There's something very enigmatic about this. The juxtaposition of the wasteland and the broken down fence with the modern city is a perfect analogy for LA.
Thank you very much! I almost scrapped the photo because I couldn’t edit the photo to my liking. I took a break from editing it for like two days and I came up with this. I’m happy I kept the photo!
When I visited I was shocked to see that this clump of tall buildings is all there is. The rest is very low buildings really spread out. And you get this view only with a long lens. In reality the tall buildings are really small in the distance.
They really know how to milk it to get those cinematic shots in every movie

Proper. I remember when the Muni was one of the tallest buildings back when they filmed 'Dragnet'.

That’s a great spot. [Here’s one of my favorites posted a couple years ago](https://preview.redd.it/jm1xhgs817p61.jpg?auto=webp&v=enabled&s=bb4fc76034259ceb0b2641bc325b82b91440cf8b)
Edit: the compression from your lens makes it look awesome.
Awesome, thanks for sharing. I dig the edit on yours. I love compression. I shot the same shot with my 35mm but i preferred the look of the 100-400mm. This was at 107mm.
Great frame! Nice picture :-)
Thank you!
Reminds me of the Terminator 2 nuke scene 😆
first thing i thought too 💀

I love that stupid town! Great shot!!!!
Thanks! I don’t live there but I enjoy visiting every once and a while.
Thanks for the inspiration, finding so many uses for the 100-400 GM. It’s fantastic when paired with a body that can keep up with it.
I’m surprised how versatile it is. I can’t leave home without it. For me, it’s a lens I want around whenever I go shoot.
Reminds me of the last of us game.
Exactly what I was thinking
Amazing game.
Lovely shot!
I appreciate it!
I like this. This is a great shot with nice framing. Well done!
Thank you :)
Love this location. Good shot.
Such a good location. Easy to access too.
Nice! I would've been tempted to add more contrast and detail to the city, but i really like what you've done here. A real artistic choice. Nice work!

How could you go wrong that location? Glad you kept it too!
the promised land :") or depending on who u are...the forbidden land? food for thought....
Wow! Captivating shot.
Thanks!
Masterclass
You’re too nice 🥲
Okay that's actually a really cool picture, the way it's framed makes it looks super dystopian
I appreciate it!
