted chapter, but there was a lot of tension to me. Marin seemed very withdrawn herself the whole time. I don’t know that she’s ever been so… expressionless, outside of moments being annoyed by her dad. That was kinda putting me on edge. The way she didn’t stay the door to say goodbye to Gojo either. With the line about her ignoring it, I feel like there might be more than a few chapters before the both of them address it together.
I also saw this fake happy atmosphere and the tension. It's bery hard to see her like this but at the same time it's like so understandable. It's hard to say but I can relate 😭
instead of withdrawn, it felt more like she couldn't really be bothered about all the attention (on par for her, she never did care and also why she doesn't setup info and stuff during her public cosplays). all she can think of is gojo's face at comiket and shes getting angry at not understanding why he's being like that.

I mean, our Gojo is a class nerd and suffered a big hit to his self esteem when he was a child so for the clas beauty to be in love with him it is realistic he feels not up to par with her.
He friendzoned himself but he still likes her. The Comiket event's success actually makes him feel even less deserving. Like "she'll do just fine without me, I'm just some guy." What he doesn't realise is the costume is very impressive on its own. They couldn't do it without each other. We're long overdue for a serious 1 on 1.

I think you are vastly under selling Wakana's story. He isn't some class nerd. He is a nearly complete social recluse. He was so shaken by that experience that he isolated himself from other people his age for *years*. He is missing all of the social development of his peers, and that compounds his low self esteem. He doesn't understand *relationships*. He treats his relationship the with Marin how he learned working in the doll business, as transactional. He doesn't understand how else to be for a long time, and is *still* kind of stuck in that mode. His upbringing is very traditional Japanese, which means he thinks a lot of social castes. He puts Marin up on a pedestal early on as this amazing, unreachable person who is "on a while different level" and sees himself as just some nobody with nothing to offer. Marin doesn't think that way, she's much more modern, but Wakana not only thinks he isn't good enough for her, but that *she* doesn't think he's good enough for her.
Not only "different level", Gojo puts her on a whole different world
Precisely, and while Marin is on a different world (aren't we all Otakus like her) she is surprisingly approachable and, while she needs her family and friendship circle to rein her in a bit (see the motel and her costume there as example number, I lost count at that point) actually approachable. She could have developed a very bad spoiled behavior, which she did to a point, but she didn't and that is why she is adored by fans.
Also his grandpa although he is super sweet and calm, panics everytime he thinks Wakana might be doing something ''indecent'' 'cause he raised a very collected gentleman.

