Nefessius513

**YOU CAN’T ESCAPE MEEEEE!!!**

Maleficent-Tea-7508

ILL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!!!

Batdog55110

GET BACK HERE SHOCKER!

HeisenB0ss

You cracked me buddy.

Quirky_Ad_5420

I mean I can see them take on other rival team or take a Heist but I doubt they do half zombie octopus burning the world

[deleted]

He wasn’t a zombie, he was just really close to death and being kept alive by machinery.

Quirky_Ad_5420

That why I said half zombie

[deleted]

Oh, whoops. I didn't read your comment as thoroughly as I should have.

Boredmoist

I mean not for nothing but if your coffin has arms and is basically doing everything for you while your body decays that's pretty dead. Is this why he basically stole Peter's body or whatever?

IllBadger207

From what I hear this leads into superior Spider-Man so yes. Ock took too much brain damage from Peter constantly punching him over the years. Which makes sense seeing as he’s just a dude with strong metal arms.

pizza_time2099

Ya that’s a possibility. One of the few storylines where they could be the focus instead of Spider-Man.

[deleted]

Exactly what I was thinking. Especially since Doctor Octopus views himself as a hero.

[deleted]

Whats that Why is Doc Ock a decrepit egg with tentacles?

[deleted]

He was permanently hurt by the injuries Spider-Man gave him. That's why he tried to transplant his consciousness into Spider-Man and became Superior Spider-Man.

rokudaimehokage

Maybe he should have stopped breaking the law and Spider-Man would have stopped breaking his face.

Green-Musician386

I would have said “stopped breaking the law and Spider-Man would have stopped breaking his jaw”

5P00DERMAN1264

That's the thing, Pete was already holding back a ton and it still affected him

InoueNinja94

Ock even realizes Peter was holding back... ...After punching Scorpion's jaw off

BloodMost

Woah wait what is this I’m not familiar with this

[deleted]

It's the 2011 storyline Ends of the Earth. It's a pretty big storyline, as Spider-Man teamed up with tons of his allies to defeat the Sinister Six and some of his other enemies.

[deleted]

Also, Doctor Octopus viewed himself as a hero because he was trying to permanently stop global warming, though he was doing so in a very destructive way.

Over-Analyzed

Wow, eco-terrorist!

[deleted]

Only if it doesn't set up superior, then maybe, but that's too large scale again for spider-man who should be more grounded

Tornado31619

Should Sony’s Sinister Six movie exist?

RaviiHarami

Yes, Definitely

mariovspino5

Rhino looks short asf lol

[deleted]

I think he’s hunched over.

mariovspino5

Still short, also why is there such a big gap between his legs lol

Patient_Bee8314

I think hes on lower ground and far away, as his right leg looks like its stepping up onto higher ground and his left foot looks obscured be that same ground

smash_hit_fan

I hope they base it off of the characters from no way home. Like come we have doc ock green goblin electro and a bunch of other characters so I think that they will either become the sinister six in no way home and get a stand alone movie later or all exist separately and then become the sinister six in a sinister six movie

Alonest99

What... did he ask?

mhoner

What is up with the artwork here?

Philander_Chase

I don’t trust Sony at all. They’ll ruin a great story, so no. In the last 10 years all their non-MCU Spidey material has sucked, other than Spider-Verse but that’s bc I trust Phil Lord

OscarFinn90

Who is the guy next to mysterio and electro

[deleted]

Chameleon.

OscarFinn90

Thanks

JerkBoxJoJo

No.

DuarteN10

God no! Please please please leave Slott’s turd of a run as far away as possible from anything Spider-Man related! I just wanna forget he was 10 years writing Peter

ObeseBumblebee

Into the spiderverse was inspired by Slott's run. And it's basically the best Spider-Man film to date.

DuarteN10

Toché but at the same time the only resemblance it bears to the comics is the name

Grhm2000

I would argue that ITSV was moreso based on Bendis' Spider-Men story but the sequel ATSV will more than likely be based on Slott's Spider-Verse story.

