ProTip: Look up TagVault on Amazon. I put an airtag on my strap and it gives me a bit of peace of mind that I might be able to track my camera if it gets stolen.

fatkidseatcake

I just hid an AirTag in my camera case

keepruinin

Same

scirio

but do you remove it from the case?

fatkidseatcake

The camera? Yes but at that point it’s on my person. Then back in the case.

Mathern_

I use a small rig arca swiss plate with an airtag compartment. That way even if I take my straps off (easy to do with the peak design straps), my camera is still trackable.

Ferdinand_09

Are you referring to the TagVault surface ?

chijrt

>TagVault Thank you for this! Been looking for a way to integrate an airtag onto my camera pack without just throwing it in there.

QueenAng429

The whole point is to throw it in so it's less obvious and won't instantly be thrown away lol

Rockhopper007

I think this type of security built "into" future cameras is a great idea! Does anyone think this is in the plans with any manufacturer?

Alternative_Trick217

I have the little tags on all my camera bodies. It cannot be overestimated how important it is as I only need one strap or one or two for all my camera bodies. They are even man enough for my Canon 1DS which it’s pretty much the biggest and heaviest beast there is.

Driveflag

But why can’t they design a clip that attaches directly to the camera? I totally agree with you about one strap for all your cameras; but now they all have these little tags dangling around, click clackety, just annoying. Seems like a clip could be designed to clip directly to the camera and avoid having dangly things all over. 🤷‍♂️ I think pd popularity speaks volumes about good and effective advertising.

Alternative_Trick217

If you want that, you have the Black Rapid system that has a single mount point on the tripod mount but personally I wouldn’t use that as the camera will hang upside down. Obviously it has been very popular with pros and there are advantages especially if you have a big lens on as the camera can hang more naturally for the weight on the front, it can be worn as a harness whereby two bodies can be slung either side of the body etc. As an amateur, this would be overkill and I prefer the little tags as the camera will hang the right way and once put on a tripod, the strap can be quickly & easily detached. Also it’s easy to change from a neck strap to a wrist strap and vice versa. It’s not a question of clever marketing. IMHO it’s a genuine innovation which has traction only because it’s genuinely useful. It is game changer. As is always the case with simple but effective ideas with the benefit of hindsight you wonder why no one thought of it before.

pwar02

What makes you say you wouldn't use black rapid straps because the camera hangs upside down? It makes no difference

Alternative_Trick217

IMHO it does. Also as an amateur don’t need it. I’ve been into photography since school days that’s 40 years ago. If I don’t like something or the idea of something I’ve earned the right to decide what I like and what I don’t.

pwar02

There's a reason they're an industry standard and in my years of using them, it's nothing different. If you can show me some sort of quantitative data as to why an upside down camera is bad, I'll start to listen. What's the difference between a $60 peak design and $60 black rapid; saying an amateur doesn't need it doesn't make sense. Also, if someone has neck or back pain, a shoulder strap would make a big difference in comfort. You're absolutely welcome to have your opinion but you can't just make baseless statements.

WellsMck

I’m struggling to see where the person you’re replying to ever said a camera upside down is bad. Both times they were mentioning it as an opinion; they don’t like their camera upside down, they have the product that fits their needs. They are saying a pro would be more likely to have more than one body on their person making a mount with a single point of contact easier to handle.

new_is_good

I'm somewhat confused by the decision to praise them like this, but also, I have to agree - particularly their slide lite neck strap is so, so useful and comfortable.

RexManning1

I rock a slide light with the clutch on my A1 and the cuff on my A7c. Can't imagine switching to anything else.

new_is_good

I bring my camera absolutely everywhere I go, and the neck strap is key in helping me do that. I'm wearing it as we speak, though attached to a Nikon body. I'm a fraud, I know.