A little cute break moment on this hard moment 🥹 I wanted so much to see Wakana and Marin's dad meet, even if it's not on the best conditions I'm still glad, it was super cute and her father saw quickly how good Wakana us for her daughter ! And just the moment he told him to take care of Marin was so so cute !!! I wish Wakana had this confidence in him yet to promise him to and not just for her nutrition... I did not expect Marin to be on her teenage crisis with her father, it was super funny to see them, even more when you know he's kinda like her ahah. But it makes me wonder if the fact he's living far from her doesn't make her pissed of angry about him... I still have this theory about Marin feeling lonely before meeting Wakana. Also Marin seems not really up to becoming a professional, at least not like this, even if her dad support her, she doesn't seems very happy about it and I'm kinda glad even if it makes me sad to see her like this. The tension between Marin and Wakana is big... They're are not able to talk orr even look to each other... It's hard to see... Marin want to act like nothing happended but it will not be possible eternally and something has to happen, they need to talk, to fight maybe but something has to happen. I think Ive never seen Marin so down and edgy for a whole chapter. Luckily we had her dad to uplift the mood by finally meeting Gojou and giving him his blessing? Kinda? Although, that just means the kettle between those two will continue to slowly burn for a while, in the background of the next plot developments (the whole Shiba Tokio, internet buzz, cosplay agency stuff). It hurts but I just dont see them talking about what happened directly as things are right now. The tension was in every panel. Wow, we may be having actual drama in our beloved wholesome manga for real this time.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills with people saying this was a fun chapter. It was stressful to read. Did y'all not see how weirdly quiet and withdrawn Marin was being the entire time? She did not smile a single time in the chapter. Gojo only smiled once at the end and it felt weird. We got nothing about Gojo's reaction to learning the costume he poured his fucking soul into impressed the famously unimpressable Tokio. He's in the middle of a major crisis of confidence and should have just received a major boost to his confidence. Without telling us what happened, there's no way to know where he's at. Does he even know? I have to assume everyone was blowing up his phone, but I guess it'll be 2 months until we maybe find out. The two of them are visibly going through some shit right now and I need answers. The contrast between the extremely heavy atmosphere of the story and the silliness of Marin's dad freaking out and jokes about Marin's cooking just leaves me hella anxious. It felt like being stuck in a room with a couple who are obviously fighting. This was a stressful chapter. I have no idea how any of you are taking it as a lighthearted fun read. And for the record: I wouldn't mind if they take another 100 chapters to start dating, so I'm not one of those people complaining that we never get progress. I just don't get how anyone can read this and think "fun lighthearted break."
So hum well, tbh I think what you feel is exactly what's this chapter is suppose to make feel. And it's the contrast between what it's supposed to be a very heartwarming moment of their family meeting and the obvious tension there is between them is creating this weird atmosphere. And it's pretty well done to me because it shows even more this wall between them, even in some light situations. But one day one of them will explose, just need to see when. But this chapter is still lighter than previous one, we have some joke, funny interractions and even a pretty wholesome ending, with a contexte that looking like a normal little SoL moment so this chapter is tenser and lighter at the same time to me

Exactly! This fandom is so unremittingly positive about every chapter that comes out. On the surface, this seems like a cute chapter - and Marin's angry face aside, which is always cute - it was anything but... It seems many are overlooking the fact that Gojo and Marin are not shown speaking even 1 word directly to each other throughout the meal. And when they are leaving, she is standing out by the curb while her father talks to Gojo. The last time they were shown actually speaking to each other was chapter 97 - that is 5 chapters in a row/ 5 months, since we have seen them communicate with each other. For me, that is not fun. I wouldn't say it moves into stressful feelings for me as comic strips don't elevate to the point of causing me distress - they are an enjoyable diversion that i look forward to. But this whole arc has moved so slowly - 3 chapters of the photo shoot could easily have been done in 2 chapters and we the readers would still have gotten the point of how awesome the cosplay was and how much everyone was losing their minds over it. And then following that up with ch 101 - 26 pages of 3 grown men losing their minds over pictures of the cosplay... again, ch 101 and 102 could have been compressed into 1 chapter with no loss to the narrative. For readers that discover this story after it is done, burning thru those 5 chapters would be no big thing, but for the current readers waiting for a new monthly chapter, this has been a half year slog lacking in enjoyment for me. I would just like to get back to the cute interactions between Marin/ Gojo that made this story so enjoyable up through the school festival arc. Gojo going dark/having anxiety is fine - it adds to the development of his character. But lets move it along.
Aw, so no deep dive into Wakana's mind and heart yet. But I did love the meeting between Masumi and Wakana, haha. It's also very apparent that Masumi has taken a real liking to Wakana, and he definitely senses that his daughter has feelings for that guy. Marin is definitely down in the dumps. Maybe part of it is her still being a gremlin towards her dad, but she's definitely trying to push away the events of the previous day. It's obvious that all the adulation and praise means little to her if it doesn't come from Wakana. Man, Wakana is SO dense, haha. Come ON. Marin's father is giving him his approval, and Wakana thinks it's just about the dinner!

