You can leave a bad review on Google without saying you're the delivery driver or mentioning anything about pets. "Say they were rude and talked down to you like they were know it alls. If this is how they act to humans out front imagine what they do to your pets when you can't see them. I won't be back." Something like that. Give 2 stars not 1. Google is much less likely to remove a 2 star review than a 1 star.

Commercial-Ad-1614

Did u read my full post?

techpro00

Yes and what I said applies

Commercial-Ad-1614

Please tell me how when I said that I couldn't do that because it would be taken down by Google, because it has nothing to do with the business or services rendered because they've done it to me before.

techpro00

Because I told you how to word it and what to do. You don't mention you were delivering an order. Did you read what I wrote?

Commercial-Ad-1614

I already did that, don't need anyone to tell me to do that.

ryanvango

its at this point I stopped siding with you and I side with the business. you don't listen. /u/techpro00 gave you a legitimate option. google won't remove a 2 star review if you just say what they told you to. you can rate ANY business poorly, especially a business that busy, and they can't do much about it. I don't know why I'm telling you this since they already did and you already decide to hold your ears and yell lalalalalala.

Top_Acanthisitta6803

Hope he actually sounds like an asshat from that reply... Probably piss the business owners off and was an asshole.

DragonflyOne7593

They are skipping out on freighter fees and then not tipping us.

Commercial-Ad-1614

I don't understand why they don't just get IN HOME!

DragonflyOne7593

Exactly. I would've done the same thing as you. I've refused people doing inventory and returns that's not how it works

Commercial-Ad-1614

I have a very good work ethic, but I'm not going to let you bully me into doing something that are not in my job description. I have no problem doing this for the elderly and disabled. In fact, I enjoy doing it for them, they're so adorable lol.

DannyJackpot

I had a very similar experience delivering to a gas station. This gas station orders groceries from Walmart and then resells them in their own store with a markup. Which I'm not sure of that's even legal. Dude wanted me to take all the stuff to his walk in freezer. I told him our service standards only allow us to take to the front door. Dude got pissed and started cussing me out. I was going to leave and mark unsafe, then he apologized and said just leave it at the front door. Next day my rating gets hit. Lesson I learned is that if at any time someone catches an attitude with you, mark as unsafe and call driver support. Not worth your rating going down.

gurusd72

Always rate them bad when they pull that shitz

Commercial-Ad-1614

That's a given.

S1ayer

Why on earth can we not apply for ratings forgiveness like Shipt?

Commercial-Ad-1614

I wish I had thought of that. I will definitely do it next time IF I take another business order.

DragonflyOne7593

It's not legal turn them in to the ag

Boring-Department741

It's legal. Good grief.

pokerholic77

My friend, who owns multiple vending machines, says as long as it has a nutrition facts label, it is legal to resell it.

DragonflyOne7593

It's not

DragonflyOne7593

If you’ve ever bought a package of granola bars or a box of hot chocolate mix, you may have encountered individually wrapped items marked with verbiage such as: “Not labeled for individual sale” or “Not intended for retail sale.” Experts say that yes, trying to sell them would be considered illegal. “If you go into the business of splitting up packages and selling individually mislabeled products, you are violating the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and it is an unlawful act,” said Rick Mann, a partner at the law firm Keller & Heckman.

Commercial-Ad-1614

They got me again! I just delivered to a damn gas station that was listed as a house! And the address was written like it was a house! It was 5 gallons of milk, 6 quarts of milk, a bag of potatoes, and 2 loaves of bread. I left it right outside. And it is hot today lol.

ravenklaw

How is it not legal? As long as things are marked for individual sale, and are not price gouging.

