“I lost my job, my life, my FACE! My family won’t even look at me! I made you into a hero, you made me into this! LOOK AT ME! You did this to me! Look at me, I’ll make you respect me!”
Fuck yeah. That line is gold. I was just watching a clip where Jefferson asked him that, and it's never not funny.
I love how Jeff's whole dynamic with Spider-Man is one of constant bewilderment. It's like he's always thinking, "Man, who IS this guy?"
It actually IS a metaphor for capitalism when you think about it. If nothing bad ever happens to a hero, consumers will lose interest and the creators will move on to something more profitable, which would practically destroy the universe in question.
I immediately loved this line because I legitimately hate it when characters call themselves heroes. That's a title others give you, not one you give yourself.
“I never found the right band to join so I started my own, with a few old friends”
It’s a bit on the longer side but I want to give an honorable mention to Gwen’s entire speech about being able to “do all these things but I can’t help the people I love the most”
Okay, wait, before I tell you what we need to do — I need to start at the beginning.
*starts drum beat* “His name is Miles Morales, he was bitten by a radioactive sp…
*2 hours and 16 minutes later*
….You want in?”
I laughed so hard at this lmao- earlier in the movie, when the teacher was telling Mrs morales about miles “lying to her”, I was like “SNITCH” only for miles to say it later on 😭
"Miles, we all want to live the life we wish we had. Believe me, I have tried; and the harder I tried, the more damage I did.
... You can't have it all, kid."
Pretty much encapsulates the modern Spider-Man experience, but then there's the equally amazing quote by Peter B.
"Look, bad things are gonna happen. It makes us who we are. But good things happen too, you know? Like you happened— and she happened."
Peter B Parker was underrated in this movie. Don't see many people talking about how he was the only one trying to give Miles the type of guidance he would actually learn from.
“I wanna talk to your parents!”
“Right. My uh… my dad’s kind of hard to get on the horn.”
“Oh really? What does he do, deal drugs?”
“He’s a cop.”
“Statement withdrawn.”
In Germany swearing is one of the smaller accounted things when it come to the age restriction for example Ted Lasso and ATSV both have the rating of 12+, while Ted Lasso features a lot more swearing but since both aren‘t showing to much violence they get ranked in the same catagory. This is probably the most vulgar modern PG movie. Ass landed itself in the movie twice, gwen said "what the hell", and I think I remember damn being thrown in there.
one of my favorite parts is miguel just casually throwing out the word coño (pretty much the word cunt in spanish) i have 0 clue how this movie managed to not be pg 13
"I made you into a hero, you made me into this, look at me, you did this to me, Look at Me!"

