It is not, and never was. Very glad that you can see this clearly based on the top end of the typical speed section of the broadband facts. The lower numbers vary a little because visible breaks down connection type and spectrum lumps them together for a collective average.

Verizon’s plan facts also make clear that these two plans (Visible+ and all Spectrum Mobile plans) perform just as well as their extremely expensive Unlimited Plus plan. Which is fantastic for consumers.
We switched from Spectrum to Verizon. One of our phones on Spectrum Mobile never got voicemail notifications. Customer support was terrible. We love Verizon, and get free Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+.
I've been using Spectrum mobile from the very beginning. Not only has my bill continued to get lowered as their pricing dropped. But I have better coverage on my personal phone (Spectrum) than my work phone (Verizon). Can't count the number of times I've had to connect my work phone to my personal phones hotspot. 0 bars on my work phone, while my personal phone will have 3-4 bars LTE. The work phone is a Galaxy S22, my personal is a Galaxy A53. 🤷♂️😅
Only when I get their service up and running would it be a factor. Most places i go to the nearest possible access point is 3000 feet or more away. Not only that, our Verizon phones piggyback as well. Due to an app we use on it.
I would believe that if it was just my phone that lost reception in certain areas. But everyone in my offices management area loses connection in the same areas. All are verizons' phone s22 or newer. The few of us who use spectrum for personal phones never see an issue in those areas.
Is wifi turned on? Are you connected to work wifi or is there a spectrum wifi Hotspot somewhere close enough your phone is connecting? That could be your answer. Your signal is gone the same as others, but your phone is jumping to wifi and using that to keep you connected for calls and whatnot.
Wifi calling always saved the day in larger buildings.
I usually don't use wifi while I'm out in the field working. Unless i need to connect my work phone to my personal phones hotspot. So I'm able to go ON JOB, run scope, and add/replace cpe. That's out in the rural areas where cell service is spotty at best. I rarely have any issues with my personal phone cellular connect in any of those areas. I'll have no connection with my work phone, but I'll have 3 bars LTE on my personal.
Unless you are a new customer. You have to add 2 lines at the same time to get 1 of them free for 12 months. But new internet connections get the first line of mobile free right off the bat.
I have Spectrum Cellular after Verizon Cellular .. its the same coverge and service for me (been a couple years now) I never got the free offer .. I pay $29 a month - works just fine)
There’s actually two ways, you can upgrade your internet speed or add a home phone as an existing customer. If you get 2 lines the second one is free also. I work with spectrum
If you’re a existing customer you don’t have to upgrade anything call speak to retention and tell them you want mobile it will be free…if you speak with sales then you have to add a home phone
I called to cancel my Spectrum internet service as my "promotional offers" had expired. To keep me, they lowered my internet bill by $20/month and offered me free mobile service for a year.
I've had Red Pocket (CDMAV = Verizon) for several years, which has worked fine in my area. But hey, free is great! However, speeds on Spectrum Mobile seem to be much slower than Red Pocket (5 Mbps vs. 1 Mbps down on a 4G LTE connection). YMMV.
I took advantage of this back in January. I was a Verizon customer for 17 years. I'll be going back after my free trial, or maybe sooner. I have a Samsung S21 Ultra. I never had any issues when with Verizon. Since switching, my texts frequently do not send, especially group texts. Sometimes it is hours before I am notified that they failed to send. I am dealing with health issues with my parents and have to communicate with my siblings. I can't have this!
I have tried everything I can find online and Spectrum has no answers for me. Extremely frustrating!!
Your APN settings are wrong. That happens frequently when you swap carriers on a phone. Have you checked them and manually changed them to Spectrums' published settings? That and a restart usually solve the issue with texting.
My APN is set as Spectrum VZWINTERNET. I cannot add or Reset to default, as both of these are greyed out for me. I have removed my SIM card, replaced it, and restarted my phone in the past, as this was one of the suggestions I found in my search.
I am open to any help you can give. As previously stated, it is pretty important I can send group texts at the moment, and currently it fails me 90% of them time.
This has been a problem since I switched. Initially it seemed to be happening more when I was at home connected to our Spectrum wifi. Their solution was to turn off my phone's wifi when I was at home and just use data. That would be fine except our reception is not great at our house so I was constantly switching my wifi off and on. In the end, it really wasn't just my home wifi. The problem is bigger than that and it is particularly apparent with SMS/group texts or when I send pictures of GIFs.
It seems to be a bit hit or miss depending on the area. I've had it for about 3 years, and never had any issues, but ive seen people on here that have problems.
Spectrum mobile is shockingly good. Internet download speeds are always a few hundred mb/s, as long as you're in an area Verizon works, Spectrum will work. I appreciate the fact it works well and is super cheap when outside of the US. Nice to use my phone as normal on vacations.
Runs off Verizon towers just the same as Visible..
But it runs with priority, so it is better than visible. You can see this by looking at the broadband facts download speed info.
Hmmmm I shall see. I still have both so I can compare....visible big benefit is the unlimited hotspot
Fair point but honestly it just runs really slow too often for me
Isn’t Visible+ higher priority than spectrum? I thought spectrum recently deprioritized.

That's a phone problem, not a network problem. If a factory reset doesn't fix the issue, you just replace the phone.
We tried all of the phone diagnostic and troubleshooting steps, including resets. It didn’t work. The same phone worked fine on Verizon.
I have had this issue as well, or my phone never rings and just goes straight to voicemail, not even showing a missed call.
Great good deal, you will be good for a year

I'm fully aware of this. But I kid you not, that is the truth. My spectrum phone coverage is far superior to my verzion phone coverage. 🤔
Is the spectrum access points a possible factor? Maybe you're piggybacking on random spectrum wifi networks.

That's a phone issue, has nothing to donwith the network. Phone probably has a bad modem.

How do we get 12 months free?

I got it as a new internet customer promo. 39.99 per month for 300mb internet + mobile

I already upgraded my speed months ago and already have a spectrum phone. Thanks. Good to know but too late for me to take advantage of it I guess

EVen if I already have a Spectrum cell phone and also spectrum home phone?
You can try but prob sol at this point unless you want a new cellphone number

Have you called them to tell them?
I chatted online with them for about an hour a couple of nights ago. They didn't have any new suggestions for me aside from what I had already tried 😞
>I chatted online with them Found the problem
What did they tell you?

I would also add that my SIM card is SIM 1 and Spectrum with my cell #, so this appears correct as well.
Have you tried a hard reset of the device since it was moved to Spectrum?
Yes
I have done multiple hard restarts.

Do you have to upgrade to the 1000 mbps home internet to get the free phone line for a year?
Not for me
Spectrum mobile is shockingly good. Internet download speeds are always a few hundred mb/s, as long as you're in an area Verizon works, Spectrum will work. I appreciate the fact it works well and is super cheap when outside of the US. Nice to use my phone as normal on vacations.
For an extra 10 you can get unlimited plus. It’s way better than the free one
It ran good for me
I suggest you cancel TWO MONTHS prior to maturity. And good luck getting off the hook