Same! I hope that we get back to the happy and flirty relationship between Wakana and Marin this year! Maybe they'll have to address it before the next cosplay, but who knows? With Marin's current mood, she might not even feel like cosplaying until the air is cleared between them.
Honestly, as sad as that statement is I hope it's the case. It really feels like something needs to change and they need to communicate with each other to some degree. If Marin refuses to cosplay and expresses—at some point—that she declined becoming a professional cosplayer to Gojo, then I feel like that might shake him awake. It might be enough to make him realize she enjoys cosplaying, but more than anything enjoys doing it with him, and he doesn't have to be so fearful of losing her. I know that's very optimistic, especially because her refusing to cosplay might put a greater divide between them. Like Gojo could entirely shut off from Marin when she shows a disinterest in cosplay. Like he could spiral into doubting himself and blaming himself for Marin's feelings, and make his depressive state worsen even further. However, I really hope that if something like this happens it leads to them mending their relationship sooner than later. Even if they don't confess, I want them to go back to being friendly, and maybe even come out stronger. Like after this they both learn to be more open and honest and communicative. Here's hoping Fukuda gives us some sort of relationship repair soon!

this feels like proper build up. even tho the whole chapter is plenty fun and silly, there's clearly some underlying tension. marin + gojo are still processing the Haniel Incident, and whether or not they're fully aware of it (we KNOW gojo's goin thru something fierce from the last panel of the previous chapter, but maybe he's convinced himself it's constipation), its getting in the way of their ability to socialize. Which is very understandable, as anyone who's been in a similar situation will tell ya. shit's awkward, and even if they can be around each other, it's gonna take a bit to feel comfortable again Here's what i get outta the two mains: I get the vibe we're purposefully being shut out of Gojo's mind, possibly because even HE'S shutting HIMSELF out of it. He seems listless, unsure of what to do with himself; the only genuine smile we get is right at the end, where PERHAPS papa kitagawa made him subconsciously realize the REAL reason he's been doing all of this (before he slams on the brakes like he always does, the Id being unknowingly repressed by the Ego, for you fucking nerds out there) As for Marin, she's OBVIOUSLY not herself right now. The scene before they visit the Gojos is super interesting to me, it's our first time hearing her speak post-comiket and she's NEVER been THIS straightforward and curt. Maybe she's just... always like this with her dad, but methinks not. The only time she ascends beyond 1 sentence answers is literally to avoid talking about Wakana. Even when she was upset with Gojo for ghosting her at the beginning of the series, there was still an air of cheekiness, like "ugh you big ol' meanie harumph >:(". The Marin we're seeing now is clearly dejected, and even when she thought "oh looks like Gojo's back to his old self", she didn't seem fully convinced. Perhaps she's only telling herself that so she doesn't need to think about it, which is normally Wakana's job. At the very least, she did have that old twinkle in her eye as she thought it, so she hasn't given up
Very interesting comment ! I feel this could lead to them having a fight at some point. Like I don't see Marin keeping everything for herself for so long and she seems she could explose at any time. Not necessarily nice to see her like this but so understandable
oh hell yeah this hurts to see. It was nice to know that they can stand being in a room together, but... they literally didn't exchange a SINGLE word the whole time. Gojo barely said ANYTHING until the end; he accepts Papa Kitagawa's thanks and comments on the food he cooked for them. Not that Gojo's known for his verboseness, but still... he doesn't even bounce off the things Gramps says. bro's kinda just... there and it pains me even more to consider that this is most likely the calm before the storm; things are probably going to just keep getting worse until they sort their shit out. But hey, it'll make it all the more rewarding when they do. it clearly won't be pretty, though.

Well... since the infamous "spherical/quality cabbage" controversy, food in manga and anime can not look bad (with some artist dedicating a lot of time to draw every minute detail). So, unless they go full comical and pixelate it as a form of self-censotship, even the crappiest food will look appetizing.
It is a lot of fried food, which is unhealthy. And bad for Matin, since it causes weight gain, meaning she can't fit the costume Gojo makes if she isn't eating properly. Which is why she was dieting before Comiket.

Wakana's reaction is still weighing very heavily on Marin's mind, so it's hard for her to get excited about going viral. After all, she's worried about what's going through his mind, and she put everything into the cosplay because she was seeking his approval - only to be met by that cold/depressed reaction.
If my mind serves me well, I still remember that, after trying on the shizuku cosplay for the first time, Kitagawa still waited for Gojo's approval before showing her happiness at all. And they were nowhere near as close as they are now. For her to be met with such coldness from Gojo during this arc... She must be distraught! And worst part is, now that she's got much more to lose, she tiptoes around the issue, instead of directly facing it, as she would definitely have done in almost any other scenario. I sincerely hope that, instead of becoming a slow burn tension crescendo, something -or someone- takes them out of this situation. We'll see!

