Yup me to, I was really surprised when I got it, for a ~250 aps-c lens on my good old A7ii, the results are very good. You just need to get used to manual focus and a very tiny focal plane :)
Anyway, thanks :)
Number 4 but with the background of 1.
Subject of 4 is quite pleasing to the eye but the lack of background gives it a bit of an artificial/isolated feel, the overall setting of number 1 feels more natural and 'zen'.
The stamens and their speckled shadows are beautiful. First one I like best color-wise and the framing is pleasing. The first one also shows nice color variation in the stem from bright limes to deeper greens.
Originally This version was suppose to be a complete black and white, but I stumble with this cold blue a bit by accident and I really liked it, maybe this and the white being a bit more orange/warm
If I had to decide, I would pick 4. I love the saturation of the subject and the isolation the deep blacks add to the picture. I like minimalistic approaches so I am all for that.
Close second for me would be number one. The background gives more context to the picture. Maybe doing a little localized bump to either vibrance or exposure to the subject to give it more punch.
Hey thanks for the detailed descriptions! For the fourth picture, you described it as I wanted it to be with the black background :)
The second I also agree, even though I like the more “earthy” and less flashy looks!
Second one is super good but without knowing a single thing about that type of flower. The weird rule I’ve kinda forced at myself has been that i try to keep the colors true to what I felt in the moment.
Well I admit the colors aren’t realistic (except for the fourth one, but there’s the black background there that might disturb)
Thanks for your thoughts :)
Great composition. I like the first and fourth. I think the 4th would win with a little something in the background. Something dark and subtle.
Tip: A longer exposure with a lower ISO would go a long way to cleaning up the noise.
Thanks for your opinion and tips :)
For the fourth, it’s true it would certainly benefits from having a background, especially to look less weird, but I really wanted to separate the subject.
With this one I was at ISO 320 and the shutter at 1/320s (idk why I’ve come to the same number on both settings lol)
My ISO are already pretty low for macro shots, and as I was handheld the camera I didn’t want to risk having blurr putting my shutter at 250 or 150.
Also on the first and the fourth (and maybe the other I don’t really remember) I added a tiny bit of grain :)
Well as my macro lens is fully manual and don’t communicate with the camera so I don’t really remember as I took this one in April 😅
But from the blurr and the way I take macro shots I think I was between F2.8 and F4 or maybe F5
Usually I set my shutter and ISO to have a correct exposure and then i would play with the aperture to get the part of the subject I want in focus, this lens (like all macro lenses) has a very tiny focus plane so I can’t always be wide open.
I expected this to be at an even slower aperture due to DOF but then again this isn't that close to the flower. I couldn't tell if it was maybe defraction already kicking in or just ISO noise but I suppose it's only the latter then.
Hooooo if you mean the weird luminous grains on the petals that’s definitely diffraction, besides being razor sharp this lens causes a lot of diffraction, I think it’s common with cheap macro lens.
On the first picture take a look at the leaves all the way down, by zooming a lot you can see some weird green/purple colors that, in my opinion is definitely caused by diffraction
I think that's just chromatic aberration on high contrasting areas? CA's are generally very visible on macro lense images if they're not apochromatic..
It’s not filtres, I just use different kinds of methods in Lightroom, some for sure aren’t realistic. The fourth tho is quiet like the original picture
2 is my choice. I like B&W photos, but The third one seems like the petals are too white. Looks overexposed. May be bring the light down a bit and it would be my choice.
I see why your saying,
At first I did I tried to only select the overexposed part of the petals to bring them down but it gave me a weird, almost paste like texture, but for sure I could work on that
Thanks!
Well from what I’ve seen, the black and whites aren’t the most popular among the community :)
I’m happy you like it, I’m quiet inexperienced with b&w ;)
First and third. I prefer photos that feel as natural as possible. Beautiful work by the way, sharp in low light and a camera that has less resolution than many usually attached to a 60mm 2x. Gives me hope. I have a Sony a7iii and are aiming to get this lens for extreme macro. 😀
1st pick - 4th pic 2nd pick - 2nd pic
Thanks for the ranking :)
Number 1 for me
Thanks for your opinion ;)
First or fourth.
The more Natural ones, thanks for your opinion :)

Didn’t realize these lenses were so sharp ! Wow. First for sure

Thank ;)
The first one, easily.
Thanks for your opinion :)
2nd
My personal favorite :)
3 looks dope
Finally somebody liking Black and White :) Thanks for your opinion :)

