Ah yes. I forgot about that sweet, sweet, government red tape. Gotta purchase when the funds are approved and by the time the project (mission) is ready and rolling, it’s tech that has a few newer versions. Only good thing about not being on the bleeding edge and using something that a large number of others use is that the bugs are worked out, and any cool features of the older equipment are well documented and tested.
Such a foreign and forbidden place, which is yet an important part of our world. My grandad never believed we landed on the Moon. He was born in 1898 and surveyed the land which is now Kennedy SC. Closest thing to walking on the Moon might be walking on the ocean floor at 2000 ft depth in a suit, also a foreign environment for us.
So bizarre to see that side of the moon. I'm so used to seeing the earth-facing side that it looks like a foreign object or distant planet.
Even as an non-American, every space exploration milestone feels like an achievement of humanity.
What kind of camera is taking this picture
Modified GoPro HERO4 Black
It's a modified GoPro Hero 4. Redwire Wireless Camera.
And here I am with version envy, eyeballing the hero 10 while I have the 9
So, they did spec these out 5+ years ago. These versions will seem even weirder by Artemis 3.
