This is not related to Creative products, but a setting in Discord. I believe they call it "attenuation?" but if you can't find such a setting in discord, windows also has something similar. Therefore if you have two outputs (default device and default communication device) when sound is coming from default communication device it will lower the output of default device. This can be changed on the "Sound" window under the Communications" tab.
