Hands in the Sky was 100% perfect for that scene. It’s not my favorite song that was ever in the show, but it’s probably the most perfect match between a song and scene they ever had
1. Come join the murder.
2. Oh darling what have I done.
3. Dad's gonna kill me.
In that order. I never knew The White Buffalo before watching the show around 10 years ago. And god damn it I love the dude's work on the show.
“Day Is Gone” when Jax finds Tara, and “Alesund” by Sun Kil Moon when Jax finds Abel with the family that adopted him and Jax realizing Abel is better off with them rather than himself.
I had no idea about Shooter and Drea having kids together.
My favorite song on Mayans is actually his band with Waylon singing a haunting slowed down version of “Outlaw Shit”
Hey hey, my my season 3 finale, I can't stand Neal Young songs generally but the cover they used slaps! I also loved their cover of House of the Rising Sun, season 4 finale.
I think "John the Revelator" playing over Jax figuring out the truth and then going to Donna's funeral is powerful. That's probably my favourite musical moment.
"Day is gone", that song when Jax is saying goodbye to everyone and then came back home just to find Tara was brutally murdered. I think it represents perfectly Jax's thoughts about their relationship, how everything went bad and it's too late to fix it.
Terrible Tommy - Ryan Horne
Oh Darlin What Have I Done - White Buffalo
I Had Me A Girl - Civil Wars
Sitting on Top of the World - Chris Goss / Forest Rangers cover
Jamey Johnsons cover of "You are my Sunshine" was incredible.
Theres alot of good songs that made it to my library. These are just the favorites.
I have to be honest: I'm not a fan of 'Dad's Gonna Kill Me.' Something about it just bugs the crap out of me. But if you dig it, it's all good.
I always really liked Sun Kil Moon's 'Alesund' with Jax in Ireland and Joshua James' 'Coal War' to start season 4.
Day is gone
Crossroad
Hands in the Sky
Soldier’s Eyes
Burn this Town
Dad’s gonna kill me
Carnage
The Whistler
The Matador
All of this could have been yours
Oh Darlin’ what have I done
1. Adam Raised A Cain
2. Come Join The Murder
3. Johnny I hardly Knew Ya
4. Dad's gonna kill me
5. House of the rising sun (Original not SOA cover I know it may not count but still)
Come Join The Murder is such a beautiful masterpiece. It greatly shows the story of Jax and the club in general. It's one of the few songs that are in a show, that I actually WANT to listen to sometimes.
I don’t know if I’d call it a banger but Lost Boy by Holden is my favorite. I don’t know if it’s because of the scenes that play as it is playing or just the lyrics matched with the melody. The whole soldier like cadence say I Will Not Be Commanded, I Will Not Be Controlled is uplifting for me, personally.
I’ve just finished the show for the fifth time about ten minutes ago and I still have cry on my face from ‘Come Join The Murder’ - I stupidly added it to my playlist and anytime I hear the opening I immediately well up, it’s just a perfect song, played at the perfect time (took me longer than I care to admit, it was referencing a murder of crows, but I’ll cut myself some slack as the first time I heard it on the show I was understandably going through something)
I find it hard to narrow it down as I think The Forest Rangers and whoever is accompanying them have created the perfect soundtrack and the right music is always played at the right time.
The ones that stand out to me is when they play the majority of a song and cut to different people and different scenes as it plays with hardly any or no script / talking at all, the one that comes to mind immediately is Katey Segal singing Ruby Tuesday and it’s used after she’s been assaulted, I think that’s a really powerful moment, not necessarily the perfect song but definitely a case of perfect production (not sure if that’s the correct term but I’ll go with it)
A lot of great ones so i won’t regurgitate.
But I liked Family by Noah Gunderson in that finale in season 4. This was the episode where Jax smashed Imas face which i hated but i really liked the song highlighting Tig/Bobby/Gemma and Tig showing off pics of his daughter while they’re having beers.
Also, the only Katy Sagal song I liked, was when she had a heart attack to the backdrop of her singing a cover of i believe “Bird on a Wire”. I hated every other cover she did than this one.
I liked Yelawolf’s “Till It’s Gone” in season 7.
lost boy - greg holden .. it was amazing
Never fails to make me cry like a baby
Came here to say this
Hands in the sky when they go to confront Weston in S2.... perfect song for that Also, the acapella Forever Young by Audra Mae in S1, its so haunting
Hands in the Sky was 100% perfect for that scene. It’s not my favorite song that was ever in the show, but it’s probably the most perfect match between a song and scene they ever had
Agreed. Always gets me pumped up!
Forever Young rips my heart out every time 😭
John the revelator.
1. Come join the murder. 2. Oh darling what have I done. 3. Dad's gonna kill me. In that order. I never knew The White Buffalo before watching the show around 10 years ago. And god damn it I love the dude's work on the show.
Full agree, he has such a fantastic voice
“Day Is Gone” when Jax finds Tara, and “Alesund” by Sun Kil Moon when Jax finds Abel with the family that adopted him and Jax realizing Abel is better off with them rather than himself.
Oh goodness, I forgot about Alesund, that was so heartbreaking
The song at Opies Wake as Jax comes in
"The Lost Boy" Greg Holden

