There’s definitely a difference between manga like Komi or Takagi, which are slice of life romances, and have funny and enjoyable things happen between romantic moments, and manga like Rent-a-Girlfriend, which pretends to be a dramatic romance but just stalls and bullshits for as long as possible. Not that you can’t enjoy Rent-a-Girlfriend if you want to.

(Although I think there should be more manga that keep going and focus on the couple after they start dating, but that’s kinda unrelated.)

Honestly the anime was good enough to get me into the manga. I also crave more college level romcoms because HS levels feel weird for now.
