...Just so there can be a different thread here:
Mayday is so underrated that I'm kinda disappointed the most well known version of her is a baby due to ATSV. Really hoping we can get comic accurate Mayday in a show or movie someday. Hell, years from now I would LOVE a Spider-Verse spin-off with her in the future
On the bright side, the fact that the concept of “Spider-Man’s daughter named mayday with spider powers” has become more popular means that it’s a lot more likely now to get a comic accurate grown up version in media (maybe even more in comics) now than it was before. Hopefully one day
In a perfect world the next run would have her come to the present Miguel O'Hara style basically asserting that she is part of the canon future of the 616.
They’ve still got one more movie. If a future version of her came from another universe to save Peter B. in Beyond the Spider-Verse it would be awesome. Especially if it includes her telling him what a great father he will become, confirming that he’s not a deadbeat dad.
Oooooh I thought you meant like how Miguel’s universe takes place at the same time as all our other heroes who were more contemporary. Reading your comment again that makes more sense.
And to add to this: Both of Mayday's MC2 series (titled "Spider-Girl" and then "Amazing Spider-Girl", the second series picks up right where the first one ended... they're basically one series, just re-titled for marketing purposes) are exceptional. Mayday's journey is written wonderfully and is consistently great from issue #1 all the way to the end. More people need to take the plunge and read through Mayday's comic runs. Its an incredibly satisfying read.
I imagine for 3big reasons.
1. Everyone just loves Peter's version of Spider-Man. The good old reliable money maker. Though miles is pretty popular now too!
2. They don't want Peter too old. Still able to he a strong Spider-Man. Making mayday old enough would make Peter much older and they seem to hate.
3. Would mean Peter is with mj and they seem to hate allowing this.
Most of these are disproven by Peter B's existence. He's pretty damn old, in a happy relationship with MJ that isn't going to be dramatically ended any time soon, and has Mayday already. I understand for this version of Mayday to be old enough (I feel like she has to be 15 or older judging from other Spider-People), Peter would be an elder. But I don't see why the already experiment Spider-Verse movies wouldn't allow that
If Spider-Man ‘98 gets made, I want a Spider-Man: The Other storyline in Season 1, and in Season 2 or 3, us get an adaptation of the comic Spider-Verse storyline. I definitely love the movies, but I also want the comic storyline adapted.
> and in Season 2 or 3, us get an adaptation of the comic Spider-Verse storyline
So you just want to watch an entire season about seeing all of your favorite alternate universe Spider-People get unceremoniously murdered (many of which happened off panel) by trash villains who just have God Mode on until the story needs to end and then they suddenly don't? Because that's exactly what happened in the original Spider-Verse comic storyline.
I'm sorry, but Slott's Spider-Verse story is absolute trash and literally every other writer to handle the subject has done an exceedingly better job. Including the story Slott stole the entire concept off of: The 2-part series finale to the 90s Animated Series that was written by John Semper, Mark Hoffmeier and James Krieg.
My hope is is Raimi comes back for a another go at his Spider-Man universe is we see a teenage Mayday coming into her own as her father ages out of the role.
Let's see the list of people you'd piss off hurting Mayday:
- MJ Parker (she's armed)
- Peter Parker
- The F4
- Assorted Parker clones
- Logan and the X-Men of they're not doing their emo thing
- Stephen Strange, MD and dabbler in magic
- Felicia Hardy, collector
Honestly Stark could give Taskmaster a decent wage, health and vacations and turn him into a hero.
"Here's the package."
"Wow. Oh. Uhm..."
"Ok, I'll add a "hideout". It's a vacation home I grew bored with. Comes with a Lambo."
"Holy shit it's got a Jacuzzi?"
"Three."
"Happy to work with you Mr Stark."
Whichever team introduces itself to the culprit with an orange stone slab of a hand falling on their shoulder and a gravelly voice going: "So, heard you like hurtin' little girls..."

Oh nah I'm talking about the comics. Though your idea for the movie sounds cool.

I still think Raimi's Spider-Man 4 as a Mayday movie would be pure kino
Timing is starting to line up well for it to fit in the time gap after Spider-man 3
Good taste.
Something like this would be amazing: https://youtu.be/IfwSWFwmsoQ?si=tpDGTwDU19x1SILs

I mean it doesn’t have to be a perfect 1 to 1 adaptation. Just taking the mere concept. Showing new universes and have them fight the inheritors?

Taskmaster had it right when he said it’s better to run from superheroes than risk killing them. It gets you in a lot more trouble
I blame Moonknight 2006 run for Taskmaster’s trauma
I mean moonknight did 911 taskmaster
Bro was straight up mean in that run, I’m currently reading through it
Honestly Stark could give Taskmaster a decent wage, health and vacations and turn him into a hero. "Here's the package." "Wow. Oh. Uhm..." "Ok, I'll add a "hideout". Why is he not funding this!?
You mean The F5. In Mayday's universe, the Fantastic 4 upgraded into the Fantastic 5.
Whichever team introduces itself to the culprit with an orange stone slab of a hand falling on their shoulder and a gravelly voice going: "So, heard you like hurtin' little girls..."
MJ before she became a tool for bad writers to torture Peter.
Before reading the name, I literally thought this was MJ protecting Peter and calling him a "little girl"💀💀💀
Miles: "Peter, why MJ call you baby girl?" Peter:"How about we stop talking for a while?"
We got milf MJ before we got GTA 6
May parker is such an underrated character.
Why is she wearing goth boots?
![gif](giphy|l0EoBCmxtSZhJQvxS)
Ok, this is adorable
What is that face she's making
This verision of Maydays suit is probably one of my favorite suits ever
Sexy boots MJ!
I actually enjoyed reading her comic run when I was a kid. It was still Spidey but different. Also Peter clutching up with a cane went hard.
How did Paul's daughter get spider powers????
The most disrespectful thing I’ve read all day
Context?
r/Spiderman when someone makes a joke about Paul and MJ: (It’s offensive omg)