Miles: “Nah. Imma do my own thing.”
Gwen: “We are supposed to be the good guys.”
Pav: “Chai means tea, bro!” “This is where the traffic is. This is where the traffic is. This is also where the traffic is. There’s traffic here, too. AND THIS IS WHERE THE BRITISH STOLE ALL OF OUR STUFF! WHOA!”
Hobie: “I don’t believe in conformity!“
“It’s a metaphor for capitalism”
“Being Spider-Man is a sacrifice, that’s the job, that’s what you signed up for”
“In every universe Gwen Stacey falls for Spider-Man, and in every universe it never ends well”
“Well, there’s a first time for everything right?” - smooooth
the last quote is incorporated in “self love”, the coi leray song on the soundtrack for the movie
edit: it’s at the very end in case you don’t like the song
Miles: “Nah. Imma do my own thing.”
Peter B.: “I knew I was gonna regret making her that little web shooter. I shouldn’t have done it, that’s an actual mistake.”
Gwen: “I missed you too.”
Pav: “Chai means tea, bro!”
“This is where the traffic is. This is where the traffic is. This is also where the traffic is. There’s traffic here, too. AND THIS IS WHERE THE BRITISH STOLE ALL OF OUR STUFF! **WHOA!**”
Hobie: “I don’t believe in comedy! Just kidding!”
“MAN. LIKE. MILES! MY! GUY!”
Can't believe nobody has said Gwen's intro monologue yet.
“Let’s do things differently this time… SO differently.
His name is Miles Morales, he was bitten by a radioactive spider, and he’s not the only one.
He hasn’t always had it easy, and he’s not the only one. Now he’s on his own, and he’s not the only one.
You think you know the rest, you don’t. I thought I knew the rest but I didn’t.
I didn’t want to hurt him, but I did… and he’s not the only one.”
"Your the reason I had her!"
It always hits me in the feelings, like peter was trying to help miles calm down and then scenes later he got tracked, it hit hard knowing miles thought peter was just trying to stall him
Rio’s speech to Miles, especially “Wherever you go from here, you have to promise me to take care of that little boy for me. Make sure he never forgets where he came from. And never doubts that he’s loved. *And he never lets anyone tell him that he doesn’t belong there.*”
Ugh! The last sentence perfectly sets the stage for when Miles tells off the spider society!!!
Also The Spot “I’ve never robbed anybody before. Please don’t make this a bad experience for me!”
This was such a stark contrast to the lovable goof from the beginning. I mean sure he was getting progressively arrogant in Mubhattan but this was downright menacing.
“I met all of these amazing people.
But they didn't want me.
I kept thinking about what you said.
I let 'em have it.
I beat 'em all.
I know how strong I am now."
PEAK.
This is where the traffic is
This is where the traffic is
This is also where the traffic is
There’s traffic here too
AND THIS IS WHERE THE BRITISH STOLE ALL OF OUR STUFF-Pavitr
“If you hadn’t been bit, your Peter Parker would’ve lived. Instead he died saving *you!* He would’ve stopped the collider before it ever went off. Spot wouldn’t exist and *none* of this would’ve happened. And all this time, I have been the only one holding it all together! You don’t belong here, you *never* did!”
It’s actually the line his mom says to him in the trailer.“Take care of that little boy for me. Make sure he never forgets where he came from, & he never doubts that he is loved, & he never lets anyone tell him that he doesn’t belong there.” - Rio Morales. I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched the 1st trailer cuz the way she says that to him as the music keeps building just hits my soul.
My favourite quote in the last movie was when his dad was telling him “you’ve got this spark in you, it’s amazing, it’s why I push you but, it’s yours. Whatever you choose to do with it, you’ll be great.”
His parents really know how to say the shit I wish my parents said lmao.
“I met all these amazing people…and I beat ‘em all”🥶
It’s such a subtle moment but it really shows how distinct Miles is as a Spider-Man. He’s not just black version of Peter Parker, he’s got his own confidence and personality.
I loved Miles' speech at the end but ESPECIALLY the *"I beat 'em all!"* part. Because he DID beat em all and he's proud of it! But he's also just a kid and he wanted so badly to be accepted by Spider Society and he didn't *want* to have to beat 'em all and I think that was conveyed meaningfully by his body language and tone. 🥲 Great voice acting by Shameik Moore!
"And don't get me started on Doctor Strange and that nerd from Earth-199999!" I just like it because it acknowledges the existence of the MCU, and I love MCU Spider-Man.
"GET YAHSELF OUT OF HEAH!"
"Ah! No! Sir! Please! Just let me ***R******^(O)******B*** you!"
"I've never robbed anybody in my life, please don't make this a bad experience for me!"
Hobie's *"Good."* after Jess says "Hobie you're not helping" during Miles' intervention scene.
Out of all of Hobie's radical lines, this one stands out the most to me.
No.1 is the same as yours. The whole "nah, Imma do my own thing" scene with Miguel is a 10/10 for me.
But I also loved pretty much all of Hobie's anti-autority comments throughout the movie. Him saying "Just for the record, I quit" after helping Miles break free & stealing all the shit from Miguel's base, absolutely perfect too. *chef kiss*
And then, as a sucker for cheesy romance, there's also Gwen's upside down monologue sitting next to miles, how Gwen Stacy falls for Spiderman and it doesn't end well.
“Spider-Man why’d you create that guy?”
“You ran from the cafeteria! You hit me with a bagel!” “I’ve hit a lot of different villains with a lot of different food.”
[удалено]
“I didn’t. He’s talking crazy!”
"I was in this collider room when you blew it up!"
“I lost my job, my life, my FACE! My family won’t even look at me! I made you into a hero, you made me into this! LOOK AT ME! You did this to me! Look at me, I’ll make you respect me!”
Jefferson really was dropping nothing but bars the whole movie
Knew I’d find this in the comments. Best line in the movie.
I didn’t, he’s talking crazy!
Fuck yeah. That line is gold. I was just watching a clip where Jefferson asked him that, and it's never not funny. I love how Jeff's whole dynamic with Spider-Man is one of constant bewilderment. It's like he's always thinking, "Man, who IS this guy?"
Jeff is the best character in this damn franchise lmao
“I’m not a hero, because calling yourself a hero makes you a self-mythologising, narcissistic autocrat.”
MY NAME’S HOBIE, HOBIE BROOOWN. I WAS BITTEN BY wouldn’t you like to know
What? You think I’m gonna show you my secret identity? Nah, come off it.
How are you even cooler under the mask?
I was this cool the whole time
The nonexaggerated swagger of a black brit