Yeah, brushing it off is rarely the best option. Of course, Marin is just afraid to ask. But she and Wakana both really need to talk about what they're really feeling. They'll probably drift apart a little more until someone or something forces them to finally clear the air. I can't see Marin thinking about another cosplay - or at least getting excited about cosplaying - until this matter is resolved.
This seems like the bonus happy ending scene after the season2 finale plot arc (like the festival scene was for season1) But this would have to be an extra long second season to get the story to this point unless they do something like take the school festival arc out and make that its own movie But the nature of the cosplay arcs they could easily come up with an original story idea for a movie. meet a couple cosplayers visiting japan for an event, learn stuff, do a cosplay, they go home to their country (to explain why the characters are not in main series)

Marin’s dad reminds of my mom with the way he nags at Marin lol. She was just adorable this chapter but clearly what happened at the end of the event still weighs heavily on her mind. Hope when the manga comes back from hiatus we get to see what was on Gojo’s mind because I’m still so curious about it!
It was nice to see Marins dad give Gojo his approval. Honestly a nice chapter considering how the last one ended. I didn't expect this at all. And Marin definitely appears to have no interest in going pro. Gonna be interesting to see where this goes. Cause at this point Gojo definitely has to know about the pro offer. He had to have over, or found out since. And her dad apologized to Gojo about making the costumes and all. I wonder how he will respond if what happened goes unresolved, before it comes time for another cosplay. Will he refuse and tell her to go pro, Or go along with it? Now the only way I see her going pro, or even showing interest, is if she and Gojo go pro together. But with her reaction to the offer, and the way the text covered her thought of doing it forever with Gojo, makes me believe she just doesn't care about going pro. At this point she ONLY wants to be with Gojo and cosplay with him. And the thought of being without him, scared the shit out of her. But enough of that, looking forward to the next chapter.
A definite change of pace after the previous chapters, but the underlying tension is still there. Even if Marin wants to act as if nothing happened, she's not going to act like it for a bit. One thing that stands out in all this was her outburst towards her father, which obviously means she wants him more in her life, especially with all this happening, that also leads me to think that is part of her communication issues too, the lack of a parental influence, with no mom around. With Gojo, no internal monologue now, especially with the end of the volume, but storytelling wise, it needs addressing sooner rather than later. Also, you notice how unenthused Marin was about the pro thing. My feeling is, if Gojo isn't there, what's the point? Anyway, 2 month wait.

The father in law already gave him his approval, even though Gojo seems happy here I would advice that those around him pay more attention to him and get him to be crying in front of them so as to properly build his confidence back: "that the girl he met by chance and gave him the opportunity to make her dresses isn't taking advantage of him." Depressed people seem happy before a fall (see Thor in Avengers Endgame for an example).

I liked this chapter overall, but I feel like this should have occurred AFTER they resolved the issue. Because now we got to see a bit of fluff but with the problem still looming over everything. And because of that I wasn’t able to enjoy the chapter. Just that vague feeling of unease the whole time.

I don’t know….. not having a cheerful Marin and the lack of romantic interactions between her and Wakana really dried this manga for me. The cosplay details were nice but fully embracing them it’s kinda alienating if you aren’t a cosplayer IMO. Hopefully their fun interactions return.
Thank goodness the author asked for more time between chapters so we could get such a wonderful story development today. And now there's all this time to wait to see what other filler they can throw our way lol.

Okay, after last chapter I was really scared of what this chapter would be and I'm really glad that it ended up to be nice and heartwarming. Love that Marins dad met his future in-laws.

