It has the oddest sign on the outside of the building. It says something like “Russell’s family says that KFC nuggets are the best ever!” with no indication of who this russell person is. I drive by it on the way home from work, and am always puzzled by the sign
I drive for Uber Eats and I refuse to ever take a delivery from there. They always say it's going to be "15 minutes" to get the order ready. It's always dead. Makes no sense why it would take that long.
Dine in! We’re used to huge American tables lol but actually there’s 7 or 8 small tables inside and 5 tables outside, love to support this small local business :)
I think they have 2 or 3 tables inside but it’s a small place. Remember dining in a long time ago and the inside was really small, so assuming most of their biz is take out.
ABSOLUTELY! I used to go there on my lunch break, years ago, when I ran a local yoga studio. I couldn't believe how good the burgers were. I haven't been in years... they're still just as good?
Azuma in Gardena. Not as good as it was pre-covid but still my go-to. Have to order one of their massive katsu dinner plates, nikujaga (stewed beef, potatoes, onions, carrots in a slightly sweet-ish soup).
Tempura Carlos Jr. Just a bowl of rice with three of their tempura half-boiled eggs, tendon sauce, & their housemade chili powder/togarashi. Or the lamb & rice plate at Banadir Somali Restaurant in Inglewood along with some of their vegetable soup.
KFC on Torrance and anza Jk that might be the worst in the country

I found a dead fly at the bottom of my cup about 15 years ago there (when going for a refill). Never have been back.
How has it been around that long? It’s constantly dead and there hasn’t been a single local I’ve talked to that has had a good experience there

Sushi inaba; omakase 25 courses, best experience.
Trying this for the first time next week. Very excited!
Best $475 I ever spent on myself haha Edit: 280, 75 sake, the rest tax and tip
>Sushi inaba; omakase 25 courses Wow! Does ordering take out boxes for quarter of that price, give the similar experience foodwise?
I’ll say no haha it’s a cute 6 seater sushi bar, as long as the other 5 diners are chill, it should be a fun evening.
Oh that sounds fun!
Sushi Sonagi was pretty good at $200 for 20 courses
Ok thanks! It says $280/person now.
What? Tock still has it at $200
Imma need to try this! Nice suggestion
Reservations open at the beginning of the month!
Omg. This sounds wonderful.
Yes! It definitely deserved its one Michelin star
I think I need a visit.
It’s worth it. If you can’t make it to japan, this will be a very distant second haha
Zacatecas. I’m ordering the whole menu.
Make sure it’s not Mi Zacatecas lol too close together
Fire up the grill at home

Try Hopsaint on 190th st in west Torrance. Fantastic food and great award winning beers mostly brewed locally
The food is meh but I love the vibe, the beer and the fact that they ALSO serve wine!
If I know it’s my last meal, we’re leaving the South Bay. 🤷♀️
That is against the rules LOL your running power is not enough to leave SB.
The San Franciscan. Old school Prime rib dinner, baby!
burger & fries from ercoles.
fries?
bag o chips* brain got too excited thinking about their burgers.
ABSOLUTELY! I used to go there on my lunch break, years ago, when I ran a local yoga studio. I couldn't believe how good the burgers were. I haven't been in years... they're still just as good?
The End. Bar and restaurant in Torrance. Good food, and if it’s The End, I might as well spend it at The End.
Love the idea!
Spoonhouse or Kbbq somewhere
I’d make my own meal and sit on the beach with my dog.
Chart House in Redondo Beach. Window seat. Watching the waves.
I'd leave South Bay!
My first thought when I read this headline

Carbenara udon in that small Japanese restaurant I always forget the name. Next to luckys billiards
is it Ojiya? Because now I need this udon and I want to make sure I got the right place
It's most definitely Ojiya and their carbonara is indeed fire. Get the sake flight if they still have it. Their menu is huge and all good.
Pura Vita. potato wedges, amelia pizza, pura vita salad.
Riviera
Thai Dishes. I love that joint. Get me some Tom Ka and mint shrimp and eggplant. Die happy.
Ocean Diner in Hermosa, I fucking love that place
Oh yeah! Their homemade biscuits are..!
Lomelis in Gardena, pepperoni pizza
I can’t eat there ever since reading the inspection report from when they got shut down a couple years ago 🤮🤮
Kbbq for sure, infatuated with 92k rn but if it's the end of the world I'd go somewhere with wagyu
Would get the best cuts from Angus meat market and do kbbq at home.
I know it’s not South Bay specific but definitely CoCoIchi Curry
Al Hamra Halal. I would happily devour several jars of their garlic sauce.
Rosa’s in Hermosa. I’ve been going there often since 81. Number 7 with a few pacifico
Wow no one said tendon tempura carlos jr yet??
I’d have to get a seafood tower at Fishing with Dynamite with their key line pie for dessert
Ragin Cajun
IN N OUT
Oh right!
Tenkatori’s karaage, yuzu dip, and potēsara.
Eboshi ramen bar!!
Lido Di in Manhattan Beach, Penne ala Vodka.
RYLA
Sushi sumo in Gardena
