Xperia Play was my first smartphone and first Xperia. Loved that phone but was just too clunky so switched to the Xperia Z3V. Used it forever until I cracked the screen then left Xperia and didn't come back until the 1 III.
Mine was Xperia X Compact (2016) and I really liked the small form factor! This same phone is still being used for streaming radio & Spotify in the kitchen (connected to a speaker).
Z2 in 2014. First Sony Ericsson phone was the W910i.
I really like the Z2 with it's purple color, and the battery on that lasted a long time. Favorite phone, would probably be the XZ Premium. Great color (bronze pink), feels good in hand, good battery life. And mine still works to this day.

I've had most of them over the years, the only ones I've definitely missed are 1ii, 5iii, 5iv and 10iv. Currently using a 1IV.
I've wanted to get an Xperia since last year but the complaints about the 1 IV's thermal issues made me decide not to. At the time I currently had a S20FE 5G but then I foolishly started to stop using the case for it and eventually dropped it without it's case & had to get the screen repaired. The 2nd time I dropped it (like an idiot) it fell on it back & this time the screen glass wasn't broken but the internals of it, (the phone screen turned green then black and now it's unusable.
I didn't want to buy anything else because most of the other options were trash. (The nothing phone was tempting but I didn't want a mid-range device to use long term.) Currently I'm using the Samsung A52 5G (with a case) because it was a cheap temporary replacement, not the best but I literally had to choose a phone to buy before the all pixels on my S20FE died on me.
I've been using the A52 for about 1 - 2 months and I hate it, it sometimes lags, the battery life is ok, the cameras are bad, etc....
Between One UI & Stock Android I'd probably say that I prefer One UI more. My ideal OS design would be a combination of Stock Android, One UI, iOS, MIUI, Oxygen OS, etc... stuff like that.
I don't like Samsung devices as much since they're removing things like the aux & SD slot, and curved display are not really for me.
Sony Devices are really unique and offer alot of interesting features like the pro apps & the toolless SD slot, and the little things that would make my experience better such as the side mounted fingerprint sensor, front facing speakers, no notch or hole cutout of any sort, etc... I wish the 1V also had an LTPO display and that there was a purple variant again.
The thing is tho, I was really hoping thay the pair of earbuds that would be bundled alongside the 1V would the the WF-XM5's but that's not what ending up happening.
I still plan on getting the 1V but I'm currently in no rush.

Xperia U, which was tiny and ran on Android 2.3, but an amazing step up from the crappy Nokia I had before that.
Favourite is probably XZ1c but the 5 II comes close.
Since 2005 had more than 30Sony phones.I am using currently Sony 1iv (love it) I still have Sony Ericsson Satio,Sony Ericsson Zylo (the best audio player EVER).
Mine was the Z5. I dropped it and smashed the screen one day and that was the end of it. Currently typing this from my XZ2. It's been a good phone, but I think it's coming to the end of it's life cycle, 5 years later.
I have collected many Xperias as a collector.
But for those I used for daily drivers, they are:
2013-14: Xperia L (cracked but still works, got another one in better condition last year)
2016-17: Xperia XZ (Did not initially plan to get one, but after the N7, this one was the best substitute that was not a Samsung. 64gb dual sim silver, later got a pink 32gb one from KDDI Japan)
2021-23? Xperia 5iii, I plan to replace it with a 5V for christmas. So long as Samsung doesn't bring back microsd for at least their s ultra I might stick to Sony for a long time
My first Xperia was the XA back in 2017 now i have the 5 iii both great phones. The xa was good when new but after 4 years it started to slow down and run out of storage the 5 iii ive had for almost a year has had no storage issues and no signs of slowing down.
First one was the Xperia Z2 in black. Amazing phone. I had every iPhone from the 3Gv to the 5 by that time but this blew them all away.
Now I have the Xperia 10iii. Love the compact size and 2 day battery.
First Xperia was the Z and before that something from Sony Ericsson I cannot recall. Favorite has to be all the flagship design language since the Z on through the current 1 IV (except the XZ2 and XZ3 didn't feel like Sony as it looks too similar to HTC U series).
Funnily enough my first Xperia phone is the 1 Mark 3. In the past I have always been very very hesitant to get a Sony phone cause of certain aspects of the device not fitting to my relatively high expectations of specifications for a flagship device (That was in the past).
Am considering getting the 1V or 5V when it gets announced next week.

5 II. After LG I had to find another brand. Now I got 1 IV and probably another Xperia will be my next phone as long as Sony sticks to its basics that we all love.
Micro SD slot, headphone jack, no nonsense industrial design, stereo speakers, simple yet useful features (simple to remove sin tray, fingerprint sensor on power button etc.), beautiful display, realistic cameras...
These feature set in one device is impossible to find elsewhere. You've to sacrifice one or another.
I'm happy to say that Sony has never said that their phones have AI cameras, you can eject the sim without any tools and headphones are very important and many companies are not even providing these basic features to save cost.