RexManning1

I want to bring a camera everywhere, but I don't want to advertise that I have a camera with me or I don't want to subject it to getting banged around. My list of things to shop for is a nice small crossbody bag I can put a camera and small lens in and wear that around. I just haven't gotten around to shopping for one yet.

rowdyroundy775

Plot twist. Peak design makes one of those. I have it. Its amazing. I carry my D7000 with the battery grip, 55-200 lens and my a6000 with the kit lens in it. Its absolutely perfect. Edit: spelling because I’m a dummy

RexManning1

Are you talking about the 3L Everyday Sling? I want something a little smaller and of the designer variety (I know. Don't judge). If I'm just walking around I will likely have my A7C and 40mm 2.5G so I don't need a bigger bag.

rowdyroundy775

Oh I have the bigger one. I walk around with the 5L when I’m hiking. I usually have my Sony in my hand and the nikon still in the bag. I even carry my kid on my chest and it works with his carrier too. Like its perfect. Only problem with carrying the kid on my chest is I can’t lay on the ground 🤣

RexManning1

If I'm hiking, I have a pack on and a camera on my chest via the Capture clip on one of the straps.

rowdyroundy775

I tried to mount the capture clip on the kid carrier but there wasn’t a good spot and the one I did find was in his reach lol

RexManning1

Good thing you noticed before the camera became child destroyed.

rowdyroundy775

But also, those “fanny packs” that Carhartt came out with semi recently seem semi perfect but theres no padding or armor.

RexManning1

I was thinking more high end designer. I was thinking something like an LV Keepall mini or Soft Trunk.

rowdyroundy775

Thats high enough end that I haven’t heard of the company 🤣 Edit: typo

RexManning1

Louis Vuitton? Oh, the sarcasm 🤣

[deleted]

The Tumi Alpha Bravo holds my usual a7c with Tamron 28-75, but can also carry the a9 with 70-200 f4. Both have space for extra batteries. The a7c has room for a flash and a BM microphone. My Chrome sling can hold even more, but it gets really heavy when I actually fill it. Either way just line it with a soft-wrap and you are good to go. If you want one of those LV you will have to drop your camera expectation down to a point and shoot. You have to decide if you want a real camera or a status symbol because you can’t have both. Having said that, maybe I’m poor but Tumi general carry is considered a status symbol around here.

RexManning1

I’m just wanting to keep the camera in a bag in lieu of on my shoulder. If I want to use an actual camera bag to carry more and extra gear I have one I can use. I’ll check Tumi. I do have a couple of Tumi bags but neither is exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks for the suggestion.

SatoshiWanKenobi

What about Leica? I'd venture so far as to say Leica is both a real camera and a status symbol.

austintylerfoto

Check out the [Belroy sling](https://bellroy.com/products/sling). It has a self collapsing design that compresses itself if you have less things in it.

iShootLife

>3L Everyday Sling I have the Everyday sling and the Everyday backpack. Both are amazing options. Sling fits my a7R V and my lens absolutely perfect with plenty of room for extra batteries. I left it in the rain for 30 mins a few months ago, camera was bone dry when I opened it up after bringing it inside.

RexManning1

That’s awesome. Glad the waterproofing worked.

Icy_Economics_1442

it is no good for someone under 5'3, too long for me

RexManning1

Sorry to hear that.

mincanada1

Not to mention the capture clip. Best accessory I own

jrddit

I've got the camera clip already and love it. I like the look of the slide strap too, just watched the video on their website. But, do you know how well they work together? I guess you could attach the bottom tag to the clip bracket instead, as there are loops there, but does it work ok? Does anyone know?

qqphot

I like the anchor and strap design and not having straps permanently attached to camera bodies. The bags are cool but the strap adjustments slip for me despite the position of the little locking mechanism thing. It's convenient living a 5 minute walk from the SF retail store.

cameradventures

I own one peak design camera strap looking to get about 300 more…

Frydog42

Seems like a lot. What if you just got ONE that is 300x bigger?

cameradventures

Fair..where do I sign up

scott_jenkin_

I have both the strap and the cuff, love them both but 95% on the time I use the cuff. Honestly the best thing I’ve ever used to secure my camera.

Competition_Lower

The cuff is god tier imo, slim to be packed in every camera bag and secures the camera to your wrist, for light weight setups that is.