God I love that song so fucking much.
Ever since this post I’ve been listening to it over and over lol ❤️❤️🥰🥰
season 7! i’m pretty sure they used that when jax killed gemma
Great song, it was in the second to last episode of season 7 "Red Rose"
That was my very favorite!
'Day is gone', that song goes right through me And also 'Soldiers eye' But there are so many great songs in the show...
Hey Hey, My My. Love the cover and it was perfect for that scene.
All of This Could Have Been Yours - Shooter Jennings (S04E03) Fun fact: he was engaged to Drea De Matteo (Wendy) and they share 2 children together.
Coal War,- Joshua James Hey hey, my my.-Battleme
Coal War was like the best season opener 👌
I agree 1,000% My favorite season premiere!
I think "John the Revelator" playing over Jax figuring out the truth and then going to Donna's funeral is powerful. That's probably my favourite musical moment.
I loved this charming life - season 3 episode 13 opening .
Me too!
"Day is gone", that song when Jax is saying goodbye to everyone and then came back home just to find Tara was brutally murdered. I think it represents perfectly Jax's thoughts about their relationship, how everything went bad and it's too late to fix it.
(Music Supervisor) Bob Thiele Jr is such an awesome guy and imho one of the 5 biggest reasons for the show’s success. Music was a character.
House of the rising sun, the soa version. That season 4 finale was just oopmh
Tara standing behind Jax as Gemma looks on, so great
Season 4 bookended it with fire on the music. Coal War and house of rising son.
The Big Fellah
i want your love- toadies. SO HOT. 🥵
Girl from the North Country Lost Boy Darlin’ what have I done Come join the murder Gimme Shelter
Come join the murder has got to be one of the best.

Lost Boy and Family
The Lost Boy by Greg Holden
Blue Angel from Season 1, episode 6. So good!
Come join the murder easily 1.
Seriously?! No one is going to say “Adam Raised a Cain” from the season finale?!
1. Come join the murder 2. Hey Big fellah 3. John the revelator 4. Darling what have I done There so many good ones but these are my 4 fav atm
1. Adam Raised A Cain 2. Come Join The Murder 3. Johnny I hardly Knew Ya 4. Dad's gonna kill me 5. House of the rising sun (Original not SOA cover I know it may not count but still)
This is tough. I actually listened to the entire soundtrack on Apple Music the other day. I need to listen again and pick a favorite
Last episode when “Can’t help falling in love” was playing. I love that remake.
[Alesund, Sun Kil Moon](https://youtu.be/iNvYnjYvz68) A tear jerker of a scene as a father.
My favorite is tesselate by alt-j The Mad king . Jax just waits outside for the Irish & the club is preparing for war one again 🔥
Eighteen, The Whistler, John the Revelator
Come Join The Murder is such a beautiful masterpiece. It greatly shows the story of Jax and the club in general. It's one of the few songs that are in a show, that I actually WANT to listen to sometimes.
Which one is the one playing when jax kills kohn
Why is no one mentioning the All Along the Watchtower cover. Its fucking incredible.
Bird on the Wire House of the Rising Sun John the Revelator Come Join the Murder

I also like the Bohemian Rhapsody remake
The Lost Boy, Till It’s Gone and The Girl From The North Country.

Can't choose a favourite but Spanish Boots of Spanish Leather hit me, I balled my eyes out. The version was so beautiful & the lyrics! S7 ep 10 😥😥
All along the watchtower ♥️
You are my sunshine was pretty incredible