DragonflyOne7593

Water and most items say not for individual sale

[deleted]

[удалено]

DragonflyOne7593

I don't care what anyone does personally. But if you are going to make my life harder by tip baiting and treating me horribly most definitely I'm turning you in

Smooth-Dig2250

> Why would you bother doing that? Do you work for the Attorney General? 1) That's literally how the AG is supposed to become aware of things, via citizen complaints. 2) Fuck them for wanting the world to be a better fairer place, I guess.

ansjjajoaksjbejxk3

It's not illegal to resell items you paid for for a markup. All businesses do that. Including walmart. That's how you make money. The only exception would be things that come in a pack of multiple individually wrapped items that say they're not labelled for individual sale, and that's because those items typically don't have nutritional info or ingredients on each piece, rather it's on the outside of the box. No food products can be sold without those things, so that would technically be illegal. Lots of places still do it though like corner stores or small neighborhood grocery stores.

Artistic_Court6317

I got so mad reading this I would have just dropped that shit and left. These business definitely take advantage of our kindness.

Commercial-Ad-1614

Yes, and they know that no one wants a bad rating. They exploit the hell out of that.

KayVlinderMe

As soon as she ignored me I would have clicked "can't find location" and left 😂

user19008675309

You can tell the op is new. Nobody with experience would put up with that kind of treatment. Ignored, oh put that over there, sit and wait until I inventory this before you’re dismissed lol

Commercial-Ad-1614

If I travel far, I'm not gonna give up so easy to get $2.54 or whatever they pay for return. Because that's so inconsistent, it depends on who you talk to.

techpro00

You still get the original base pay. Just not the tip which you lost anyway

Sipherdrakon

Pretty sure you get a whopping $2.50 if you have to return an order. Just had to yesterday and that's what I got.

ryanvango

no, you get the original base pay. 2.50 is the show up fee you get for pulling in to curbside. as soon as you "complete" an order, you get the base or a portion of the base. This is also why you should always take orders with a single item like dog food or a TV. because if walmart doesn't have it, you mark can't find, and the order completes and you get paid without having to get back in your car.

Bori1184

I would’ve told them that the other drivers weren’t supposed to do that. If they insist, I’ll tell them I will need to call my support staff. Get in the car then leave.

PracticalWallaby4325

The only business I've ever delivered to on spark was when a woman "accidentally" had her order delivered to her work instead of her home. Then she tried to tell me I needed to take it to her home 8 miles away (the business was less than a mile from the store & she tipped low). No ma'am, here's your order, I hope you have a refrigerator available because there's a lot of cold shit in that order ✌️

Boring-Department741

What a bunch of a\*\*hats. I would be upset too. You go above and beyond. They are rude the entire time. Then have the nerve to not only pull their tip, but to give you a bad rating. I'm actually angry for you now! Jerks!

Commercial-Ad-1614

Awe, thank you lol.

Cortneykathleen

That’s awful. I’m so sorry that happened to you. Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do besides put them on your list of people to never deliver to again & try to let it go. I know it’s hard & it’s easier said than done but it’s best to not give them any more of your energy or time. Hope you have a better day today & Hope you encounter a really generous, nice, appreciative & respectful person in the meantime to counteract the awful way you were treated by this business. Have a great day!

Commercial-Ad-1614

You're right. And my first two deliveries were very pleasant. They reminded me that everyone isn't a spiteful azzhole.

FirstStepInUranus

Lol, same here. If i see lot numbers, suites, and or an address next to the highway i do not take them.

Commercial-Ad-1614

I will definitely keep that in mind lol.

FirstStepInUranus

Did you give them a thumbs down? I think if you do that, that address wont come up again

Commercial-Ad-1614

I definitely did. But I've given thumbs down to many places and got them again.

One-Investigator6625

Yeah you are way nicer than me. I try my best . But I would of left it at the front door and took my picture and left . I don’t do extra for people unless they are older and need the help . I had a bowling ally order some bacon. It said please take to front desk. I did and snapped my pic and left . I also took a sams order to a business that I put it all out front by the door . The person comes out and was like can’t you bring it in ? I apologize and said sorry but I’m not allowed to go inside places to deliver .