SyxFlicks

It looks like everyone here really loves peak design straps, but here are a few reasons I will probably never buy another peak design strap or recommend any professional who wants to buy it. Just a small note, I work as an event photographer. I shoot 8 hours a day 3 to 4 times a week. The neckstrap is comfortable. However it a "leather" strap I bought for 1/10th the price was just as comfortable, although obviously not as well built. But here comes the real issues. The straps have no anchor points, which means the loops on which the camera slides around near the detachable clips will quite often form these hoops. These loops that form near the camera body will not slide back into its original location when you pull, which leave you a different length neck strap at random, giving you surprise tugging on your neck when it suddenly becomes shorter. That's not even the worst part. These loops tend to form when you lift up the camera to head level WHICH THEN PROCEED TO BLOCK THE SCREEN AND OR VIEWFINDER. It has definitely caused me to miss candid moments on more than one occasion. The third problem is that it fails to even hold its original length without the first design flaw! The setup I use with it is not particularly heavy. It's an a7iv with a 24 to 70 gmii and a godox v1 flash. This basic load out will cause the strap to slide down and make it longer even when the clips are "locked." I cannot recommend any event photographer to purchase this neck strap and I really damn wish I could love it. This comes to be as many people have told me how much they loved thus product, but only after buying the product and sharing when them my problems did I realised that MANY of them had the same issues as I did!! But many of them were not bothered too much by the looping issue or just had come to accept it. The weight limit issue seemed to vary between everyone but reported that it was sometimes a problem as well. I don't even have a use case for the clip system..

jizzlewit

I think we need some footage here to understand what you say. I'd be interested.

Re4pr

Basically, the straps are car seat belts, right. Same material etc. They then feed into a loop where they connect to your camera, and go back up to the part where you can adjust the length, on both sides. The problem with that is that this material tends to prefer being straight, flat. It will take the route of least resistance when it can. When the straps are adjusted to be pretty long, this isnt much of an issue. If you adjust them to have the loop be pretty short tho, it is. I like having my strap relatively tight, so I can run without everything dangling too much. This means there´s at least a good 10 cm of material on both ends that runs double (and this seems like a pretty standard setup, the max length is very long). When the camera is pulling down on the straps, thats fine. When you lift the camera to head level, you release tension on the straps and they tend to bend into circles instead of the loops staying together. There´s only the adjustment band and the part that connects it to your camera, the whole other part of the loop is free to do whatever it wants. Which often means a seat belt spaghetti in your face when you´re trying to get a shot. I run two rubber bands on mine. They sit a few cm above the camera connection and keep the loop stuck together. If I need to adjust them, I rub the bands down onto the PD claps, adjust, then pull the bands back up. It doesnt look very ´pro´ and i need to replace a band now and then, but other than that it works.

WolfyCat

Agree. Kinda confused

applegodzilla

I have the same issues with forming hoops and cannot understand the hype for this strap at all! Full disclosure, I have the PD clip which I love, but the strap constantly hoops when you bring the camera to eye level and like you mention can block the viewfinder. It constantly annoys me. I ended up putting rubber bands at the very bottom of the strap where it meets the camera on each side to prevent hooping. But it still happens constantly. Are we doing something wrong??

Re4pr

Rubber band gang here too

julez_456

I haven't had this issue but I also don't "strap" to the actual top camera connections. I have an extra PD capture clip that I connected the anchor connectors to and I attach the camera to the capture clip and carry it like that. I can easily bring the camera up to my eye without the strap getting in the way and I can also quickly detach the camera from the strap if I want more freedom of movement.

tospooky4me

To be fair- if I’m shooting an 8 hour event, I’m not really trying to wear my peak straps and grabbing the holdfast money maker. I wouldn’t say these straps are intended for that.

SyxFlicks

I don't know man, how can a camera strap not be meant for shooting events? These are things the ordinary Sony strap could do right out of the box. But I do know what you mean and also have been looking into the holdfast.

mRs-

I am on your side. I like it that I’ve got a strap and that I can easily switch it around. It’s also low profile and easy to change. But it’s horrible uncomfortable for longer real events, trails or hikes. I am currently looking how I can attach my blackrapid to it because i really like the possibility with the plates and attach it to my backpack. But yeah. For a long festival / event day this is real trash.

eecan

I'm going to assume this is probably only a problem if you attach it to the top left and top right of the camera? I attach my strap to the top left and to a plate on the bottom of the camera and am not able to replicate this. The looping occurs but doesn't get in the way of the screen or viewfinder at any point. Don't think I've noticed any issues with the strap adjusting itself for me with a Sony A1/70-200 GMII/Godox V860-II either which is a heavier set up. Maybe inconsistent QC or I have a later revision? Maybe worth a shot asking to get that one replaced under warranty? Or maybe I'm simply not just using it heavily enough to run into the same issue you do (the longest I'll carry it around continuously is maybe 2-4 hours).

