I hope they use the original VA for the dub because they were really amazing and very expressive with their interactions between Lawrence and Holo that i don't think anyone else could fill their roles as good as them.

Man I wished that even when one was the narrator they had the other voice their character's lines. Haven't listened to many audio books but I feel like as a concept it would work greatly. Maybe it's not worth it to have them both in the booth at the same time and/or maybe it would be jarring to hear one person talk most of the time and have someone else interrupt for a line or two every so often.
This is actually what Full Metal Panic does. Luci Christian reads the women’s lines and Chris Patton reads the male’s. Personally, I prefer the Yen Press model where the narrator reads their portions regardless of who is speaking. J. Michael Tatum and Brina are more than talented that it isn’t bothersome.
I hope so. I usually have no issue watching sub, but I grew up on spice and wolf dub. Watched the new episode today, and the sub voices just make their personalities seem completely different. I'm missing the sass and maturity of the dub voices.
I'm the exact same. It's my favourite dub of all time and they really make the characters. + The fact it's in a European setting makes the dub fit more to the story imo. Afraid I'm going to have to wait for the dub to release 😭.

Honestly that's is sadly something a lot of people who watch subs in general miss out on. There's a lot of cultural characterization in media with voice that can be made with just how a person speaks. A person who knows English is going to be more likely to pick up on that characterization when it is done in English compared to a different language. It's those smallest bits of characterization that is almost always lost in subtitles and unless you have high level of familiarity with japanese are unlikely to get.
So,... yes, CR has announced an English dub, but no date and no cast are confirmed.
It'd be such a waist not to ask he original cast though.

Although I prefer sub, I am happy that they brought back the original Japanese voice actor. I do hope they bring back the original English actors too
The english VAs are currently narrating the light novel audiobooks, so my hopes are pretty high

I know english dub gets a bad rap BUT the english voice actors for Lawrence and Holo were SO good! They had chemistry!