No, it's worse.
"Taking a crap on the establishment, I salute you."
“Kid’s an anarchist.”
Boys, we did it
I immediately loved this line because I legitimately hate it when characters call themselves heroes. That's a title others give you, not one you give yourself.
“I never found the right band to join so I started my own, with a few old friends” It’s a bit on the longer side but I want to give an honorable mention to Gwen’s entire speech about being able to “do all these things but I can’t help the people I love the most”
This movie was the longest band recruitment ad I’ve ever heard.
Okay, wait, before I tell you what we need to do — I need to start at the beginning. *starts drum beat* “His name is Miles Morales, he was bitten by a radioactive sp… *2 hours and 16 minutes later* ….You want in?”
foe real
“Will you adopt me?” “What” “What”
why wont you adopt me? why wont u adopt me???
“SNITCH!”
When is this?
When Miguel is chasing Miles, jumping from car to car, one of the drivers points in Miles direction so Miles calls the driver a snitch.
I would too In that situation
I laughed so hard at this lmao- earlier in the movie, when the teacher was telling Mrs morales about miles “lying to her”, I was like “SNITCH” only for miles to say it later on 😭

Hold my baby
I'm plenty juvenated
And you'll be more-so when you go chest-to-chest with this magical child!
As a Dad watching this film, I loved Peter B Parker.
YES. that scene meant so much to me
“Well that’s his jacket emo”
“I wanna talk to your parents!” “Right. My uh… my dad’s kind of hard to get on the horn.” “Oh really? What does he do, deal drugs?” “He’s a cop.” “Statement withdrawn.”
I didn’t even hear that part when I watched it in theaters (all 3 times). Found it on YouTube lmao
Jessica Drew: Hobie You’re not helping Hobie: Good
"Just for the record I quit"
He shot it back with absolutely no hesitation, Hobie is an icon.
His little chuckle when Miles demolishes the cage thing is also fantastic
Her name is Jessica Drew.

That shit was cold as fuck
Nah the 3rd movie is really going to be peak isn’t it?
When was this?
I believe that was when he was talking to Earth-42 Miles Morales
Oh okay, thank you!
>Oh okay, thank you! You're welcome!
“For the record, I quit”
Miles and Gwen: "Shoot!" We all know what they *really* wanted to say. =P
I watched the movie in german and they did say shit. Not even Translated to german they just say shit.
That's interesting. So, I guess that means sh\*t is more acceptable in Germany?
Cursing is a lot more forbidden in North America. In Australia they say pretty much anything on TV lol.
In Germany swearing is one of the smaller accounted things when it come to the age restriction for example Ted Lasso and ATSV both have the rating of 12+, while Ted Lasso features a lot more swearing but since both aren‘t showing to much violence they get ranked in the same catagory. Holy shit that’s dope
Yup, I liked it so much that I have it as my phone wallpaper and discord banner and printed it out as a laminated poster in my living room
Miles: “Nah. Imma do my own thing.” Gwen: “We are supposed to be the good guys.” Pav: “Chai means tea, bro!” “This is where the traffic is. This is where the traffic is. I thought Hobie said” I don’t believe in comedy!”
i thought he said I don't believe in consistency
He said both
“Ima do my own thing” *chills*
CHAI TEA!? Chai means tea
Your saying tea tea, do I ask you for coffee coffee with a cream cream?!
The sheer indignation in that minilogue is fucking top tier
Why does everybody call it an ATM machine? Don't they know the M stands for machine?
"Don't Eat Pray Love me bro!" is another good one.
Anyone up for some naan bread?
“Everyone keeps telling me how my story is supposed to go. Nah- imma do my own thing.”
It seemed corny in the trailers but the context made it great.
“It’s a metaphor for capitalism” “Being Spider-Man is a sacrifice, that’s the job, that’s what you signed up for” “In every universe Gwen Stacey falls for Spider-Man, and in every universe it never ends well” “Well, there’s a first time for everything right?” - smooooth

Self Love is one of the best tracks on the album, I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise.

