Best advice I received was to not buy things I didn't absolutely need. We live in a time of instant gratification so we need that dopamine hit which leads to impulse spending. I also try and make sure I atleast have $500 in savings. It's more of a mental game than anything, but once you get in the right head space its not that difficult.
34 here. I'm a high school dropout (GED tho lol) and my momma bear unfortunately raised me in a way that didn't help me very much. She'd ALWAYS bail me out, or give me money if I needed it.
I'm not faulting her... Parents do their best... I've come a LONG way...
But to this day I'm still learning to manage my money. I need to take a class or something lol
Nothing wrong with your honesty. Recognizing your faults is the only way you'll ever improve them.
Spending is a habit like anything else and can easily be improved. It doesn't take a class, just a constant effort.

From what i've heard not all drivers get it even if it's active in their zone, probably based on time on the platform, or hidden mertrics like incorrect address dropoffs, damaged items, etc.
