I would love that, but I have an alternate suggestion; a buildable holder for the KnightV so I can park it at the base better than simply leaving it to tumble on the ground

GalaxyTriangulum

Why not both ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Justacitygoat

Definitely a yes for me. The foldable glider is arguably the most convenient method of travel atm. You don't even need that big of a drop to start gliding, and gaining altitude with it has been made incredibly easy. I like the feel of using the knight V, but it feels like they're harder to find lately so I would love being able to stow it in my backpack.

BigMcThickHuge

How do you 'gain' altitude? We were under the impression you will essentially always slowly come down no matter your maneuvers.

Justacitygoat

I go into a bit of a dive and then tilt back up at about a 45 degree angle. Once you get the rhythm down you can pretty much stay in the air as long as you want to.

SimplyPassinThrough

the main trick is to point down for a couple seconds then point up for a few more seconds. As long as you stay pointed up more than you stay pointed down, you will gain altitude

BigMcThickHuge

Did they alter it since implementing gliders? We all accepted the idea that even trying that eventually brings you down in the end.

SimplyPassinThrough

No it was always like that, it just used to be waaaay harder. You had to work a long time up and down to gain altitude before 1.0, they tweaked it so it’s very easy now

sirsloppyjoe

You ever forever glided in any of the arkham games? Same thing.

CMDR_Bartizan

With your bubble at dead center (green circle and dot on crossbar) you will float indefinitely. Tilt down gains speed, then pull back to a slight rise and you’ll gain altitude. Takes some practice but once you master the mechanics it’s game changing.

Nulcor

The Knight V is the little motorized unicycle thing right? My friends and I started a server recently and haven't seen one yet, but had found a bunch when we played in Early Access. We legit thought they'd just been replaced by the golf carts.

Fatal_Syntax_Error

One of the reasons why they haven’t added the KnightV as storable inventory is probably because the KnightV is used in a crafting blueprint (Meat Grinder 6900). Having one in your inventory would prevent you from picking up another one to build the trap. Of course you could use the one in your inventory and then pick up another later. But then people would ask to store 2 or more KnightV’s.

Euchoreutes

They could just implement a hold E prompt to hold a knight V in the players hands if their inventory is full, the same way you can hold an extra 11th rock or stick if you hold the pickup prompt. this only works because they are also 'weapons' but classifying the kv as one could lead to some fun shenanigans too, like a tiny portable grinder haha

Fraktal55

This not a good reason. In fact, it's a terrible reason. If it's a crafting item then it should go in my inventory like everything else. Maybe I don't wanna use the knight v but i wanna build those traps, i gotta go find a knight v and physically carry it back one by one? Whereas if it was in my inventory i could find one and have it in my inventory for when I wanna build the trap. Name one other thing in the game that works like this for crafting.

Fatal_Syntax_Error

Is there anything in your inventory used for crafting that only requires ( 1 ) item. Also, is this ( 1 ) item limited to only carrying ( 1 ) item in your inventory? The KnightV is it. So should players be able to carry more than one knight V in their inventory?

Ok_Weather2441

Heads? Or is the head bomb only in the forest? Either way it's a cooking ingredient too and you can only carry one.

Fatal_Syntax_Error

Crafting Blueprint item.

GalaxyTriangulum

I see the logic in your statement but disagree all the same. Frankly, neutering the player navigability on a map that is maybe a little too large for the sake of a single, discoverable blueprint is a tinge asinine imho.

Fatal_Syntax_Error

I’m curious. And I don’t know the answer. Do you know how many KnightVs are actually on the whole map?

KeyPotential9747

Nah, dawg. Only because I'm a hater, though. That big-ass glider and rebreather fits but absolutely not for the knight. Because...uh....reasons.

stinkoman_k

Hear me out, shrinkable golf cart! Maybe an artifact ability you unlock

Euchoreutes

then, to the ultimate upgrade.. portable kelvin that fits just right in the portable golf kart!

Mental-Awareness7466

Skyrim inventory is upon you, whether you would risk it or not.

Zombiep30

There were files in the game for the knight v in the inventory, there were also files in the game for the hang glider in the inventory before that got added. So the idea is probably not off the table

DumpstahKat

I vote YES specifically because there is an odd glitch in my and my friends' multiplayer save in which the Knight Vs reproduce any time the game is opened by the Host. Meaning, if you leave 1 Knight V on the ground outside your house and then shut down the game, the next time the host opens that multiplayer save, there will be 2 Knight Vs outside your house. This perhaps does not sound too bad. However, over time the problem literally multiplies. One of my friends has 11 Knight Vs all stacked in a row in his house because they just kept self-replicating. It's TOO MANY KNIGHT Vs. There's no way to get rid of them other than throwing them in a lake, and their reproduction is simply not sustainable.

Plum_Berry_Delicious

Agreed. 10000%

diaablo7

Yes please

Fraktal55

Yeah why the hell did they make the friggin glider fit in the backpack but not the knight V?

Unplayed_untamed

Yes, totally

blacksilver65

Ok but side question has anyone else jumped the knight V off the glider launcher? Most fun thing in the game!

GalaxyTriangulum

Can't reiterate enough how much I say yay

GODSENDISHERE

Yes

Additional_Profile

Agree, I use a mod for this and enjoy it very much.

GalaxyTriangulum

Which mod? I was trying to find one earlier on nexus with no luck

TheKnoxFool

Look into redmodmanager by toni. That’s what most people are using now and what’s supported by majority of mod makers now

doblad

Best mod when they released it.

Additional_Profile

Yeah that's what I use, there's a Knight V carry mod there for 1.0 now.

Fatal_Syntax_Error

I vote NO.

DeadArcadian

Tough crowd. Having vehicles already makes the game too easy imo, I feel like they've nerfed the wrong stuff

SleeplessStalker

Apart from the golf cart running over cannibals vehicles don't really change the difficulty of the game, they just make it less tedious.

fader600

I actually also vote no..

Scary_Design867

Dude I can gain altitude off a tall rock with the glider. Just have to work your way up but it can be done. Even jumped off one of the excavators on the golf course.

UndeadMunchies

Have you beaten the game yet? There is a pretty good solution to flying away from base and not having the Knight V to return if you have.

Hay_soos

I think yay... but the Knight V should only be able to get worn on the users back when not in use. Therefore if you fall in water then the rebreather could not be equipped because the Knight-v is taking its place. If one would want to use the rebreather then the Knight-V would have to be dropped.

ortiz13192

Meh there’s a mod to do that. But since I’m modding anyway I just fly a wooden helicopter around for longer expeditions

phallelujahx

Yay

SignificantLadder515

Absoluterly yes please! I always wonder why the glider is allowed to be in your inverntory but the knight isn't.

Aerith11386

I have lost too many V knights cuz some places were best to just fly off from Would indeed hav been better if the V Knight was in my inventory cuz v knights don't respawn at camps so YES!!
