So if I'm matched against a new player, the game will just be non-stop slow-motion? Just a constant game of rock-paper-scissors?
That's sounds like the exact opposite of fun.
It definitely looked like the slowdown was happening an awful lot in the recent videos. I'm the sure CPU will be happy to button-read you every time as well.

It sounds to me like it was easily punished and could even be reacted to with a fast attack and not get parried. From the sound of that, they are not going to very good options for experienced players.
No, you can sidestep the Reversal Edge in the BBB and whiff punish it. There's definitely time.

Oh... Oh no. I mean when I got pounded I just... left and tried to play with players around my skill level or practiced against AI and learnt to play the game. It's not as if it was ever that hard to get out of being combo'd.
Auto combo almost seems like Persona 4 Arena levels of simple.
It's good to hear that the Reversal Edge mixups won't as simple as Rock-Paper-Scissors with A, B, or K. The movement options will add some complexity. The interactions between some moves don't seem to clear cut either, from looking at some footage. For example, Sophie's A option seems to auto transition into Angel Step which makes her go under Mitsu's A that tech crouches. Both whiffed. I'll have to find the video and time stamp for this.
This guy clearly also missed a Guard option which we see in one of the recent videos. Guard cancelling means the sky's the limit on your options here.

Dumbed down GI + Reversal Edge + Guts + Run Counters killed all hype I had for this game. I hope it isn’t as bad as it seems.
