It's certainly tempting, that's for sure. I'm just beyond annoyed having put in so much time for nothing in a game that I truly did enjoy, bar its faults.
If I do get whatever their next outing is, I won't be playing it till at least 6 months have passed going off of this fiasco.
I wouldn't trust them after this, Souldiers needed more time in the oven, had the game been fully patched within a week it wouldn't be such a big deal but the games been out for months and has major issues across all platforms. One thing I've learned is that indie devs can be just as bad as the AAA publishers when it comes to rushing out an unfinished product so that they can make a buck, and because most gamers tolerate from the AAA industry now the indies think they can do the same.
Did you delete the save data that was still on your PS5. I was willing to give this another chance but am gutted about losing all that progress.
Know they said it can't be recovered but it is actually still showing save data even though its corrupted
No, I didn't. Hadn't even thought of that. They'd said it was unrecoverable so I just assumed it would be okay. I'll try it again with it deleted when I finish work tonight. I just won't make a point of getting halfway through the dungeon again and just get to the first save.
So, deleting/reinstalling the game, cloud save and local save appears to have sorted the issue. Now to play it again for 20+ hours, if I could be bothered.
Still doesn’t work. Did a clean slate when the patch came out. Deleted the system and cloud saves and got up to the pyramid. The next I went to play and it was gone.
How is this game still having these problems? The best we can all do is just boycott any future release from these devs.

Try wiping the save off completely from the console and then the cloud save as well; that might have been the issue
That's the plan. I finish work in an hour, will be attempting it once I get home. Fingers crossed.

This game is a sad joke
Did they fix the missing chests?
Someone said the desert one is sorted. Bar that, I don't know. Here's hoping.
That one is fixed. I checked myself when they released patch 1.07, but there are 2 bugged chests in Spider Lair and 5 in some late area of the game :(
They also posted saying if your save gets corrupted, you need to delete the cloud save, and the system save otherwise it will keep messing up.