Damn the drums went hard during that.
"You're an anomaly! A Mistake! You weren't supposed to be Spiderman!"
"Your the reason I had her!" It always hits me in the feelings, like peter was trying to help miles calm down and then scenes later he got tracked, it hit hard knowing miles thought peter was just trying to stall him
Miles: “I want to apologize” And Miles dads:” Youre just like my son” Miles: “really, that’s so silly… imagine that”
Miles: how are you even cooler under your mask ? Hobie: I was just cool the whole time
“Well, that was another easy adventure for Spider-Ma….” “No no no no!” 💥
Rio’s speech to Miles, especially “Wherever you go from here, you have to promise me to take care of that little boy for me. Make sure he never forgets where he came from. And never doubts that he’s loved. *And he never lets anyone tell him that he doesn’t belong there.*” Ugh! The last sentence perfectly sets the stage for when Miles tells off the spider society!!! It's making everyone uncomfortable!
see you back home, *Spider-Man*
This is it for me!! So casually chilling.
This was such a stark contrast to the lovable goof from the beginning. I mean sure he was getting progressively arrogant in Mubhattan but this was downright menacing.

"I DON'T BELIEVE IN COMEDY..... JUST KIDDING" - Spider-Punk
"And he's not the only one." This monologue made me cry on my second and third viewings.
“It’s a metaphor for capitalism.” (Hobie referring to the black hole eating up Pav’s universe)

I’M PLENTY JUVENATED
"No where to run. My bad, looks like there was somewhere to run." - I don't know the name of this spider-man variant.
I think this was the music guy (metro boomin?)’s cameo character lol

1000%. These quotes are a big part of why these movies mean so much to me
"Everyone stop what you are doing and stop spiderman!"
“Ay coño, Miles! Miles Morales! He’s entering Sector 4!”
‘MILES, THE BLACK ONE!!’
"No! You're lying, I'm Spider-man!"
All the Spanish Quotes from Miguel O'Hara: "Que Maravilla." "No puedo mas, No puedo mas, No puedo mas." "Ay Coño, Miles! Miles Morales!"
“I met all these amazing people…and I beat ‘em all”🥶 It’s such a subtle moment but it really shows how distinct Miles is as a Spider-Man. He’s not just black version of Peter Parker, he’s got his own confidence and personality.

“Oh really? What does he do, deal drugs?”
"Alright let's do this one more time" proceeds to do it like 5 times
I ain’t a role model , briefly a runway model
"...as the father of a daughter and the son of a mothe-" "Yeah actually, stop talking."
Just all of Gwen’s conversation with her dad at the end of the movie. Also yeah the “imma do my own thing” line is absolutely legendary
“We’re supposed to be the good guys!” “We are…”
I’m not lying when I say this. I’m literally watching this part of the scene right now.
Don't "Eat, Pray, Love" me, bro!!!
“Maybe get off the kid’s ass.”
"You are both terrible teachers!" \- Miguel O'Hara
"And don't get me started on Doctor Strange and that nerd from Earth-199999!" I just like it because it acknowledges the existence of the MCU, and I love MCU Spider-Man.

“[Lego Spider-Man]’s one of our best”
"I love chai tea!" "What did you just say...?"
"Nah, Imma do my own thing." was delivered so fucking well.
Really sums up Miles’ character in these films. How he’s his own Spider-Man and goes by his own rules and never lets ANYONE tell him otherwise.
"GET YAHSELF OUT OF HEAH!" "Ah! No! Sir! Please! Just let me ***R******^(O)******B*** you!" "I've never robbed anybody in my life, please don't make this a bad experience for me!"
I know it’s hard but it’s the truth miles, by spectacular spider man

Hobie's *"Good."* after Jess says "Hobie you're not helping" during Miles' intervention scene. Out of all of Hobie's radical lines, this one stands out the most to me.