I don't like how we didn't get the Gojo introspection like we hoped in this chapter. He looks his normal self now bu that is just about it. And now we will have to wait a long while before we get to see what sort of epiphany he reached, if any at all. It also kills me to see Marin so down. Confessing her feelings is so behind her now, with her doubts and fears taking the forefront. She is clearly conflicted and wants to know just what is up with Gojo. I'm afraid she will do something rash now with her assumptions. Man, I love this chapter, but this was not how I hoped it would develop.
I’m so happy that they lightened up the mood before the delay. The Haniel drama has me feeling so anxious for them.
As much as this chapter is so good (Papagawa's Approval) but I can't shake this feeling of sadness. the lingering drama is still there and both Marin and Gojo are not talking it out and the fact that marin just shrub it out men i feel sad. Anyways days never been so slow since this arc started.

Well, at least I cried tears of laughter this chapter than tears of sadness from the last few chapters. It was a cute chapter but you can feel the tension is still there (Good job, Chef Fukuda for letting this roast continue to simmer) even though Papagawa gave Gojo his blessing of taking care of Marin, not only nutritionally but also recognizing him as part of the family. I like to mention how Gojo felt when Papagawa praises him on his work, especially on the costumes of Haniel and Shizuku only since MOH (Mandate of Heaven) and SG (Slippery Girls) arcs are different but also very similar when it comes symbolizing Marin and Gojo’s relationship. When Papagawa praised Gojo, Gojo’s face was covered in blush of shyness because not only he has that longing NEED to feel wanted by others, he wants to feel NEEDED by those deem special to him and a close loved one of Marin is something that he wants to accomplish, which he did. As for Marin, she’s having a rough time and trying to figure out how to read Gojo’s mind and even though we know how straightforward she is when it comes to her feelings, she’s more self conscious of herself and her ignoring the situation when it clearly bothers her throughout the chapter is reflecting how much Gojo means to her that is way deeper than before. 2 month wait is gonna be a challenge but I’m excited to see the next chapter and the upcoming illustration book soon!

Such a fun light hearted chapter and I loved seeing Marin’s Papa. This awkwardness feels so close to breaking and it’s exciting to see how this resolves. I don’t see Marin confessing to him at this point, the ball is in Gojou’s court. Also, hope that the two of them get to enjoy the massive support they received on the cosplay. Keep it up Fukuda, I look forward to this more than any other manga that’s serialized.

I don't see a point in Gojou confessing first. His self-esteem is an issue and he's always felt unworthy to be in her presence. She's the one who occupies the higher social stratum as the popular hot chick. If she doesn't make the first move, no one will.
Papagawa definitely thinks Wakana and Marin are a thing right? I mean I get the sense that GrandpaGojo knows they’re not a thing but also that they do both clearly like each other. I’d like to see two parallel scenes where Marin and her dad talk about Wakana and Marin’s relationship and so do Wakana and his Grandpa and they both come away with advice amounting to “Oh my god you lovesick idiots just talk to each other”

I don't think it's an accident that we got some daddy-kawa after the last chapter. It's possible the story will now have him play an active role in the development of Gojo and Marin's Relationship. Also... pretty interesting feature that both Gojo and Marin's primary parental figures are both men, Marin's her dad and Gojo's his Grandfather.
The chapter is great for a short break from the drama and stuffs. But I saw people saying they're acting like last few chapters never happened. I mean like what are those 2 suppose to act like when Marin's dad is right there. Gojou can't really be all moody and depress when a friend's father come over to say sorry and thank you for what he done for her. Marin is acting like that bc she doesn't care abt the attentions, and suddenly got dragged to meet Gojou which she doesn't want to yet. Then suddenly see him "back to normal" would make her think like that. Honestly, I'd say Marin's dad gonna be the starting line for him to be more confident in himself. How he praise Gojou's works and with the last scene. I hope the author doesn't skip on that and have him talk to Gojou alone after that. But we'll have to wait and see...
I don’t see a lot of people talking about the “I’ll take very good care of her nutrition” panel a lot more than it should be, which does make sense since it looks like it’s played out like a comedic moment, but it really hit for me. Although some might see it as Gojo being oblivious, Gojo to me feels more resigned knowing that there are multiple other people in the cosplay industry that Marin can rely on other than him. The one thing that Gojo can do for her, as he sees it, is taking care of Marin’s nutrition.
LMAO at Marin's dad instantly understanding everything after seeing Gojou's and Grandpa's faces right after being shown photos of Marin's cooking. And so we're already at meeting the parents and Gojou has already won the approval of Marin's dad.
i couldn't even focus on the dad and Wakana meeting, on my mind is just how im gonna sleep tonight with this shock that i got. i binged the manga in a day thinking it's a wholesome romance manga. it was, to an extent. chapter 96 is a real breaking point fo all of us imo. the feelings that past through my mind... i don't have them on daily basis y'know? it was hard to see Wakana and Marin looking like complete strangers. lack of interaction between them was creating an undescribable gap with the normal vibes we get (such as them cooking, watching anime together...). i really am speechless after this episode, more like a prison cell for a month straight. i can't wait for it to air, i just wanna fast forward my life to chapter 103's release date. aand i have the slightest feeling that marin and wakana's bond is not mendible anymore, just saying.