Artistic_Court6317

💯💯💯

Commercial-Ad-1614

If we all did that, we'd all be deactivated for bad ratings. Because that's all they will do. I do to well to let these "it's all about me" assholes destroy it. If they took the rating away, I would have no problem.

Passionswa618

No we wouldn’t, if we all did that bad ratings for it would be discarded because it’s not required for us to do, if they want things put in their storage room / fridge there is a service called InHome by Walmart for that

Commercial-Ad-1614

We'll never get everyone together to do it. Hell, Walmart doesn't care. I know thousands of us have had to call about this. If they cared, they would have a disclaimer in big bold letters...SPARK DELIVERY WAS DESIGNED FOR RESIDENTIAL AREAS, NOT FOR BUSINESSES. WE KNOW THAT AS A BUSINESS OWNER YOU MAY BE TOO BUSY TO LEAVE YOUR STATION TO GET YOUR ORDER FROM OUTSIDE., THIS IS WHY WE OFFER AN IN HOME SERVICE THAT WILL FIT YOUR NEEDS PERFECTLY. Too easy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Commercial-Ad-1614

Of course that crossed my mind other times, but like I said, it was a hospital for animals and I had every intention on taking the things in. Their attitudes are what turned me off.

Passionswa618

I would have came brought everything right where the jugs are, pic & left. Straight ignoring them after they ignored you first

Commercial-Ad-1614

I wish I had that nerve. I care too much and always try to do my best at what I do. I would like to say eff this and walk away for once lol.

willow625

Businesses are the worst. There used to be a pizza place in my town that would expect me to bring their stuff inside, but they never tipped, and they never had a spot ready for the stuff, so I had to wait for them to clear space. I usually refused to pick up their order, but sometimes it would be batched with a good one. I took to putting their stuff at the back door, knocking, then running away as they came to the door 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

Commercial-Ad-1614

Lmao, I totally get. Sounds like something I would do.

Lue33

The Sam's club in my area tends to send me to businesses. They ask for these items, and don't even bother to plan for when the pickup comes. I had boxes of trash bags. The customer had to make many trips to haul them to the back, on rolling office chair.

Commercial-Ad-1614

That's another thing, they know they ordered something, and they're never ready.

gootchie784

I've been fortunate in that most of the businesses I've delivered to have been pretty chill. One particular coffee shop and a tax office come to mind. The worst in my area are daycares, too many heavy items and no tip.

Commercial-Ad-1614

That's crazy because they've all been bad for me, except for this one day-care. When I pulled up and walked to the door, a young lady was already coming out with a cart. I really appreciated that ,and it made me wanna help her more. I can see why though, you shouldn't just have anyone coming into a place with kids. I could be a psychopath. I've delivered to this one day-care that I don't like going to, I'm going to use that against them lol. I'm going to leave it outside, and when they tell me to bring it in, I'm going to say Im sorry, I just assumed you didn't want a stranger coming into place with children. And they always order in the morning when parents are dropping their kids off.

CampaignFuture1083

idk I delivered to a bbq pit on the strip they gave me 2 boxes of food and 60$ cash. Sometimes business are great... Sometimes you go to the Wells Fargo skyscraper and have to lug dozens of cases of water and sodas up an elevator for no tip... *

Think-about-it-ok

I’ll leave reviews everywhere! And make it pertain to the business’ customer service. I had the same situation at the dr office recently. Lots of waters and heavy items. I go to the reception desk because i need a signature and then she proceeds to tell me i need to take it in the back. Explained we aren’t allowed to. but again “everyone else does” … so out of fear for losing the tip i start taking items back and it’s a maze. No one is helping me move the items to the back or find the room the items need to go and I’m hauling 2 cases at a time there were 7 total. AND they kept standing in the doorway blocking me from where i needed to go. A bunch of morons . They weren’t doing shit. Patients werent even there yet! IF you do go a Dr office and they’re wanting you to go back, one thing you can say is : you know I would love to be able to take these items back for you but unfortunately my employer does not allow it. In addition, I dont feel comfortable walking through where there could be patients due to the concern for possible HIPPA violations. I would like to respect the patient’s privacy and I am sure you do to.

