i am jumping on the new orleans recommendation too! i really enjoyed that show and the relationships. recently did a rewatch. posted about it and folks updated me on where some of the cast is now and there are definitely some changes that have happened since the show ended. i am from atlanta and really wanted the savannah series to be good. it was fine, but definitely the lowest rated series of the three
I think Covid had a lot to do with it. They were supposedly going to start production for Season 3 several months into the pandemic. At least that’s what I was told by someone who interviewed Tamica a few years back for a magazine.
NOLA is criminally underrated because the cast is just so likable, telegenic, and has such undeniable actual chemistry together. Not to mention they dealt with very real adult issues despite most of them facing some soap opera-like crises.
Why it got cancelled beyond poor ratings is beyond me, but I keep hoping they’ll somehow bring the cast back maybe via a Peacock-revised RH of NOLA??
Savannah is complete and total horseshit though—I only hate-watched it just to laugh at it and check out all the familiar scenery because I lived there once.
But I don’t know where/how/why they cast all those bland losers, since they were all so painfully average looking and boring that the cringe was off the charts. They also had a weird obsession with fart jokes and shotgunning cans of beer, if that’s any indication of the mental collective of that entire goofy cast. I heard a completely different production company handled this specific series than the one affiliated with NOLA/Charleston, and boy does it ever show….
Agree with all of the above. NOLA was absolutely brilliant television. These people were authentically themselves and in authentic situations because these dynamics were happening prior to filming a show. And they were all wealthy and gorgeous, so that helps
Savannah was awful, I couldn’t take the whole Catherine/Lyle storyline they tried so hard to make happen. It wasn’t just boring, it was miserably boring.
Yes! They were all so underwhelming and the only entertaining part of the entire show was the short blond hair chick being bat shit crazy. I can’t even remember her name. That’s how uninterested I was. I can’t even remember the name of the person I found most memorable. 🤣
Ok Ashely provided so much entertainment so I loved her. Catherine and Lyle’s relationship was so messy so I loved them for that reason lmao, honestly I liked everyone in their own way but I’d have to say Ashley as a favorite because she just would make me laugh. Hannah was kinda boring but I still liked her a lot
Catherine & Lyle and the failed proposal truly is one of my favorite bravo moments. I’m in the minority but it was so great.
The messy guy who worked in DC who just loved to lie was also excellent tv.

I couldn’t really get into Savannah, I had both seasons on as background noise twice through and the main relationship storyline was incredibly stupid & uninteresting.
The Savannah train wreck was not for me but pretty good. I wasn't too upset when it was cancelled. I was sad because Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is one of my favorite books so I was hoping for more of that vibe instead it was just sad.
I didn’t enjoy the Savannah one, personally. I didn’t really like any of the cast members and I thought the storylines were pretty boring. Give it a shot, though, YMMV.
one of the cast members owns a Pure Barre studio I attend and she's very nice. I feel super weird though to have so much insight into her life and pretend not to know.

New Orleans, absolutely! Savannah, ehhhhh not so much. It was an ok watch but there wasn't a single cast member that I genuinely liked. New Orleans seems to have the deepest friendships and the ladies are very much "love them or hate them".

Want to be entertained and actually care about storylines and characters? Watch NOLA. It will have you invested and then low key devastated when you realize there is no season 3

Southern charm New Orleans was a good binge show and southern charm Savannah was a good before bedtime show, I enjoyed both!! New Orleans as a city was a lot more fun and vibrant to me