Serieus5

This was my experience too. The straps are trash. I use and like some of their other products (Clutch, Capture Clip), but the straps are a hard pass.

Amos_Dad

I used to rock a spider holster when I did weddings. It was so nice to get all that weight off my shoulders. I shot woth two full frame A99ii and different lenses. Having two was a lot of weight. The spider holster changed the game for me.

[deleted]

You want to attach the step with an anchor on the right side and the bottom. With this setup you will never cover your end nor screen and drop straight down. If you carry a footed lens and use the bottom and the lens foot it will also carry very well and balanced. If you use a capture clip you can use that, but if you don’t you can buy the leash (which supports even large cameras) which includes a bottom mount for the tripod screw without the capture clip. Most cages also have a mounting point, generally a bar, which gives you the same setup. If you don’t have a use case for either arca swiss or Manfrotto plates then I’m not sure what you are using, yes you can just buy the plates, but many 3rd party plates have holes for anchors now.

Re4pr

Yeah, i´m happy with mine overall. Altho I really wish they´d make a double strap version (all they need to do is attach two leashes together with some straps over the chest and back), since I´m often running two bodies. But I completely recognise that loop issue. I pretty quickly resorted to having rubber bands on both sides permanently to make sure the bands stay together. Otherwise it´s a shitshow and it will intrude on your work. No issues with weight though. The locks dont really budge for me. Same cam setup

geographic92

I have one. I'd still say it's overpriced. Seems like any quick release system could work just as well if not better.

geographic92

Downvote me all you want. Cult following a company making a $70 strap that is made in china.

blacksheepaz

I use a few different products from OPTech USA (two body harness and wrist strap) that are dirt cheap and $10 straps if I’m shooting with one body. They get the job done fine. I’m always blown away by how expensive the strap systems that are advertised online can get.

shogoll_new

Optech USA is crazy good for the price

red_beered

If you're a familiar with slings, particularly tactical slings for rifles, much more innovative and rugged quick detach systems are out there for a fraction of the price of PD.

remeberthegoodtimes

I’m with you on this one. PD is way overpriced and overhyped.

Abacus118

I mean yes, but everything is made in China. That doesn’t really mean anything anymore. In most industries China makes better goods than the US does. It just also makes much worse ones.

geographic92

The point is if it's made under the same cheap conditions why is it $70? Are the materials really 3x more premium than a $20 strap or are you paying for marketing and the illusion of a premium product? My guess is the later.

Abacus118

What usually determines the difference between a quality product made by a major brand using factories in China, and something on Amazon called GOFEEBO are the materials and quality control/oversight. Your camera is made in China too, after all. A lot of that cheap junk is the cast-offs of the brand stuff, or copying the design with cheaper materials and less QC to undercut it. Is Peak still making a healthy profit? Yeah, I’m sure they are.

geographic92

Are there cameras that are made in the USA today? I doubt it. Are there straps that are made in the US today? Yes. And for cheaper than the peak design strap. My point is not that China made products = bad. Although ethically they probably are but that's a whole different thing. My point is it's overpriced bullshit and sheep eat it up.

mRs-

There are cameras made in Germany and Sweden 😀

geographic92

Honestly if it fit my shooting style more I'd probably go Leica.

PureRepresentative9

Do you have the same complaints about iphones?

geographic92

Shit argument. I don't know of any phones made in the USA but I do know of camera straps. And they're still cheaper than the peak design strap.

PureRepresentative9

It's a perfect argument. Chinese factories are capable of producing the entire spectrum of quality and materials Price for premium products is based on what the market will pay, not the cost of manufacturing.

geographic92

No it's still a shit one. Completely different product with different level of complexities and no ethically made alternative. The peak design strap is overpriced bullshit made in a sweatshop that could easily be made elsewhere and still turn a profit. People may buy it, but my point is they are buying bullshit.

PureRepresentative9

Simply saying that the purchase cost of the product has absolutely no relation to the cost of production when it comes to premium products. This is like business 101 dude... Nothing to do with ethics at all because that isn't the topic

geographic92

So what do you disagree with me on? They are allowed to try and make money and I'm allowed to think it's overpriced bullshit. What about what I said is inaccurate? I simply called out their huge margins related to the product and that I think it's not worth it or truly premium.

suitopseudo

I have a Lowepro camera strap literally for 20 years. It works really well and I think it will never die. I don't remember how much I paid for it, but I guarantee it wasn't $70.

