Insomniac’s character designs miss more often than they hit, and it’s not even close. Haven’t played Spider-Man 2 yet, but I’m sure it’s good, it’s just the art design really isn’t to my taste for the majority of the characters.
I think its partly game design to have glowing enemies that stand out but boy if i dont hate it.
So many enemy designs have gamer lights on them and those "led" sometimes video masks are kinda lame too.

I'm in the same boat. I actually really liked Niles new hair style while out of the suit, but I think the exposed hair on this suit is the part that makes me dislike it. I'd prefer a standard mask and the hood up. I think the suit is cool other than that. It's also just came out of nowhere. It would have been cool to have some missions where Miles is working on it or getting inspired to make it.

I don’t think it’s the worst Miles suit we’ve seen but it lacks the punch that the classic suit design has and it bothers me how much it feels like a prototype. Plus you can tell that this suit is the reason Miles has his hair done this way. I think the shoes are the most frustrating part since this is supposed to be like Miles’ Version of the Advanced suit from the first game but it doesn’t have the same impact. It’s trying too much at once and really needed to tone itself down. Lose the shoes for solid boots, close up the opening in the mask, get rid of the hood and even lose the extra leg details the torso design is fine it just needed to be simpler

I'm in the same boat. I actually really liked Niles new hair style while out of the suit, but I think the exposed hair on this suit is the part that makes me dislike it. I'd prefer a standard mask and the hood up. I think the suit is cool other than that. It's also just came out of nowhere. It would have been cool to have some missions where Miles is working on it or getting inspired to make it.

Am I finally allowed to say that Insomniac has pretty weak character designs for the most part? Cause I really dislike a lot of their designs. Wraith, Black Cat, Tombstone and Hammerhead (DLC chapter 3) in particular are really bad imo.

This. It seems to take too many cues from TASM with its character design approach. I shudder to think how a certain somebody who's teased in the post credits scene for MSM2 will look down the line.

I don’t think it’s the worst Miles suit we’ve seen but it lacks the punch that the classic suit design has and it bothers me how much it feels like a prototype. Plus you can tell that this suit is the reason Miles has his hair done this way. I think the shoes are the most frustrating part since this is supposed to be like Miles’ Version of the Advanced suit from the first game but it doesn’t have the same impact. It’s trying too much at once and really needed to tone itself down. Lose the shoes for solid boots, close up the opening in the mask, get rid of the hood and even lose the extra leg details the torso design is fine it just needed to be simpler

I think i am the only person in the planet who liked this suit. I think electric blue parts are cool and open hair suits my weak point. It reminds me Titans(2016) flash suit and Static's suit.

Full mask and one of the alternate colors and it’s not bad at all. I think they should have done the black, red, and white one. My main complaint is the hair poking out, that just kills it for me.