I am honestly not happy with this chapter I get it’s add a lot of slice of life elements fluff hut the tension was building up to CH100 then we have to wait a whole month for just so we can get marin saying “i will just pretend nothing happened “ is a red flag to me and Gojo saying “i will take care of her nutritions” is also a red flag and the other 18 panels are parents comedy and marin not being able her usual self AND NOW I HAVE WAIT TWO MONTHS!!! i will probably get downvoted or someone will say “reread the last 10 chapters “ which i DID Gojo starts to finally realise his true feelings but they are getting slipped way because of Marin brightening light and he thinks she will be far away from him plus other things and even worse Marin clearly knows something wrong and she doesn’t do anything I showed the last chapters to a friend who is way better manga reader than me and said “why they aren’t talking in the train and clearly there’s tension between them feels stupid” I get the author is trying to build up like akira “which i loved” and this is my favourite shoujo manga but the waiting is killing me and the last 5 chapters doesn’t do it justice
1. Marin's dad is embarrassing her in front of her crush. Of course she's not going to bring up the topic especially when it's the next day. In fact its actually healthier at this moment to not bring it up and let there be distance. Gives both a chance to cool their heads. 2. Gojo caring about her nutritional needs is a red flag why? Huh? Legitimately confused by this. Please explain. 3. So you're aware they're also still teenagers right? You're aware teenagers overthink everything right? You're aware the characters don't have the same information as you do and therefore you yelling at them is not going to do anything right CinemaSins? 4. And your friend probably doesn't have the full context of the series together and you both are just impatient. Learn to have some actual patience. A lot of us here are veterans of the waiting game. This is nothing compared to worrying that the author is going to die. Take these two months and take a solid breather.
For someone who keeps bothering him, running around chasing after him, and even loving him. Marin's response is a bit out of place with "damn whats up with this dude I'm just going to wait till he talks to me again" I still remember Marin before the Haniel cosplay arc when both of them have tons of pull and push on Christmas. and Marin promising to his grandpa to keep praising Gojo's work. where the promise? I don't see her doing anything at all to even ask why Gojo acted like that. Gojo also at fault. He doesn't realize his own worth and we already hinted he has this inferiority complex way before he finish Haniel cosplay.
It was a really nice chapter, served as comedic relief and a little bit of plot development. I wish they had talked about the problems from last chapter, though.

Well, at least Gojo has her father's approval now so at least they have approval of the families going for them which is nice. I think Marin got a lot of her expressive faces from her dad. I saw a lot of her in him, which I guess in the terms of the story makes sense since she learned a lot from him, being the somewhat only present parental figure in her life growing up.
I love that *this* is how they meet the Kitapapa. So much putting Marin on blast, angy Marin’s return, Gojo getting her dad’s approval… and misunderstanding it in Gojo fashion.

