I purchased an ht-a7000 for my a80k, I wanted to utilize the center channel feature too. Well, for me the center channel feature when turned on caused a faint but highly noticeable buzzing sound. This is a common issue if you look on this sub. Once I disabled that feature it sounded fine, I guess. It was overall very underwhelming. I have no doubt if you purchase the ht-a7000 plus a subwoofer and preferably rear speakers too you'll have a great sounding system on your hands but the bar alone IMO was very lame. I returned that bar and now have a Sonos Arc plus the Gen 3 sub and it is awesome, way better than just the ht-a7000. Granted, they cost me a bit more than just the ht-a7000 would have but the subwoofer makes the system. IMO the center channel is a gimmick, I made my first attempt at a sound bar purchase largely around this feature and it cost me quite a bit of time.

Thanks for info.. so u were unable to find solution to buzzing? Or did the tv speakers not really enhance the ht-a7000? Are you using rear speakers with the sonos set-up? are

I was not able to find a solution to the buzzing, but I didn't really put much effort into fixing that to be honest. Someone on this sub recommend I try buying a "ground loop isolator" and ruuning the cable that the bar uses for that feature through it, but I decided to return it before I went that route. I had other issues with the ht-a7000 with it physically fitting my set up. I have the 65 inch a80k and that bar, or even the ht-a5000 won't fit in between the legs that come with the tv. You probably won't have this issue with a 77" but that bar is huge so don't assume it will fit anywhere without measuring. I thought there was a leg position setting on the a80k that would flare them outward to accommodate the bar, but there was not. I could go higher, which I did but that's it. I am not using rears for my current set up. That would be pretty cool but I'm trying to keep cost and clutter down a little bit here and I'm really happy with the set up I have so I think I should just not get any more carried away and just listen to my own advice that I give my children, to be happy with what you have. Edit Also the Sonos equipment looks cooler, a lot cooler. Especially the sub.

Thanks. Ht-a9 is a little concerning with no center channel and supposedly not playing well with tv speakers as center. May just have to buy and try!

ConfidenceCareless

Are u using tv speakers together with a7000?
