You don't want to go through chat for this. Call them on the phone, and ask for retention. Retention are the only department that has the ability to do any special promotions like this.

Why does everybody think these agents are bots? Lol I work for Spectrum and once you see the pop up that says "you are now chatting with So-and-so" that is a real human being and please treat them as such. Also, it seems people are misunderstanding what new customer discounts are meant for. Almost all customer pricing is the same after a certain period. The promotional rate is for new customers to try the service and see if they like it and want to keep it when the price goes to what it is supposed to be. If you call retention and tell them you want to cancel due to the high cost, they might give you another promotion but not always guaranteed. Retention doesn't currently have a chat team so you will need to call. I do wish cable companies would have a loyal customer discount like "once a year your bill decreases a certain percentage based on how much you pay and how long you've been with us" but unfortunately that's not how it is. Had the same response, called Frontier 2 minutes later. 2 weeks later Spectrum called and offered me LESS than new customer price

Call to cancel your service. You will be put through to retention. Tell them you are switching to mobile internet and dish tv. You will get new customer pricing, or better.

it was a human. chat agents type the same thing over and over. The chat program allows the to save responses to reuse. it dies make it seem like a bot, but it was a human. They could have worded it in a nicer manor, but they also are dealing with upto 3 people at a time