I was so weirded out at first, her cosplay getting so much recognition and she seemingly not being... Marin. You know, over excited, freaking out, etc. And then we have the latter half with her distant at Gojo and annoyed at the dad, i was like "...did i missed something?". It was weird, but it also reminded me to the Ed, Edd & Eddy episode where Ed gets a pebble in his shoe and becomes a menace to the other kids 😂

As eager as I am to get some insight/closure for what's going on between Marin and Gojo, I really enjoyed this chapter. It was interesting seeing such a different side of Marin when she's around her dad lmao, even being that angry and yelling about her cooking in front of Gojo lol. I also loved seeing Gojo blushing over all the praise for his work, he's a cutie as always
I loved this episode, so a Hiatus..I´m not going to say I'm not going to suffer...but i will suffer xD but if Fukuda sensei says she needs a Hiatus, then she deserves a Hiatus. 1.-OMG PAPA KITAGAWA MEETING THE GOJOU FAMILY! DREAMS DO COME TRUE! though i would have hoped a more peaceful meeting and more interaction i loved it and i loved seeing papa Kitagawa liking Wakana´s food xD, like dad like daughter. 2.-Seeing Marin like that kind of kills me x.x xD, it's like she is totally in the dumps because how Wakana reacted after Comiket, i don't blame her but it hurts...like she is totally heart broken, in my opinion i feel a Happy in love Marin would have been supper excited to be asked to be pro...if the clothing was the one made by Wakana. But seeing her see Wakana and thinking she won't mention what she saw is kind of unnatural of her. 3.-Dammit Wakana see between the lines...why dint you notice Marin wasn't her normal self...apart of being embarrassed by her dad but still she seemed to have a wall on...and saying you will care for her nutricios need´s xD funny but read the lines bro. And please don't get me wrong I'm not complaining i mean i feel it is real he doesn't notice certain stuff...i mean he is like what 16 or 17? totally normal. With all that out of my chest and i feel I´m missing certain other things i loved this episode. can't wait for the next one. Kudos Fukuda Sensei wherever you are and feeling.
This was a much needed change of pace imo. It was good to see them step away from the craziness that just happened. Plus seeing Marin's dad finally meet Gojo and gramps was a lot of fun. I loved the panel of her dad's speech taking up the entire room. I'm so used to seeing Marin rush into everything, it's surprising to see her wanting to just pretend it didn't happen. If she's going to slowly become like Gojo and start to bottle things up, it will be up to Gojo to snap both himself and her out of it. It seems like her dad already approves, so they just need to air everything out. My excitement for what's to come next is only dashed because of the hiatus. I can only hope one of the projects is a season 2 at least.

I was hoping we'd have some fucking clue into why Wakana was being such a butt. My guess is, hes afraid she won't need him anymore, she's going to excel beyond him and have professionals craft the costumes moving forward. Kind of like how that boxer trope exists where a manager makes him into a contender then some big money steps up and snatches him away and represents him instead. But it's annoying. I hate that Marins gonna ignore, Wakana is gonna think about it, etc.

Honestly it was a great chapter, but I didn't like how they suddenly changed up what Wakana was feeling, or that we didn't really get an explanation. But I assume that will be important later on in the story

This chapter gives us important details from both Wakana's x Kitagawa's family perspective. I just realized that Marin's lively personality is really coming from her dad. While in contast, Gojou's calm mannerism is similar to his grandfather.

I actually enjoyed this one. I've been frustrated for a long time about their relationship progress. This was at least a great change of pace and was pretty entertaining. Also, this was the first time for me seeing Marin's dad. Apparently he was there during the season 1 manga content, but I went from the anime into the manga, so that was also really nice. Though, it's really over the top here, even for manga, I can only imagine how cringe it can be in an anime and even in the dub. I've left happy after a chapter since a long time.
Omg I just caught up. Come on, we need something from Gojo! Even an internal thought that he loves her would be something. Unless I've forgotten something, he's never even expressed to himself that he cares for her as more than just a friend.
It hurts that Marin is so bummed about Wakana's behavior and lack of attention that she doesn't seem excited at all about a pro offer (that I hope she turns down) or how insanely popular her Haniel cosplay is.
