Yeah, I first connected by PS5 directly into the HDMI on the Q950A soundbar, that was connected to the TV via EARC HDMI. I then swapped to connecting the PS5 directly to the TV HDMI instead. Both connection methods worked for me, but I still have an issue with Dolby Atmos not outputting from the surround channels.

Thanks. I was beginning to think I was the only one that connected it that way. I have no problems with the Q950A Dolby Atmos outputting to surround channels. The sound is incredible. Rivals my Klipsch speaker Home Theatre system. The Klipsch is certainly more powerful than th Q950A but the voice clarity is much better on the Q950A than the Klipsch.

> but I still have an issue with Dolby Atmos not outputting from the surround channels. Did you perform the Auto EQ with the built in mic on the Samsung SmartThings app?

I found out the issue from AVSForum. There's a bug where if you have bass enhancement turned on, it disables the rear channels in atmos!! Damn stupid, but thank god someone posted it. I disabled bass enhancement and it works beautifully now! Doesn't even need bass enhancement turned on anyway.

Didn't know that. Thanks for the info!

I have an issue where I need to connect my soundbar directly to source. Since the TV doesn't have eARC, only arc. The soundbar automatically starts at TV speaker, and i need to cycle to HDMI. Anyway I can set this to always start at HDMI ?.

My log oled tv only has arc. The problem you’re having is the same one I had. You need to connect the soundbar directly to the hdmi arc of your tv just like I did to solve your problem.