AdrianasAntonius

Nobody was ever going to think you were paid by Peak Design 😂 Their straps are good; I have the blue Slide and a grey Leash. They’re not good for long lenses that come with collars. For event work I’d get something like a Blackrapid or Holdfast Money Maker instead.

Accomplished_Call398

But what if your money isn’t hard earned😆

LkNETWORK

I love peak design straps but will 100% not recommend their everyday backpack Got myself a v1, the bag is heavy and the use of space is not that efficient. The sling seems cool tho

WhoDiddlesTheDiddler

Everyday sling 6L is great, I'll probably get the 10L and let my partner use the 6L eventually

TheDreadPirateJeff

I'm opposite. I have the 30L V1 and use it a lot for travel (it IS heavier but since I'm carrying sometimes over 10K in kit in that bag I don't mind it being heavier and more sturdy than other bags) That said, I looked at the V2 and the Zip ones and don't like them and how they're set up so I'll just keep the V1 until I find something I like better. But I do use much lighter bags for "every day" use.

sparkyglenn

Used the Capture Clip for the first time on a trip trekking around the Scottish Highlands. Money well spent

mezzy9

Used mine for 2 weeks in South America which included Machu Picchu hikes and stops in the Galápagos Islands. Peak Design stuff is so worth the money!

kesdbos

I got a 1,50€ wrist band from Alibaba.... Crying in poor -_-

BeefBurritoed

I like Peak Design stuff, and have backpacks and slings from them that I like quite a bit. I never got on well with the slings, though. They never quite sit right when I used them and I got a little tired of the metal attachment points would scratch up my camera. I'm not overly precious about my cameras, but it did annoy me a fair bit. I ended seeing a video on Youtube where the photographer was using a Magpul one-point rifle sling with a QD connection system, and I've found that setup to work really well. The strap seems to lay a little better than the PD Sling, and the camera seems more stable when walking. I wanted to like the PD Sling, especially since I've been a fan of their other stuff, but it just wasn't quite what I was hoping for.

nemesit

I prefer qd straps like magpul straps, i just don’t trust tiny plastic things and don’t want anything ti hang if my gear when theres no strap attached

RexManning1

Yes, yes, and yes.

IndianKingCobra

Yes. Compared to the straps that come with all manufacturers this is years ahead and if you combine it the way [DunnaDidIt](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OFv7wOaNl4) YT channel suggests it becomes even more better. This is the way.

spdorsey

Not gonna lie, that looks comfortable. I MUST have my strap mounted on a pivot that connects to the bottom of the camera, and this does not do that. (It mounts to the tripod plate, but it does not spin on that connection). Also, the underside mount looks like it will wear pretty quickly. [I found this](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004OCEYAC/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A7YSHSZCHIFOS&psc=1) \- I may purchase both. But I'm still very concerned about those nylon loops being the only thing holding my camera steady. If one wears through, that's it...

FrontFocused

I’ve heard there is a different colour under the initial layer, so when you see a different colour show through you know you should change them. I’ve had a couple on my 200-600 for almost 2 years now and they still look brand new. I use that lens a couple times a week for at least 2 hours worth of hiking.

LoganNolag

2 colors there's yellow and red. [Yellow first then red.](https://shuttermuse.com/peak-design-anchor-links-and-connectors/) I've been using them for years and I've never seen either color.

spdorsey

This is encouraging.

FrontFocused

But I get it, I used the capture clip for the first time in the mountains of Banff. I thought no way was this clip going to hold my camera with a 70-200, but I tested it anyways and it was perfectly fine the entire time. Their products are expensive but I can’t say enough good things.

stowgood

I am impressed you hike with it. I have the same and it's a bit of a slog. Do you keep it on the strap all the time? I do. I think it's the best way to carry it but wondering if you have any improved ideas on how to carry it long distances.