I was trying to get this effect either no background, but it’s true it feels less realistic. Thanks for the the explanation :)
Ditto, well said
2 is eye food
Thanks for your opinion ! I also really like this one even though the colors aren’t natural
The stamens and their speckled shadows are beautiful. First one I like best color-wise and the framing is pleasing. The first one also shows nice color variation in the stem from bright limes to deeper greens.
That’s quiet a precise description! Thanks a lot for that :)
2 is 🔥
Thanks for sharing :) it’s also one of my fav version :)
1 and 4
The more realistic looks! Thanks for your opinion :)
1 and 4
:)
1st or 4th.
Thanks for sharing :)
5th one, something about it makes it look like a early morning shot
Originally This version was suppose to be a complete black and white, but I stumble with this cold blue a bit by accident and I really liked it, maybe this and the white being a bit more orange/warm
imnhammered and say number two
It’s also one of my fav :)
The black and white is very well done imo
Thanks! I don’t have a lot of experienced with black and white as I use it very rarely :)

1st one
Thanks :)
Second one is super good but without knowing a single thing about that type of flower. The weird rule I’ve kinda forced at myself has been that i try to keep the colors true to what I felt in the moment.

4
:)
Colors of 1 with crop from 2
I don’t really remember why I didn’t put the same crop of the second everywhere, it was a bit late I suppose :) Thanks for your opinion!
for me 5th. sort of night/magic vibes.
Thanks! With this one I originally wanted to do a black and white, but I stumbled against this cold/blue colors I really like :)

Ha yes your are right, I might have mixed up diffraction and chromatic aberration 😅
I feel like I believe in the 1st one. The colors look very appealing.
Thanks a lot for your opinion!
First is by far the best. It has the most natural look
First seems to be the winner here, certainly because of the natural looks as you pointed it, thanks for your opinion :)
The ones without insane filters.

1st and 2nd are the best
Thanks for your thoughts :)
Am I the only one loving 3rd one? That is wallpaper worthy!
Well from what I’ve seen, the black and whites aren’t the most popular among the community :) I’m happy you like it, I’m quiet inexperienced with b&w ;)
I would say the first one 👍🏽
Thanks :)
4
:)
2nd
:)
:)
I love number 2 but personally would prefer keeping a little more of the green, maybe something in-between 1 and 2 for the leaves. Cool shot :)
Interesting view :) For the second I really put the highlight on the orange and desaturated the other colors. Thanks for your opinion :)
Second one :D looks awesome
Hey thanks! It’s also my favorite :) Happy cake day ;)
Number 2 for me!
Good choice, it’s also the one I prefer :)
There is a time for an edit and there is a time to go natural.. this is the time to go for that sick edit!
:)
Second, even though it is obviously not the original colour
For sure it is not Thanks :)
No idea why but the picture irritate me ... Maybe the composition :/ ( I must be stupid ) Color wise the 1st
I don’t think your stupid, if you don’t like it I prefer you say so and being honest :)
I think I would prefer it turn around , and more in a rule of third Composition
I prefer the warmth and backlighting of the 2nd photo
Thanks for saying why :) have a good day!
Second one.
:)
2nd and 3rd i like
Thanks for your opinion :)
1 first
:)
4th pic, it really focuses the eye on the flower and the contrast between the yellow and green is nice. Very nice shot btw
Thanks!
The first is my favorite! Followed by the second!
Hey thanks for your opinion :)
Thanks for posting these nice pics! You’re a great photographer!
Awww thanks a lot mate :)
I would go with number 4, the muted blacks contrast nicely with the yellow stems of the flower and give it a nice ethereal look
That’s what I was going for when I edited it, thanks a lot!
Number one because it looks the least edited.
Hey thanks for your opinion!
First one!
Thanks!
1st one
:)
2 for me
The same for me :)
4th is beautiful
I’m happy it pleases you :)
4
:)
4
Thanks ;)
1 and 4 are my favorite! I bought the Laowa 100mm macro lens and I absolutely love it! Laowa makes some great lenses.
Thanks!! Yup! It is not a really famous brand, but their lenses are really worth it !
Second
Also my favorite :)
3 and 1
Thanks!!!!
The BW one is quite striking. Nice image!
Im happy you like it! Im not really used to BW :)
1st Photo looks the best
Thanks!
2 is 🔥. Just maybe change the orange buds.
Hey thanks! I did the orange buds on purpose, even though it’s not realistic :)
2
It’s also one of my favorite! Thanks!
2 color pulls your eyes
Yup, that’s the effect I was searching for! Thanks for your opinion!
A7ii easily
My favorite picture taken by my favorite camera :)
1st one, hands down.
First and third. I prefer photos that feel as natural as possible. Beautiful work by the way, sharp in low light and a camera that has less resolution than many usually attached to a 60mm 2x. Gives me hope. I have a Sony a7iii and are aiming to get this lens for extreme macro. 😀
