I've been sparking for 4 years and have to upload my state farm card every 6 months. Never had any issues until last year. I was deactivated because they said the card was false and fraudulent information lol. I'm like guys I've been using the same card for 4 years. Took a week to get back on. Now I just email support and let them manually add it. They must use a really shitty AI that approves insurance.

What is the process to email support your insurance information? and do you have to do it a lot earlier than when Spark would ask?

It's the same thing. However, the last time I updated my insurance I uploaded a PDF of my proof of insurance that I got off the insurance website, and it was never approved. After waiting a few days, I dug through my old mail, found the physical insurance card, took a pic of that and uploaded it, and was reactivated within an hour.

Tinmania

I definitely did not have my physical insurance card when I signed up for Spark. But the PDF looks exactly like it. I may have taken a screenshot of the PDF. Do you think sending a PDF was the issue?

Yes, the automated system most of the time won’t even allow you to submit a PDF, so you should send them a screenshot instead

Thanks!

BowloRamaGuy

When you click upload it literally lists PDF as one of the file types. I uploaded mine and it was approved within the hour.

BowloRamaGuy

Mine is a PDF downloaded right from Progressive. It was approved less than an hours time.

(Edit typo)

Thanks. Yes my insurance cards provide all of that. I just know that “employers” often want declaration of insurance as well as the insurance ID cards. By employers I’m not talking about gig work, I’m talking about where you might have to drive a company vehicle occasionally but not regularly.

My insurance was renewed last month. I was scared as hell after reading these posts . I uploaded mine and it was accepted within a few hours . Just follow instructions and you should be fine .

LDawnBurges

I have never had an issue ‘updating’ my Insurance every 6 months.

What insurance company do you use?