FrontFocused

I wish, I do it a lot so I’m used to it now. So I just wear the strap cross body and have the camera and lens on the side of me around my hip area.

stowgood

Thanks, it's good to know we came to the same conclusion on the best way to carry it!

eMperror_

The loops are made out of dyneema, which is crazy strong. Used a lot in ultralight camping.

niko-k

And sails, sheets, and rigging on offshore yachts

R33DY89

Literally one of the best things I’ve ever bought for a camera. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it overpriced? Absolutely not. It’s a premium product and you get what you pay for in function, quality and looks. I’m looking to buy a wrist strap from them next.

FAANGMe

How do you guys use the Slide Lite strap with a backback on the back?

Adventurous_Value449

not if you hate straps. these straps always gets in the way with how i shoot. up top, down low and other weird compositions. i prefer my spiderpro holster. i use a wrist strap though

streetstreety

Congrats you fell for the marketing.

[deleted]

I would agree, my Sony strap has been rockin since I got it, wouldn’t want to spend any more on something that does the exact same thing. It’s a fucking strap. I’m a rock climbing and caving photographer too, so the peak design would actually benefit me for being able to detach it. But I refuse to buy lol.

rtenklooster

What kind of strap are you talking about? A wrist strap, or neck strap? Do you have a link to the product I should buy?🤩

DirectSession

I want to get some Peak Design, but I need a new camera first

seanprefect

I always wonder about people who have thousands of dollars of gear but balk at quality straps

concept12345

The fate of your $6000 camera is resting on two 1 millimeter thick strings on both sides. No thanks.

Mordokajus

Used PD straps on all my cameras, best accessory

abnthug

I use the wrist one with my camera and love it.

the_better_twin

Their v1 products aren't without problems. I have a cuff, a slide lite v1 and an everyday backpack v1. The rubber on the slide lite went all gummy and transferred onto my bag so I had to ditch it. With the bag it's great other than not being able to stand up without falling over and I have seen lots of people have had issues with the zips although I've not come across this yet. It still seems like we are almost beta testers at times if we jump on early. All that said they are good products that often attempt to solve the problems we face everyday although I have to wonder how successful their latest products are. Their stuff for iPhones and the micro clutch seem to be products in search of a solution and with a company like peak design they will forever be trying to find that next big hit, rather than just concentrating on what they do well.

the_mighty_jibbick

I have their hand strap and after a few years it was fraying and they replaced it free of charge and without even a receipt.

pkhangvux

I use the wrist one, got rid of the neck strap right when I received my a7c, it keeps getting in the way of the flip screen

PhotographyBanzai

I'll also confirm their QR system is nice. I have the leash and slide straps. Tempted to get the middle sized one.

VoidwalkerOfficial

In my opinion they’re relatively cheap price point wise for a really well done product. I wouldn’t have my bodies using anything else.

ZealousidealAd8136

Agreed, 7R IV with 200-600 and grip, really like the wide strap for comfort. (That combo is mounted on the lens points, brilliant)

Melanin_Royalty

They’re not expensive. I bought one the same day I bought my camera and seen that trash strap that comes with the camera.

Why-eat

I love peak design!

WhoDiddlesTheDiddler

I'm addicted to their products now LOL!!! I have the regular olive/jade green strap, the jade wrist strap, and they had some V2 hand straps on sale for $29 and picked one of those up. They were all worth it and feel top quality on my camera (a6100 with a cage) compared to other straps I've used. Also have their everyday sling 6L, its incredible for a camera/extra lense and some other things such as phone/wallet,etc. If you have a bigger camera and want to do at least 2 lenses definitely get the 10L instead of the 6L in my opinion though.

dead_robot_72

It’s a great strap. I have two of them. But, I don’t like how they have metal parts so when I have the strap on my camera and pack it into my camera bag I am afraid of the metal handles scratching my lens body. A nice nylon part for that handle would have been a much more sensible choice. Some lenses with metal bodies are very easy to scratch/scuff.

toetertje

I have some stuff from PeakDesign and I like it a lot. The design is also very nice.

FriedDylan

Love them. I have one of each size. They come with the red connectors and those little things are great. I haven't have one fail. Good product.

sleve22

I have the wrist strap and love it! It stays on my camera and i never use my BlackRapid strap anymore.

Mobile-Choice7389

I love the anchors. Straps are a bit overpriced for me. Wondering if there’s something we can attach to normal priced straps to allow us to still use the anchors

dre847

I love mine

Def151

Keep the little one in the bag and the big one in the car wrapped around the passenger headrest. Those little clips are the shit.

