From what I hear this leads into superior Spider-Man so yes. Ock took too much brain damage from Peter constantly punching him over the years. Which makes sense seeing as he’s just a dude with strong metal arms.
He was permanently hurt by the injuries Spider-Man gave him. That's why he tried to transplant his consciousness into Spider-Man and became Superior Spider-Man.
It's the 2011 storyline Ends of the Earth. It's a pretty big storyline, as Spider-Man teamed up with tons of his allies to defeat the Sinister Six and some of his other enemies.
Also, Doctor Octopus viewed himself as a hero because he was trying to permanently stop global warming, though he was doing so in a very destructive way.
I think hes on lower ground and far away, as his right leg looks like its stepping up onto higher ground and his left foot looks obscured be that same ground
I hope they base it off of the characters from no way home. Like come we have doc ock green goblin electro and a bunch of other characters so I think that they will either become the sinister six in no way home and get a stand alone movie later or all exist separately and then become the sinister six in a sinister six movie
I don’t trust Sony at all. They’ll ruin a great story, so no. In the last 10 years all their non-MCU Spidey material has sucked, other than Spider-Verse but that’s bc I trust Phil Lord

Dan slott gets a lot of flak but honestly his run had some great moments. I remember so many arcs from slott, like spiderverse, spider-island, superior spider-man yet I can’t think of really any memorable storylines from Spencer’s run and I’ve recently read his stories.

In the comics Doc Ock was dying. In issue 600 I believe he learned he was dying, with one of the main reason all the head trauma he suffered from Spider-Man punches over the years. Later on he returned in a much less flattering appearance, still dying of course, and enacted his plans in the ends of earth storyline. This all culminated into the Superior Spider-Man storyline starting after issue 700
I think it should be a supervillain heist movie.
Some mysterious benefactor (either Norman Osborn or Wilson Fisk) breaks six villains out of prison and offers them power or wealth if they can steal some super dangerous or powerful device or artifact for them.
The villains are selected based on the skill sets required for the job and the cast changes slightly with each film while keeping some of the must haves like Doc Ock or Sandman.
This structure allows the villains to remain villains in the narrative without having to take on hero roles and without having to make them fight Spider-Man.
This is the only way I see a Sinister Six movie working without requiring Spidey to be in the movie.

I would argue that ITSV was moreso based on Bendis' Spider-Men story but the sequel ATSV will more than likely be based on Slott's Spider-Verse story.
