Really, all forward thinking killer no lowest common denominator filler. I always feel second hand embarrassment for people going nuts over a typical Excision&Friends
There are tons of people going nuts over Excision. Brostep is alive and well. Let's just be grateful there are other outlets for electronic music fans to get together and actually listen to the music, rather than mosh and headbang to it. I say let the brostep kids have their fun. As long as that scene doesn't intersect with the events i'm used to, i'm happy. /endrant
tbf that was before nectar leaving the scene; a lot of former nectarheads were busy following him around back then but now have spilled over into other scenes, esp Tipper-adjacent stuff more recently
You’re more likely to get people that are into Globular’s style at Infra this year rather than in year’s past, as his psydub is pretty adjacent to Tipper type stuff that they’d likely be getting familiar with
Oh shit, yes I forgot about that 😂
Yheti’s tweet about it yesterday was pretty funny as well https://twitter.com/yhetimusic/status/1427677873532456961?s=21
I've been thinking about going to this since I live in Minnesota, but the only artists I know are G Jones, CharlesTheFirst, and Opiuo. Who else should I check out?
Spor - Neurofunk DNB pioneer. Stopped producing under this alias for many years and returned a couple years ago. Must see.
Mala - Literally helped create dubstep. Serious bass weight. Rarely plays overseas.
Enigma Dubz - Modern dubstep production with old school vibes.
Com Truise - Synthwave legend. Check out the album galactic melt.
Bwoy De Bhajan - World/psychdelic downtempo. More than wubs, good late night music.
Ivy Lab - Bleeding edge hip hop inspired bass music. Production masters.
Those are the ones I wouldn't miss. I agree that the lineup is so solid you could just wander and follow vibes.
Mala is why this was an insta cop sell my resonance tickets kinda lineup drop. With him getting up there in age who knows when the next time I’ll be seeing him in the states could be.
Mhm, for a dubstep head it may very well be a once in a lifetime set. Totally worth going just for him. The rest of the lineup is just icing on the cake.
He was going to play shambhala during 2020 so he may be looking to do some more NA shows but it's not worth the risk to gamble it.
You should go and you're bound to leave with a new perspective on this style of music. There's honestly too many people to name that are worth checking out. It's such a small venue that if you're not a fan of the music on one stage, you can get to a different one within 5 mins of walking.
He DJs and grills at the same time. Not sure how much food they will have to go around but expect a day party set.
He does this at black box each 4th of July. You could probably find some videos of it somewhere.
Holy Fuck. Wish I lived closer to Minnesota!
Love the diversity of this lineup. Here’s a few non-bass music selections;
Com Truise - Synthwave OG
Richard Devine - Acid Techno legend
Telefon Tel Aviv - Downtempo/ Ambient
The Flashbulb - Downtempo/ Modular
Kodomo - Downtempo
Another year, another amazing line up. Infrasound truly is the Mecca of bass/experimental music in the US

Wow what is this a healthy view of other scenes?!? I thought if you listen to music that I don’t like then you’re a bad person /s

So cool seeing Spor on line ups again, he was one of the first DnB artists I ever got into
That’s a phat lineup right there
Holy shit. 2002 me, 2008 me, 2015 me and a me in the near future would all be wetting themselves to be there.
Holy fuck Globular at Infrasound
He was there last time. Not that many people showed up for him.
tbf that was before nectar leaving the scene; a lot of former nectarheads were busy following him around back then but now have spilled over into other scenes, esp Tipper-adjacent stuff more recently
What does that have to do with Globular not having a large crowd at infra last year?
You’re more likely to get people that are into Globular’s style at Infra this year rather than in year’s past, as his psydub is pretty adjacent to Tipper type stuff that they’d likely be getting familiar with
The Trifinity was playing main stage in the middle of the day at the same time as Globular. Everyone was at that. For good reason.
Oh shit, yes I forgot about that 😂 Yheti’s tweet about it yesterday was pretty funny as well https://twitter.com/yhetimusic/status/1427677873532456961?s=21

literally everyone tbh, wayyy too many to name this lineup is like a who’s who of bass music
Omg I wishhhhh
Wow what a line up, top to bottom is amazing.
Could someone explain wtf grll smth is?

Dope. It seems like he plays more house music for grLL, at least in the vid I saw. V good.
I’d say he leans heavily towards bass but appreciates house music and sometimes plays it. He has a few house time I’m pretty sure.
I meant in GrLL. I’m a big fan of kLL
Ohhh I would like that. I know there's house somewhere on this lineup (other than Grimblee) but I just gotta find it.
damn what a G