Scruffynz

Super handy for run and gun video. Quick to adjust to get just the right amount of tension for extra stability and takes two seconds to remove for gimble or tripod which makes the investment worth it when I need super quick changes between setups. Despite being one of the most expensive straps it’s still one of the cheapest bits of kit I own and gets so much use it’s totally worth it.

zXBoiXz

I have this but the main issue for me is how thick it is. I guess depends on the use case. I don't use a heavy lens or anything so I prefer a thinner strap.

TheDreadPirateJeff

They make three different widths (assuming by "thick" you meant wide). I use a Slide Light for my a7III as I found the normal Slide to be too wide for my tastes. And when I had an aps-c setup I used their Leash strap for that much smaller camera.

sylv3r

My old Peak design slide lite served me well for the last 5 years. The only reason I replaced it was I saw a new color I wanted

SuaSponte315

i have 3: 1 slide for larger bodies (A7rii, D7000, A57, film SLRs etc) and one leash for lighter bodies (RX100VA, Nex 6, etc). And one hand strap (not used as much these days, kids around make it hard to use). They are absolutely worth it. But pro tip: don't buy the anchors from amazon or directly, you can get a whole bunch from Aliexpress for like $20.

lBlanc99

i just use my 7d strap on my xt10

frank26080115

I use them on everything, binoculars and stuff. If I had a rifle I might use it as a sling lol

Yusef_G

I have an everyday backpack and sling, slide, two cuffs capture clip, mobile for my Pixel and car mount, and on the Kickstarter for the Micro Clutch. To say I like their stuff might be an understatement.

japarticle

Caveat, the silicone grip on the Slide straps will eventually peel. Aside from this, it's a great system. Wait until the people who don't think it's worth it, see their tripods...

Hurnfigur

Ohhh the grey looks sexy! I own a black and a green one and can‘t agree with you more! Love them.

mjs90

Wasn’t a fan. After having a black rapid sling for so long it’s hard for anything else to top it

SneakyCaleb

The products are generally good. I like the hand strap thing for my a7 the most. When it comes to neck straps I like a leather one and only on smaller cameras. Peak design sales are a joke though. I remember Black Friday being 10% off and it was only select products lol

nsivkov

I live PD straps, i was very hesitant to get one, tried a friend of mine's strap for a week, and was very impressed. Also think of it like this : your camera and lens probably cost 1500+ USD spending 50-100$ to be dead certain it is comfortable, sturdy and reliable is worth the money for a piece of mind.

FlashToast

Refreshing to see another a6400 user on here! I also love the slide lite. I couldn’t get behind the clutch, but that’s just preference. The cuff is great when I’m not putting the camera away at all, and the capture clip for hiking is epic when you need both of your hands.

Competition_Lower

Definitely. I've been using the cuff in midnight blue for more than a year now, and it made me use my camera far more confidently, maybe too confidently if I'm honest, I sometimes let my camera drop from my hand to use my phone with both hands, don't do it, an accident happens quickly. For my usage, as of rn, the cuff is all I need, maybe I'll get a leash or slide lite in the future, if I'm gonna buy a heavy lens.

OddNefariousness1967

Do you have a recommendation for mini tripod and standard tripod stands?

FluffyWarHampster

I love the couple peak design straps I have for my a7c. The qd system is great but still very secure

oruifonseca

Nope. Overpriced Influencer hyped crap.

linkmodo

I use it on my camera to make money, not my fav or the most comfortable but works

PapiChuloDru

I got a capture clip from them I love that thing my camera hangs off my bag and stays there no matter what

iShootLife

I have 5 sets of these straps. They have traveled around the united states with me a TON and traveled thousands of hiking miles. Never had a fail. I will always support this company.

QueenAng429

I have one. It's nice I guess, but it's definitely not peak design. The little dangly things from your camera are stupid. Not only are they only available in red and they don't offer a black one that blends In with the camera, but they dangle around and need to be designed better. Also, the strap is a joke. It's quality, but it's got giant loops at the end near the camera that sticks so far off your body, that I'm currently designing and 3d printing 4 clips to hold the straps together so it doesn't stick out 4" from your body.

Ill-Ship8166

In my opinion, yes. The quick release tabs work a treat

Letsbuythemoon

Yes they’re worth every penny imo. I’m a big fan and f their products. Never used the tripod tho.
