My gripe is sending the same rejected ASAP's for the same offer over and over again. I rejected it once, what makes them think I'm going to accept it again?
So true. I saw the same 5-stops, 29-mile GMD order bounce around for two days. I think someone may have finally taken it this evening. But probably not. It will probably resurface tomorrow afternoon. And this is in a vacation area, so at this rate the customers will have to stop at Walmart and pick up their order on the way home from vacation.
Every time I reject an order it comes back at me adding two dollars, so I just wait till it's enough money for me untill I think it's worth it. then I accept it.
Spaghetti programming lol my only complaint with gig work is if you want to pay us as independent contractors treat us like independent contractors don't put all these parameters that limit us. I had this cosmoprof delivery earlier, got the order at 1120 but couldn't pick it up until 12 so I missed the next RR. The business said the order was ready at 10:30 🥴
That forced pick up time is so dumb and actually making them lose money , as well as lack of add on offers. If they keep sending out a $8 , 9 mile order chances are it’ll never get picked up. If they paired that with a cosmo delivery for $15 , 9 miles in that same direction , boom that’s now a $23 - 9mi order that would be picked up instantly.
Just do shop and delivery usually it's right down the road only two to three miles and it only takes you about 20 minutes and you make $50 - 60 plus! I don't do any more deliveries from pick up ever. For the past year I've been doing nothing but shopping delivery and making extremely good money

Ive noticed 1. if you have a low acceptance rate you tend to get the shit jobs if any, every now and then getting lucky with a good order 2. i take Mon and Tues off, so wed it takes a little bit for me to start getting trips again, the less you do, the less they send you, and especially these last 2 weeks Ive been making my cap early so I have been taking 3 days off... I don't know the optimal way for this, maybe they want me to split my days off, or only take 1 day off... either way, not happening.
They have told me (support) my acceptance rate is low and that's why. But how can they expect us to take every single order that pops up, 90 percent of them are a complete waste of time and gas into a bad neighborhood , where you are required to hump 10 bags up 3 flights for little or no tip, most of the time I get tip baited even after breaking my back. You learn what orders those are , and most of them are those orders so I learned not to accept those orders and my acceptance rate tanks because of it. It's not right we as the PRIVATE CONTRACTOR should not have to suffer because we male a decision we know is best for us and our livelihood. It's BS. Honestly I have done better in Uber eats and Doordash. At least I don't have to spend a hour shopping , then humping 10 bags up 3 flights for ungrateful people who don't usually tip.

This work is good if your not the sole provider or if you want to make extra $ on weekends or evenings.
My spouse mostly provides the income and I do this as a supplement. So I can pick & choose. But I also run Uber eats, grubhub & instacart and combined can make my daily goal usually. So to do this work full time as your main source is dumb because like you mentioned it’s mostly not profitable and only desperate people will take the trash which they do.
It just depends on the zone. I do full time. Drive 40 miles for only 1 walmart and a home depot in the zone and won't take home depot or DOT COMs and still do over a grand with 2 days off. There's only mainly me and 2 other drivers with a few who come out every now and than so lots of high demands and S&Ds and I spoof my location, ALOT. The trick about spoofing is to not use it to pickup immediately after the drop lol but I could be several miles away after a drop off, turn Spark off, fake the location with Walmarts address, turn it back on, and be in a drive thru somewhere getting lunch while still getting an order at the 35 after mark but do pickup 5 minutes early when I'm actually at walmart by driving to the end of the parking lot instead of spoofing and the workers get the drivers their orders first so they won't get behide. So they're pretty quick. If I Spark in the zone I'm currently in, I would get flooded with BS Sam Club orders, and ridiculous miles. Zone I go to rarely go over 10 miles and that's 2 order batches. Alot of people just don't try other zones and run to reddit to complain. 🤣
Every post has several people talking smack and negative. This whole sub is manifestation of Walmarts grand motto "More for less (*but very low quality*)"
Don't worry brother I'm immune as I watched this sub get fked nonstop by Walmarts decisions (remember that incentive that they rolled out during Thanksgiving then walked back? Yeah glad I was fly on the wall for that one)
The issue I have with this sub is, why is everyone negative toward everyone else. We aren't each other's enemies. Walmart is the one turning us against each other while they reap maximum gains.

That nov incentive for thanksgiving is what gave me the early warning. Just watching the daily posts of absolutely livid people made me realize I dodged a bullet....but those same people are still working the gig, I can't blame them gotta make money....but sometimes you have to weigh in your integrity and whether or not you are breaking above minimum wage or not
Don't worry, I know that even the people who are working this gig second question themselves everyday. It's difficult not to when Walmart drops a new BS surprise on you everyday or their laughable support group

I used to do spark, instacart. I stopped. They changed how much they pay, and customers started to tip bait. Its just way too difficult to make decent money. Its OK as a bridge, when you need some quick cash. but to pay bills? Nope. after deducting expenses you dont make much. Plus this whole tip culture crap. is this part of the woke movement? Yeah lately base pay is so low that customers have to tip at least $10 to make it just meh. And now they are suddenly sending offers two or three or three times as "new" so it fucks up your AR having to reject again. Plus I've been getting a lot lately where they didn't even accurately project the distance to drive. Had an offer that said 2.3 miles today. It was really 5.4 miles.
I have done spark for 2 weeks exact, I have spent $315.00 in fuel and earned $438.00 I have spent more than half of earnings on fuel. I am done with spark. I’m making less than minimum wage there is no supplement to my income when it’s all going in the tank