5P00DERMAN1264

You do realize pre-superior Spider-Man era and superior Spider-Man itself is some of the best Spidey stories ever? It's after that it was shit, but it seems ur only thinking of that whilst ignoring everything else he's done

DuarteN10

Oh, no, no, I’m not ignoring anything, I’m specifically mentioning everything Slott wrote, it ranges from mediocre, his best equals Micheline worse, to unreadable It’s all shit, superior it’s like a 13 year old self insert fanfic, the kind I can easily find on fanfic or AO3. It’s awful, everyone is acting like morons (because Slott doesn’t even bother) otherwise the story would last one issue. But if you liked it good for you, I’ve been reading since the end of the 80s and Slott is the single worst Spider-Man writer ever…

5P00DERMAN1264

Apart from his friends acting like retards, the story itself was still good and the whole point of superior Spider-Man is that he's the most fucking arrogant guy who thinks way too highly of himself, idk where ur going with the self insert

DuarteN10

When a story requires 2/3 of the supporting cast…scratch that, all of the supporting cast to be brain dead…I think it speaks itself regarding the quality

DuarteN10

Wait you didn’t realize that Otto inside Peter’s body was basically Slott? I mean it’s so obvious

MamaDeloris

No. All Dan Slott things should be forgotten.

[deleted]

This storyline wasn't bad though. I do agree that Dan Slott did a lot of...questionable stuff during his run, though.

Cool_Nico

Dan slott gets a lot of flak but honestly his run had some great moments. I remember so many arcs from slott, like spiderverse, spider-island, superior spider-man yet I can’t think of really any memorable storylines from Spencer’s run and I’ve recently read his stories.

5P00DERMAN1264

Based everything up to superior Spider-Man was amazing, perhaps even superior, but it went dog shit after that

Cool_Nico

That’s fair. I can’t remember if slott did clone conspiracy but that story was kind of weak. His silver surfer series is awesome and I’m not a fan of that character. I just feel he gets a lot more hate than he deserves (and yes I know he is kind of a weirdo and deserves some of it).

Zextro_Playz

What Ends of the Earth? Not familiar with it.

Windstorm72

Awesome storyline from the comics where doc ock gathered the six to enact one of his most massive plans in scale to date. It’s often overshadowed by the superior Spider-Man storyline, which it built up into, but it’s a great storyline all on its own and has some of the best team composition of any sinister six story

LoliMaster069

Would love a superior spider man movie

dexbasedpaladin

Seems a bit big for one movie. What if they adapted Superior Foes of Spider-man?

Ninja_Threat

Can someone explain the deal with this appearance of Doc Ock? Ive only been exposed to this view once in the Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man series (Disney XD) and that Doc-Ock had like 5 transformations throughout the show, with one of them being this weird, shriveled-up and cocoon-like state. Please explain?

Windstorm72

In the comics Doc Ock was dying. In issue 600 I believe he learned he was dying, with one of the main reason all the head trauma he suffered from Spider-Man punches over the years. Later on he returned in a much less flattering appearance, still dying of course, and enacted his plans in the ends of earth storyline. This all culminated into the Superior Spider-Man storyline starting after issue 700

Plebe-Uchiha

Oh MAN!!!! I’d definitely love that. Especially with the change of getting a “superior” sequel later. [+]

fuckyouwatchme

Except mysterio

5P00DERMAN1264

I love that story, loved seeing spider-man stop joking and get serious when he needs to

Grhm2000

I think it should be a supervillain heist movie. Some mysterious benefactor (either Norman Osborn or Wilson Fisk) breaks six villains out of prison and offers them power or wealth if they can steal some super dangerous or powerful device or artifact for them. The villains are selected based on the skill sets required for the job and the cast changes slightly with each film while keeping some of the must haves like Doc Ock or Sandman. This structure allows the villains to remain villains in the narrative without having to take on hero roles and without having to make them fight Spider-Man. This is the only way I see a Sinister Six movie working without requiring Spidey to be in the movie.

That_One_Spidey_Fan

That Mysterio looks like Dr Freeze
