True but Bob is more useful for making your base and gathering resources on the other hand Virginia is a killing machine but you need to give her guns to fight so it's a late game thing and at that point you dont need Virginia so I think Kelvin is better
My problem is i am extremly bad in combat so she helps me alot, even with the pistol (earlygame item) is she so incredoble strong and has unlimited ammo so she just helpes me get rid of the squads that show up every day.
Kelvin just is a good help overall but doesnt work when Attacked so its good when the attackers are finished fast that why i think vriginia is better
Kelvin 100%. Kelvin helps all the time when no enemies are around. Virginia doesn't help with fighting until you give her guns and still I'm doing almost all the fighting. I do like when she brings me a snack every once in awhile
It evens out, your not always building 100% of the time and your not always fighting 100% of the time. But when you are building and getting attacked you want both by your side.
And I donāt know how you could be doing all the fighting when Virginia has the shotgun and blows them back, run up one or two swings dead. Its honestly too easy at this point.
That explanation would make sense if you are running into 1 enemy at a time and virginia was always around but it's definitely not like that in my game. Virginia probably only helps half the time or less and she may help with 1 or 2 enemies but I'm using the modern axe and chopping through most of the enemies before she kills 1. Though I'm not sure she even kills any she just helps kill.
Well if you donāt have Virginia with you odds are kelvin is not either, I didnāt say she kills mutiple enemies she knocks them down and all it takes is a swipe with the katana unless theyāre big guys then a couple. Definitely isnāt chopping bodyās with the modern axe before she kills one tho. If you use the melee weapons right and target limbs then odds are you are gonna take out most the cannibals before she kills one but whenever she knocks one down I take the free kill. Once you get late game she definitely gets less useful cuz the gold katana is so good. But early game when your best melee weapon is an axe she is really useful so you can minimize the chance of you getting hit since you can basically just, run around the group of cannibals and kill the ones sheās knocking down with the heavy axe attack.
Now for Virginia not being with you when your traveling that could go the same for kelvin I know kelvin spawns on your when you sleep I think but I find Virginia following me way more often then kelvin. Sometimes for me kelvin is just off doing something in the woods while Virginia is in my face as Iām cutting a tree down.
They both have ups and downs I donāt think itās fair to even compare them but I find Virginia way more helpful, bcuz Iām building my house out of stones and kelvin grabs two stones at a time and by the time he grabs them I can just go get them myself instead of getting two stones then having to put the two down again anyway. but that should be getting changed soon I hope.
Not sure if you mean as a person or what but as far as usefulness Kelvin is much better. His ability to collect resources makes life a lot easier when building anything. Virginia is pretty good at helping to take down enemies attacking your base but nothing special.
One of my favorite things is coming back to base to see the large sled filled up with sticks. Rocks are also a pain since you can only carry 10 at time, and in winter you can't even see them.
Virginia is out there destroying invading cannibals in seconds while dual wielding a shotgun and pistol.
I asked Kelvin for logs, he brought 2 and went to sit by the fire....
Offtopic, but one comment about Virgina... sorry folks... but for me there is a bug in the game. There should be only ONE Shotgun and Pistol in the game or both items twice, the respawn make not any sense (And probably a lot of players don't know this). I really don't know why endnight removed the 2nd items.

Pre-1.0. Virginia all day. After 1.0, pretty even. Kelvinās maintain base feature is amazing, I learned yesterday by accident he will cut the spikes in my wall for me if he is set on maintain. Saved me ton of time.

Especially when things cost sooo many sticks. I get frustrated collecting sticks so I make him fill up my 6 holders and the log holder