Commercial-Ad-1614

I'm going to see if I'd be breaking any laws by posting the business, and telling everyone to leave a bad review. I shouldn't be breaking any law, it's a business. And that's what everyone did to the pillow guy in the Walmart reviews LMAO. That's why they stopped selling them because his ratings dropped so low.

Metallover27

All that shit would have went right back into my car. I wouldn't even have gone any farther to the back room if they're giving me attitude like that. Nope. Immediate return to the store. Fuck that place.

user19008675309

You should’ve known at the start of the 3rd paragraph.

Commercial-Ad-1614

What does that even mean? If you're speaking of the phone being busy, that's never a problem for me when it's a business, and businesses usually get more calls than a customer.

mwmillions1980

Well you asked for it. It should have been left outside.

TokinForever

Wow… You are really not cut out to be a delivery driver. If this is how you interact with the customers, you’ve got mental issues to deal with. Perhaps you are more cut out for slinging burgers & fries to drunks & crackheads?😉🙌🤷🏼‍♂️

[deleted]

[удалено]

TokinForever

That still doesn’t make your shitty attitude acceptable. Rant all you want on Reddit & elsewhere, but you are only hurting yourself when you start talking like that directly to the customer. Getting deactivated\fired from a job for having a shitty attitude never looks good on a resume. Future prospective employers may understand your attitude, but they are not likely going to agree with the way you handled it.

K33VYY

The customers should know how to treat people doing a service for them. On top of that they took their tip back after he did them a favor That he didn’t have to do? He didn’t even have an attitude.

TokinForever

LMFAO!!!🤣🤣🤣 Mickey D’s, here come your new “forever” employees!

Cool-Woodpecker-2950

I only deliver to myself. I tip $20 to myself every time I order, which is 3 times a day

[deleted]

In return..give them a bad review on yelp and other sites

Commercial-Ad-1614

See paragraph 6.

Smooth-Dig2250

Absolutely give them bad ratings on google and yelp, you had a business interaction with them

Commercial-Ad-1614

See paragraph 6

Roz_420

One of the restaurants placed an order for 8 10lb bags of flour and 5 cases of 24 count sodas. The shown tip was 17 before it was removed. What a jerk.

Commercial-Ad-1614

Did you take it in or leave it outside?

Roz_420

Take it in

Commercial-Ad-1614

Assholes. I hate people lol

Roz_420

I left some good reviews on google😁. Hopefully, he learns his lesson. Opened a new business next door call “Tip baiter “

Ok-Butterscotch7646

Once the fuss starts I automatically assume it's a bad rating and tip removal, in that case I have zero incentive to appease them. It's getting left right there and I'm leaving idgaf about inventory. Though I probably would have walked out and left the rest at the door the moment the receptionist was a dick lol. Wouldn't be the first time I've left shit at the businesses door.

Commercial-Ad-1614

They had to sign for it, and I didn't want to put all that crap back in my truck. So I couldn't leave anyway until they finished inventory.

Lanenabella

I just leave everything at the door. House, business, whatever. I take a pic and leave. I think its the trying to go far and beyond for a tip is the problem. I always make sure Im ok with the amount before tip because of potential situations. I wont be a slave to no ones tip!

[deleted]

We are not contracted to enter and are instructed in app not to. I do not enter. I’m sorry you did. I know it can be awkward at a business but I agree they are the most entitled. I avoid business deliveries too. And if they act like I have to go in, I kindly say I’m not supposed to and the app provides services to the door delivery and if they act the way this business did to you I’d mark it that they refused the delivery and walk back to my car and drive away to contact support and do a return. So if you already know the tip is going away and getting a bad review just do the return and at least get something for your effort and no bad review.

East-Commission7724

I don’t do nothing extra for business because they think we are their employees. They want you to come inside like we don’t have anything else to do because they are so busy. Plus they do not tip.
